Good morning, it isn't too hot here, as yet, it is forecast though. I am feeling much better and managed to do my own shopping so now my new fridge is full. I slept a full 10 hours after missing out on sleep the night before.

Daisy, what a carry on for you both at the hospital, the heat wouldn't help much either.xxx

Oma, it is nice that your GS still visits so often. Love the grandchildren!!!!

I bought a lemon melon on the market last week, they are new he told me, I only cut it open this morning and they are very nice so I got another whilst I was there, they are a little sour, like a lemon, I like tangy fruit.

If the photo works it is my brother and sister in law at a wedding they attended last weekend.

Sun just making an appearance, didn’t show much yesterday. DD has just been in to check on me as they are going out for the day with GGD1. It will be nice for GGD to spend time on her own with DD and Sil as baby H is on holiday.
Still not feeling too bad, apart from a head cold. I phoned a friend yesterday and she said she had covid, it is certainly doing the rounds here. It is too warm in my sunroom so I am having to sit indoors with the fan on, I might go and sit on DD’s terrace as they will be out, they have some comfy chairs and shade. The front garden could do with a water but it is a bit of a struggle with the hose that far and it needs a good soak.

Gemini, that little boy loves his GM very much, he has been missing you a lot. I don’t suppose your mum has realised you haven’t been to visit her but I hope you find her well.

Daisy, poor you and your OH, that hospital visit was a bit of a nightmare for you both. I hope your OH isn’t too uncomfortable today.

Oma, I don’t know how you manage on those few hours sleep. Storm will love his chicken and rice and his ice cream. I saw some doggie ice creams being sold last week.

Good morning everyone (just). Another warm day here, but more cloudy. It's much more comfortable.

Nanto - I bet you're looking forward to seeing GD and her beautiful son. I hope she's making a good recovery from the C-section.

Plant - I bet your DD will have a lovely time with GGD1 for a change. Even though you love all your GCs sometimes it's great to have just one at a time.

Ooops - door bell back in a minute.

It was the fishman - he supplies lovely frozen fish, but in quite large quantities and I haven't got room in the freezer at the moment.

Plant - I hope you are feeling better today. Eva had her first doggy ice cream while we were away and she loved it. I'll have to get her some more.

Gem - I hope your mum is ok. It must feel ages since you saw her, but you need to pace yourself and get properly better. What a lovely afternoon you had with GS1. Relaxing and reading sounds a good plan. Is S playing golf? How did she get on in the heat the other day (sorry, I can't remember which day it was - I'm still in a bit of a holiday mode!)

Oma - poor you, not being able to sleep in the heat. You need an air con unit in your bedroom! Do take it easy - follow Storm's example and rest, although you can choose somewhere more comfortable than on the grass or under the coffee table. Your GS1 is such a lovely lad. My GSs live too far away to just drop in, but it's lovely when we do get a chance to see them, and seem to be able to pick up where we left off from the previous time we saw them. How is Martin now?

Lizzie - you're sounding much more like your usual busy self, and you must feel happy that your fridge is working and well-stocked. How lovely to see the photo of your BIL and SIL. I hope it's not too long before you can all meet up again.

Grauntie, love, how are you? Will you be ok for tomorrow?

Nanto - it's great to have a day when you can potter, or rest or whatever with no plans or deadlines. Enjoy yourself. x

OH's eye isn't too bad today. He slept well, which helps, and we're having a quiet day pottering round. I've done a few loads of washing. Our washing machine is on its way out - I think every load will be its last, so I'm shopping for a new one! The weeds have taken advantage of us being away last week, but it's too warm to do much in the garden today. Dog training has been cancelled because it's too hot in the hall for the dogs (and us!).

nice to hear you managed to do your shopping and fill your fridge up , at least if it gets too hot to go out you have plenty in ,
Love your SILs dress very smart .

            Daisy
Storm won’t eat doggy ice cream he’s a snob has to be the best for him 😂😂😂
He has just ate a big bowl of vanilla Carte d’or , he had it all around his nose
He is now flat out in the shade , a very happy dog 😁

Phoned Clare this morning see how they are ,
She is feeling better but Martin has a bad dose of COVID he feels dreadful ,
They think Fin may have it as he’s full of cold but don’t want to test him as he’s been prodded and poked enough ,
Dr said they can’t do anything anyway just have to ride it out and as long as his breathing is ok not to worry .

Easier said than done I’m sure but he’s happy enough and has no high temperature.

it’s gone from a overcast cooler day to full on sun and heat again .

Goodness Oma, M and C certainly deserve a break.

It's tomorrow that I am going to see my mum.
Today was a lovely garden resting day.
OH invited SS, her golf friend and my aqua friend
, over to sit in the garden with us this afternoon. It was good to see her.

It hasn’t been the best start has it , once they all well again we hope they can start to enjoy this baby .
He is sleeping well and feeding well so apart from the cold like symptoms he’s doing ok ,

Clare’s covid tests are fading so she’s on the mend ,

Gem, lovely to have friends visiting. We've had a couple of family members pop in. They've brought cards and presents for the baby. My sister in law and hubby came. They are awaiting the birth of their granddaughter. She is the first grandchild. She is 8 days overdue now.

Nanto - another baby in the clan - I hope your SIL and OH will be grandparents any day now. Do they know if it's a girl or a boy?

Oma - poor Martin. Surely it's time they had some time to relax and enjoy their beautiful little boy. They must wonder what's going to happen next. Storm - just don't tell Eva how much you like Carte d'Or!!!

Gem - what a lovely day, resting and enjoying seeing a friend in the garden.

I've finally caught up with the washing. I did the Duvelays today plus towels, dog towels and whites (not all together!). Our washing machine is on it's last legs - it's very old and the bearings are going. The neighbours must wonder what all the noise is. Goodness know when I'll get round to the ironing though. I did baked cod and salad for dinner which was quite nice.

OH has been pottering round all day and his eye hasn't been too bad. Hopefully tomorrow he'll be back to normal.

morning, I have been for an early morning bike ride whilst it is still cool. There is a rare bird spotted not far from here and all the bird watchers were out and about with their camera's. It is this bird. A Squacco heron.
