Jack Frost visited us today but lovely and sunny. Had to drive through a cloud burst on the way to Trefoil last evening. Christmas lunch out with WI today.

Grauntie I used to love seeing the little ones concert.

A better night for us last night with only a couple of loo visits and no helicopters!

They have started the work to replace the gas pipes in the road so we’re in for a noisy time

It’s not so wet here but still showery and very dark.

Well im at home and not in York ,
My train was cancelled and the next one too ,
One came in going to Kings Cross that stopped at York but by this time there were two train loads of passengers trying to get on a already packed train from Newcastle .

Next Train was at 10.15 that would of been ok just meant I wouldn't get into York till 11am but then the Ticket master said he couldn't say that one may be delayed or even cancelled so I wasn't going to stand on a freezing platform on the chance ,

Had to ring B to come back and get me ,

I am gutted and had a few tears in the car I was so looking forward to today even had my hair done yesterday ,
Im so cold too I cant get my fingers warmed .

Lots of people in ticket office shouting at the young man behind the desk , poor lad it wasn't his fault
Someone said it was industrial action but I hadn't heard anything and right up to 5 minutes before it was due it said on time,
So whatever happened must have been in Newcastle .

I have looked forward to today for weeks , im upset but cant do anything now

I got there really early too Gem , my train was 9.34 I was there for 9.05 , blooming blowing a icy wind too .

I have Clover , I had a little nap this afternoon snuggled in a blanket , felt a bit sorry for myself to be honest , silly I know but the disappointment made me so upset , its a few years since I have seen WG and last year for Qwerty and GJ

OH and I are going out soon to see friends and take their card and presents. OH is having her tea. Having had a lovely lunch and pudding late I think I will have a satsuma!
