    Plant that all sounds lovely
Hoping the woodburner installation tomorrow is a smooth one WG.

We had a very nice lunch. The place we went to is my favourite one for Sunday lunch. Afterwards we went to walk around the nearby locks, but not for too long as the damned rain started again! We decided to call in on a friend and her mum, who now lives with her, on the way back. We were glad we did as they were both pleased to see us, and we had a cuppa and good chat.
We will be setting off again at around 7.30 to go to DD's.

We should have gone out for our walk first thing this morning but it started to rain before we got round to it! Fortunately Eva isn't fussed - she'd rather stay indoors when it's this wet, and she was tired after all her shenanigans yesterday! :S

WG - I hope the woodburning stove goes in without any hitches. I seem to remember it was a bit noisy and dusty when we had ours installed, but they had to widen the chimney part because we wanted space at the sides. It's well worth it though, I love our woodburner. Have you got logs in ready to try it out?

Nanto - typical. You put the washer on and the rain starts! Like others have said, I don't know how two people can make so much washing - we always seem to have loads of it.

Gem - what a lovely day - just what you need to cheer up a dreary January Sunday. xx

The week-ends seem to fly by! I've been a busy bee today - flicked the yellow thing round downstairs and our bedroom, pushed the sucky up thing round downstairs, did 4 loads of washing, cooked liver for Eva's training treats, and made up food for her for the next week or so, made bread, cooked dinner and all we have to do now is make our bed up when OH has finished watching the Christine Keeler programme. I struggle to do a king size duvet on my own.

I have to change my bedding tomorrow Daisy, I find it almost impossible to do it on my own. Mine is king size too.

Good morning, Nan2, Oma and all who follow.

The sun is out and OH is sitting in one of the back bedrooms (we sleep at the front) doing the one hour bird watch. She keeps shouting reports through
We are both going over to my mum's later, and I am eating out with friends this evening.
We had a good evening at DD2's and covered some ground regarding holiday plans. DD1 is completely new to Florida and theme parks, so is happy to be guided by DD2 and us. GD was allowed to stay up for part of the meeting, and was extremely giddy about it all

                Have a good Monday.

Trip getting closer Gem, good idea to do some planning. Hope your mum is okay, enjoy your meal with friends.

Bowls for me this afternoon but not before I have changed the bedding and pushed the sucky thing around. Rain again in the night, sun shining atm.

Good morning, everyone. Nanto - that's a nice cheery start to the new week.

Yes, we had rain in the night. Plenty of it from seeing the amount of flooding in the Forest again.

I hope WG's woodburner is getting installed without too much mess and trouble. It seems any internal work leaves everywhere covered in dust.

Eva and Cooper have run off their initial burst of energy and are both now snoozing - Cooper on my feet and Eva strategically placed on the landing so no-one can move without her seeing! Nosey little monkey.

Plant - enjoy your bowls. Yes, big duvets are a struggle. I don't know why the one our our bed seems more difficult than the guest bed duvet - they're exactly the same.

Gem, it sounds as though your Florida plans are all coming together well. I be GD was thrilled to be allowed to stay up for a while. I hope your Mum's ok.

Oma - I hope the sun stays around, especially when you've got Storm. It saves on some of the muddy paw marks.

OH has to go out tonight, so I'm cooking for lunch-time - sausage and mash looks the best option as the fridge needs restocking! I don't know where all the food goes - it's like the accumulation of washing in reverse. The washing pile grows while the food pile disappears.

Daisy, same thing happens here with the washing and food.

Washing machine and dishwasher have both had a good clean today.

Just taken some rump steak out of the freezer, for dinner tomorrow.

Haha Nanto - we must have the same kind of gremlins eating the food and making washing! Rump steak sounds nice. I'm not a great steak fan, but just occasionally ... yum

Gem - how was your Mum today?

Daisy, Mum was good thanks. We (and by we I mean OH, I mostly chatted to mum!) Undercoated a flaking drainpipe at the front of the house that had been bothering mum, and took her an old but working DVD player of ours and fixed it up for her, as hers is broken. Still very forgetful, but that's not going to change.
The restaurant I was going to with my friends is closed until February!!! We had to go a pub around the corner as we couldn't be bothered to go further. Nice staff, not so nice food. Never mind, it's meeting friends that counts not what you eat or where you go.

Good to hear your mum was ok.

Daisy, i love steak, not hubby's favourite, but he will have it now and again for a change.

                              Good morning Nan2, and ladies.

I am meeting friend T, the one who stayed with us Christmas Eve and NYE today. We are having lunch in my favourite cafe in my village and a browse of the shop we both love. She is still signed off work after her knee replacement, looking forward to a catch up.

Sunny morning here. I hope everyone is well.
