Precisely Plant, some of those receptionists get above themselves!
You may get a cancellation, you need to see someone sooner than a months time WG.
Nan2, I also have some liquorice sometimes as I love it so much, but not often or as much as I would like due to the BP thing.
What a lot of parties Mimi!

Well, I am resting my poor old knee. with ice as it is sore and swollen!
I went to the library (in the car, no knee strain) Then as it was raining we didn't deliver the newsletters, but went shopping. Shoe shop, optician for OH to choose new glasses, B&M, then Tesco for a couple of things and we had lunch there. Then home and out again delivering as it was by then fine. My knee and back hurt more and more as we did the round. No way could I have completed it without OH. When her arm was in plaster, which coincided with the pre election flurry of deliveries I managed fine on my own. Anyway, resting it now, I plan on no more walking today.

Oh dear Gem that sounds painful. Rest that knee now.

WG ,sorry you are suffering too.

It’s been a nice day here after a wet start. I did 3 hours gardening which I now feel was a bit much but I was moving things around and couldn’t stop half way through.

Can you see the steam coming out of my ears? My replacement bookcase came today,a straight swap, but guess what? The same flipping part is missing in the new one. Obviously a bad batch. Anyway straight on the phone again .Another replacement wouldn’t be here until Tuesday which is no good for me and anyway I bet it would be the same story .So now I ‘m going into the store in town to pick up the part on MondayAand it had better be there

Enjoy your evening if you’re going out or staying in.

WG you should have insisted on a phone consultation , how dare a receptionist diagnose you , that's shocking

Hope the aches and pains are better tomorrow Oma and Wee Grannny., although I have broken many bones, I am lucky as yet not to have any arthritic or rhumatic pain.

Plant - it's the Post offices themselves which has closed - we've got post boxes, although it's the luck of the draw when they are emptied. Yes, Oma, it is a long way. But then everything is here, I suppose. It feels as though our village is dying on its feet with all the closures at the moment. Yet it's quite a large village - the largest in the New Forest, has a main line railway station so is popular with commuters to London, but all our amenities and services seem to be closing down! It's very sad.

Oh dear, all these painful hips - mine's the same sometimes, and I find I can't sleep on that side. Wee Granny - I hope that receptionist at your doctor's doesn't do all the patients' diagnoses!

Gem - take it easy! I bet you were on your feet all day yesterday with the GCs.

Nanto - it seems silly it's so hard to find a white cardigan, doesn't it!

Mimi - what a busy month September's going to be for you.

Clover - that's unbelievable that you still haven't got a useable set of shelves! I think your bears should complain!

              Oma - I'm pleased you're feeling a bit better.

Bailey's family arrived back from holiday today and DS1 and GS1 came down to collect him. I'm sure he'll be glad to be back in his own home, but he's been a very good boy. One day off, and then Cooper arrives for 3 or 4 days. Eva won't know whether she's coming or going!
