    Good morning all.
Looks like it's going to be another nice day again today but for this next of the woods tomorrow heavy rain and thunder is forecast..

Plant I hope the wedding can go on as planned.

Oma I am feeling much better thanks, I think the improvement in the weather has helped. It's sod's law Isn't, you wait for lockdown to ease, the weather to improve and when you eventually get to be able to sit outside with family and friends you have to go indoors because it's too hot! Pleased to hear you enjoyed the day. Hope you slept well last night.

Nan2 I have some hammerite paint which I am going to use on the metal bird bath today. It needs a bit of a touch up as the winter weather hasn't been too kind to it.

All this talk of gardening has made me realise that apart from OH cutting the small lawn at the back of the bungalow and I have a couple of planters to keep tidy we don't have much else to do outside. As we live in a small ' complex with other people of a certain age the grass at the front of the bungalows are cut for us. In fact they would normally cut the grass at the back also but OH has insisted on doing it himself. He is very fussy with his lawn, they would never made a good enough job of it as far as he is concerned.
W3 aren't missing the extra work we had with the garden at our previous place, truth be told, it was getting too much for us.

Yesterday evening we sat outside watching two squirrels playing on the garden fence and dropping into the neighbours garden rummaging amongst the bird feeder for something to eat. At the moment they haven't been able to infiltrate our nut feeder on the bird feeding station but yesterday morning I did notice that the Robin and blackbird feeding tray that I had placed on the ground had been moved, I am wondering if they moved it or was a fox that the neighbour has said visits the garden from time to time.
We haven't seen any at the moment.

I have some ironing to do today but I could easily persuade my self not to do anything as foolish as that.

    Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Not sure what I am going to do today, no plans really.

The squirrels are venturing into the garden, as we live backing onto woods, not surprising really. We used to have nests quite close to our hedge and they made a horrid noise. Fortunately the tree with the nest had to come down so they have moved away and they don’t like the cat. I can’t say I like them, they are rats with tails Now the red squirrel
is delightful. My apologies to the squirrel lovers.

Mimi, I think it is going to be too hot for ironing, leave it for another day and do something you enjoy.

Morning ladies what a lovely morning it is ,

I had a ok sleep but a bit of a headache with the sun , mind you I did crashed out from 10 till about 2 B said I was so sound asleep I snored , then it was fits and starts but at least I had a few solid hours .

We used to have a squirrel that came to the patio doors every morning to be fed , haven't seen him this year so we presume he has died or moved on .

Its too warm for ironing ladies unless you do it before the sun is up so close the door on it till its cooler

Gem at least the children can get into the garden have you put the pool up ?

Did what I had to do then went to Lidl for fresh bread it was still warm from the ovens , apart from that we have no plans see how the day goes
Have a lovely day ladies whatever you are doing xxx

Hallo, I was too late going for my ride and it was too hot! I had been at my neighbours for coffee, the one with the Rag Doll cat, she has decided to keep it, it is a lovely cat to see.

I am going to get my hair cut later then home again. I was so tired yesterday again from the vaccination, feels better today.

I read in the news that a lot of 60+ here refused the AZ vaccine so now have the choice of another, Pfizer, Moderna or Janssen.

Oma, I have just been to the Lidl for bread.

Lizzie Rag dolls are lovely cats but a lot of work grooming and they do scratch things ,
One of my neighbours had two and one of them would hang off her curtains , it ruined them , the other one was no bother but their coats tangle if not groomed almost everyday , Pretty eyes though .

DD2's ragdoll is adorable and no trouble. She's about 16 now. They are bred to be docile so shouldn't be destroying things!
Their coats do need a lot of care.
care. We are having a busy day here. All relaxing now. Older two watching something on laptop GS drawing.

Gem, this one certainly isn't docile!!!! He was into everything whilst I was there.

Oma, this one is white with tan markings and orange eyes.

I decided not to do the ironing today, well I had to sit and watch the birds in the garden, it seemed like a more important job !

I don't believe the way this year is going, just heard , youngest GS has broken his foot . He is ok but already bored as older brother is playing football outside and he can't join in.

The vet rang , our beautiful cat's ashes are ready to be collected. We will go tomorrow to fetch them.

Gem - we posted together this morning and as my post was at the top of the screen I didn't see yours! I hope you have had a brilliant day with all three GCs. I bet it was beautiful out on the golf course.

Mimi - it's it great that you can relax in your new garden and be entertained by the local wildlife. I'm inclined to agree with Plant about grey squirrels, and they do a lot of damage to trees by stripping the bark off. But there's something about them that is slightly endearing. Leaving the ironing was the right decision on such a warm day! Oh dear, your poor GS! I hope it doesn't take long to heal up. How old is he?

Oma - I'm glad you managed to get some decent sleep - even if poor B was serenaded by the snores. Oma - my cousin who was very active in cat rescue in London used to say that people often didn't know how to look after rag doll kitties. She'd get very frustrated with people who had them because they thought the cats were cute, but then didn't look after them.

Lizzie - what made your neighbour change her mind about keeping the rag doll cat? I'm glad you've recovered ok from your vaccination.

Mimi - I'm sure it will be very emotional collecting your beloved kitty's ashes tomorrow, but I hope having them home will help to ease your sadness. Sending hugs. xx

We went out to the garden centre and I found a lovely Weigela plant and a nice pot for a friend's birthday and a load of compost to refresh the tomato beds and a new 'bath' for the bird bath. We then went on a wild goose chase for some thick black plastic to line the raised beds OH is making for DS2. The garden centre didn't have any. Screwfix stock it but didn't have any - they recommended the garden centre we'd just been to - and a garden supplies shop didn't have any. The general hardware shop next door didn't have any either, but OH was just leaving when he saw a member of staff he knows. He gave OH more than enough plastic sheeting for the job - free. They were just about to put it in the skip!

It was too hot to do any gardening when we got back, so we'll see what tomorrow brings.

                      Beautiful morning again.

Off to sort some washing out. First job of the day.

                      Have a good day ladies.

Good morning Nanto, and your trio of happy little chappies. It's beautiful here as well.

Top of the agenda today is gardening. I need to empty the wallflowers out of the tomato raised beds, replace the soil and plant the tomatoes. Hopefully before the sun comes round on to them and it gets too hot. I love the hot weather, but find I can't work in it like I used to.

                        I'll pop back later.

                          Good morning ladies.

I'm glad to hear some of you resisted the gardening and the ironing yesterday!
Take it easy out there today Daisy.
Washing set to go on here too Nan2. Got to make the most of good drying weather!
Mimi, there is sadness in collecting the ashes, but also comfort at having her back with you again xx

I had such a lovely day with the 3 GC yesterday
The only thing on my agenda today is the library this afternoon. I think I will be sitting in the library garden between customers.
                          Have a good Wednesday everyone.

Good morning, hot again, just had a ride to my garage, I could smell petrol in my garage so phoned them, they couldn't find anything and said it could have been with me filling up with petrol the other day or, from another garage!!!

Daisy, my friend had phoned the breeder and also been to the vet , they assured her it is only the kitten in him, so, she decided to keep him.

Gem, pleased you had a good day with the grandchildren. Is it half term??

Good luck with the gardening Daisy, it is amazing how my hanging baskets have grown with 3 days sun.

I want to go for a bike ride before I leave it too late again.

A trip to a garden centre for me today, we are looking for plants in flower to decorate the area where the Hen Do is being held. I have been given the job of entertaining my GD on the day in case she arrives here before they are ready at 2.00 I can foresee a calamity arising. I do not understand why they want it to be a surprise.
Baby H has a very small place on her face which I think is ringworm, GD was going to contact her doctor. Now where has she picked that up from.

Daisy, things are growing fast now, my tomato plants (bought) are in a grow bag in the greenhouse. If you don’t get into the garden early, it gets too hot later. Watch out for your face, get that hat on.

Gemini, have a nice quiet time in the garden at the library, have you finished that hidden book?

Mimi, you will feel comfort having your cat’s ashes with you, although we have never had our much loved pets ashes. I think I remember you had plans where you were going to ley them.

Thanks for your cheerful song Nanto, have a lovely dsay.

Yes is is half term Lizzie, they have all this week off. It was sensible to get the petrol smell checked out!
Plant, I have finished the hidden book! Someone had moved it to it's correct shelf but it hadn't been borrowed.
