Oma, how are you feeling this morning,

Just peeping outside I think it’s the ‘Calm before the storm’ situation here today. A dry day is forecast but tomorrow it’s supposed to be very wet and windy....again !
I hope to get a lot done today, bed needs changing, got lots of washing to get through and I want to spend sometime in the garden as hanging baskets need coming down, geraniums have to be taken up from the garden before we get some frost , hyacinths have to be planted in the wooden wheelbarrow besides doing a general tidy up. I need to get a wriggle on and make a start.

Off to Dentist at 9.30 not sure if they taking my Molar out today or have to go back .

Mimi best get it done today as you may not get it done the rest of the week if the forecast is right .
Nanto hope in laws are ok and you have some time to yourself today ,

Good news for Nana, and glad to hear you are feeling a little brighter today Oma, I hope the dentist appointment goes well.
Between Costco and Ikea yesterday we spent a small fortune! Still, I did get some books for the boy GCs (3) for gifts.
Today, like Mimi I must empty the garden pots etc. Then I will weed out the never-to-be-worn agains from the wardrobe, then I can sew, oh joy.😁

We are going to see Downton Abbey today with friends, and a meal afterwards. It is part one of our friends mum's 70th birthday celebrations!
Leaflet delivering may take place today (it was too wet yesterday) but my knee is not good, so I don't know. I will tell my friend to take me off the list for now. I really struggled with the last round.

Good morning.
Sorry for feeling a bit quiet lately. Things and thoughts seem to have piled up on me in the last week. Also DS had to have his cat put to sleep unexpectedly so feeling so sorry for him. Though a grown man it hit him hard and we’ll always be Mum won’t we ?

Yesterday to add to it all I found water on my bedroom window sill and a wet patch above. I’m expecting a roofer this morning to see what the problem is. I can’t see any tiles lifted so I’m hoping it might be the rain getting in under the soffit which hopefully would be easier(and cheaper) to fix.We’ve taken the full brunt of the wind and rain on this side of the house lately.

I’m also looking out for a delivery of bird seed. I’ve completely run out . I thought I’d ordered some a while ago but when it didn’t turn up I realised I couldn’t have completed the order, so had to do it again. I hope the birds forgive me.

Oma I hope the dentist goes well and the cold continues to improve.
Gem I’m sure you’ ll enjoy DA.and have a nice meal afterwards.

Well im back from Dentist minus a very large back Molar but with two stitches , it was a awkward B***er came out in bits and root wouldn't budge so had to cut my gum a little .
Feel a bit battered and bruised , she was lovely though said my cold wasn't so heavy that it would cause a problem I wasn't sneezing and could breath through my mouth so she went ahead with it ,
Numbness wearing off and im feeling it now so pain killers taken

Clover best to get any leaks done now before the winter , Poor DS especially if it was unexpected poor Puss xx
Im sure the birds will forgive you

Gem enjoy your day , I think its wise not to deliver for a while , that knee was playing up in Brum I said to B when I came home you were walking badly on it and up ad down those stairs didn't help they were so steep xx

Phew, that’s the washing done, hyacinths planted, two hanging baskets down and emptied. Now I am having a catch up till I go and cook lunch, heaven only knows what we are having. Hopefully inspiration will kick in when I look in the fridge or freezer!

Gem enjoy Downton and have a lovely meal. OH did suggest seeing Downton which I was surprised about. If we go it will have to be next week, if it’s still on that is.

Oma, poor you, your not having a very good week are you. Hope all your ‘sore bits’ heal soon.

Thanks WG. We’re in for the tail end of Hurricane Lorenzo on Friday.

Mimi I think the birds have forgiven me.The feeders are filled again and I treated them to some suet pellets(with insects!)

The roof man finally came. He didn’t bring any ladders and can’t see anything from the ground so will come when less busy to investigate properly. He was bemoaning the moss on the tiles and saying the vent ,which has been fine for donkeys years is fitted wrongly.I’ve a feeling he’ll find more than I bargained for as he said the houses are old,Well I know that, I just want the leak patched up not a whole new roof.

We went for a walk to Pennard Castle which is about half an hour over the golf course.Hope everyone else has managed to enjoy some sun today.

Sorry I haven't posted much but I have managed to read your posts.
Oma, that sounds a nasty experience at the hospital and dentist.
Daisy, another trip to Leek so soon, do try and rest a bit.
I went to see Downton today Gemini, a friend and I had lunch and then went for an afternoon showing.
I have been to the dentist this morning and have the filling re-done as it wasn't right for the crown, not what I was expecting. Going to DS and DIL's house shortly to discuss our trip to Madrid on Friday. I feel I shall meet myself coming back soon, but all enjoyable. Carpet being fitted next Weds and furniture going back, can't wait to sleep in my bedroom again.

Some of you may remember the outfit i had chosen for GD1 wedding.
Well it was coming from China,with very hefty import charges.
Now i don't mind paying for something i really like,but they didn't have very good reviews about returns.
Apparently,customers have been returning things,and being tols customs won't release the items.
So, they end up with no item,plus losing quite a bit of money.
At least i've got 6 months to find another outfit.
Will start looking tomorrow.
