Gem, thoughts are with you both today, very difficult and sad decision but the right one for her. Pleased you are having a busy day.

Clover, shopping with G must be difficult for you, hope you manage to get all you wanted.

Oma, what a worry for the parents, I hope your great-nephew is home soon.

Wet here today, have to pop out to pick up a parcel later. Swelling no better, dentist really cheered me up, she said if it goes up to my eye to get to the hospital as that can be dangerous!!
Trefoil this evening, Christmas crafts and a silent auction of Christmas items. I am taking a jar of my home-made mincemeat, mince pies and some baubles. I wonder what I will come back with.

Oma, hope the baby makes a speedy recover. Such a worry when they are so tiny. Clover, hope you can get some rest today after your disturbed night. Plant, could the dentist not help at all? Hope it improves for you.

Saw doctor yesterday about my neck. Definately caused by being in the dentist chair plus a bit of wear and tear. He knew exactly how I was feeling as he said the same thing happened to him after a dentist visit a couple of months ago. He prescribed a muscle relaxant and to do gentle exercises. I feel much better today thank goodness, not so giddy either so I think it is getting better. He said it will take time but at least I know it’s nothing serious.

I didn’t get the tree and decorations down yesterday as I fell asleep after lunch, so we are doing it today, well, thats the plan. We are going round to our friends for a meal tonight which will be nice.

I think I must be the worst Grandma in the world. It's my little GD2's Nativity play this afternoon. And I'm not going. Usually there are no tickets but this year there were a few extra and DIL got 2 (they can't go because of the shop being busy) so DIL asked if I'd like to go. I said 'no'. I would have had to leave home at lunch-time to take Cooper back and then rush to the school. There would be no parking by then so I'd have to walk quite a way. Then I'd have to hang around for half an hour with GD2, after she finished to collect GD1, and then walk them to wherever I'd left the car. GD1 has a performance of The Lion King at school tonight and has to be back there by 5, and will need her tea first, so I'd have to rush home with them, feed two tired and excited GDs and put them both back in the car to take GD1 back to school for the performance.

        Then it's dog training!

I'm already tired and feeling a bit under the weather, so I decided not to go to the Nativity play.

Clover - I'm sorry you had such a disturbed night. I hope G settles better tonight, and the helicopter doesn't make a return visit. I does sound as though they were looking for someone.

Qwerty - it's hard to keep someone's spirits up, very exhausting. Will he go with you to the Carol services?

WeeGranny - I bet your 'children' will be very excited today. How kind of you to take them cards and presents.

Daisy we can't always go to everything, and you are so busy.
Enfys nice that the Dr was sympathetic.
Poor Plant, I really hope the swelling goes down soon.
Clover, that must be so tiring. I hope you both have a better night tonight.

GS was sweet as Owl 2 in his play ( I think Owl 1 must have been away as GS was the only speaking Owl! )
I'm having a cuppa and spending a bit of time with GS before heading back to get ready to go out. The concert starts at 6.30.
It was so windy driving here my little car was being buffeted. I was scared overtaking lorries. I will go back through town. Longer but safer in these conditions.

                  Evening All,
So very sad to hear Glams news.
Gem, I feel for you. I had to face the same decision 3 months ago, but nothing on this earth was going to make her better so, like you,it was the kindest thing I could do.
Oma I hope that little chap is well soon.
I have just been sent some clips of GS3s (reception year) carol service. O is singing his heart out but the little chap next to him is very enthusiastic with actions in between picking his nose! His Santa hat is adult size and keeps falling over his face. 😂 I hope his parents have filmed it, it is priceless.
Had a Chinese tonight and as always, wish I hadn’t.

                    Good morning everyone.

Our friends concert for her pupils was lovely. Some very talented children. I love seeing how individual they are. Some dressing very smartly for the occasion. Some in Christmas jumpers, others very casual.
The meal at the Indian restaurant was good fun. However despite choosing a mild dish, which tasted very mild I have had an awful night of tummy pain and loo visits, despite 2 lots of IBS tablets ☹️

Anyway apart from a bit of soreness it's over now.

Looking forward to meeting up with my friends, and sorry Nana won't be joining us.

Have a good day whatever you do.

OH is now giving me a lift, so no buses or driving!
The weather here yesterday was appalling, today the forecast is good.

Good morning, ladies. After the storms yesterday today is quiet and calm with a watery sun just rising.

Nanto - what a lovely calm, peaceful graphic - hopefully reflecting what today will bring. I love seeing horses being ridden on the beach - I don't know why, it just looks amazing.

Gem - how lovely of OH to give you a lift to your meet up venue. I'm glad you enjoyed the children's concert. I remember when GS2 was having piano lessons and he always wore a smart suit for his concerts.

Oma - I hope you're not too tired to enjoy today.

I hope you all have a great time - just behave yourselves, if possible.

I'm getting on with Christmas things today! Writing cards and some online shopping. But I've just realised I've forgotten to send one of my SILs a birthday card for tomorrow! She lives abroad, so no chance of it getting there in time. I'll send an ecard but I'll be lucky if her proper card gets there before Christmas.

Grauntie - the video of your GS3's carol service sounds priceless. Well done to O for his strenuous singing. As you say, I hope the family of his classmate see the performance. I hope you've recovered from your Chinese last night. It's horrible how our advancing ages affect our food choices. I find I don't sleep if I eat late at night now.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who keeps thinking of Glamma. I know her family will be gathered round her, but it's so hard.
