Have you tried Monsoon or Bon Marche Mimi? I’m guessing you want a softer fabric that hangs nicely. Just a thought.
Have a look at wwwmandco.com, a good selection there.

Plant, i will have a look in Sainsburys next time we go to Wakefield.
It will be in a couple of weeks though.
Going to Pontefract shopping tomorrow, so will have a look in the shops there.

It seems dark early tonight,or my eyes are going.

Celebrated my DD and SIL's 33rd wedding anniversary with some fizz early evening on their terrace in the last of the sun. GS2 home for the weekend, GGS adores him and constantly wants him to play with him.

Plant that sounds a perfect end of the day

I'm feeling a little better this morning, still unwell but not so much pain.

DD picked Dog up last night so no seeing to cats or Dogs walking for me today thankfully.

That's one thing about having pets they don't understand your not well they still need feeding cleaning and walking don't they..

                Good morning everyone.
I hope the sun shines in Pontefract Nan2.

Fizz with the family sounds good Plant.
I hope everyone finds the clothes they are looking for!
Lizzie, I am sorry about those friends.
We posted at the same time Oma. I hope you feel much better as the day goes on.

A good day with the GC yesterday, I will write about it in the Grandmother section.
We had a nice evening with our friend. I am hoping the couple will get back together. I like them both, and the problems between them are not really of their making.

Today I MUST deliver the flipping newsletters! For several days it was just too hot, then it rained, or I was too busy.
I can't seem to get rid of the big gap at the bottom of this post!!!

                Have a good Saturday everyone.

Good morning everyone. It's nice and sunny here at the moment. I hope it stays clear as it's the Bournemouth Air Show today and it's so much better against clear blue skies. We're not going - it's too crowded and noisy for me, but we see the planes arriving and leaving. Yesterday there were two planes flying in such close formation at first I thought there was just one very strange shaped!

Mimi - do you have to have black trousers? I agree with you black can look a bit office-like. Have you thought about say light grey in a slightly silky or satiny type of material. I've got a pair like that and they are so useful for a dressier look and go with anything. they've also got a comfortable waistband which is great when you want to be able to enjoy food as well as party! Good luck.

Plant - you'll end up with a wardrobe of white cardigans - but at least you'll have choices. The anniversary fizz sounds lovely.

                  Nanto - enjoy your shopping.

Oma - I'm pleased you're feeling a bit better - just don't overdo things today. Take it easy.

Gem - sometimes jobs just keep getting put off don't they. I'm sure the leaflets will find their way into letterboxes eventually! I do hope your friends get back together. It's sad when something beyond their control pushes them apart.

I sometimes get a gap like that - it's usually when our internet connection is dodgy.

Yesterday ended up busy. After a morning of letter writing OH went off to the next village to post some of them - our PO has closed down. So has the next villages, and two others. He eventually found one 8 miles away, and I think there's one in a village about 5 miles in a different direction. Then we got on with some much needed gardening, and we were just having dinner when the phone rang. It was for OH and the person kept him talking for well over an hour - it makes me quite cross that people don't ask if it's ok to talk especially at what could be a mealtime. Then I needed to return a call to my SIL who had been trying to ring all day. By then it was bedtime!

Today it's tidying up and a bit of housework. Bailey's family come back from holiday today and they're coming for lunch tomorrow to collect him, so I need to think about food as well!

                  Have a good day everyone.

EDIT - Gem - I've managed to get rid of the extra spaces on your post. I hope you don't mind. I went into Edit and put the cursor just under your graphic box (the edges of the graphic showed up) and used the Delete key. It takes a little while for all the spare lines to disappear but you see the dark grey bar on the right gradually moving down the post.

                      Nothing planned for today yet.

Oma I hope you feel very much better soon. Love your post on FB, your OH and his brother are so funny. I am sure you are pleased you have finished with dog walking. Hope the family had a good holiday.

Daisy, what a long way you have to travel to find a post box. We have four in our village but we are not so rural as you. I suppose people don't send things by post much.

Your GC were having a lovely time in your garden Gemini, I saw pics on FB.

Enjoy your day in Pontefract, my OH used to love liquorice.

I love liquorice too, but you are not supposed to have it if you have high BP

Morning all , it’s rather chilly here with a brisk breeze.
The butcher has just delivered my meat order so that should keep us going a quite a long time .

Gem, I never knew that about liquorice, I must make sure OH doesn’t eat any.

Daisy, that’s an idea , I never thought about having grey trousers, I will see what’s available
Its such a shame about Post Offices and banks that are , or soon to be closed down. Years ago these sort of places were run with the customer in mind, now it’s all about profit and the customer can take it or leave the terrible service that is on offer.

Oma sorry to see that you are still unwell, I hope you are getting plenty of rest, housework can wait for a day or two young lady !

Yesterday DIL invited us to GS’s girl friend 18th birthday party next Sunday . It’s all go this September, I have 7 birthdays this month , a 18th party , an after wedding party and a trip to the theatre, it’s a bit like busses, you wait for one and three come along in succession!

Have a a good weekend everyone

Plant,my hubby loves liquorice as well. I'm not supposed to have it becase of high blood pressure, but i must abmit to eating a few liquorice allsorts when we have some in.
Looked for a white cardigan, but didn't get one.
We haven't been to the supermarket,so just done an online order for Tuesday morning.

Must be something in the air Oma ! My hip has been giving me jip for the past couple of days! According to the receptionist at the GPs, it's only wear and tear and nothing to worry about!!!! First appointment to see a doctor is 30th September otherwise phone for an emergency and whoever is on duty will decide whether I need an appointment or not. I hat having to take painkillers on a regular basis, so I may well phone for an emergency appointment!
When I went along to the beauty parlour at the gym this morning, I went in the spa area and put the shower jet on my hip and then turned the jets in the jaccuzzi on it as well! Hopefully it'll ease the pain a bit. Physio doesn't seem to be doing much good either!
Very black here now with big spots of rain, but managed to get washing dry.
Out for lunch tomorrow so that'll save me on the cooking front. Gammon steaks tonight probably with fried potatoes, not decided yet!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend ladies.

Trying to find travel insurance for OH which doesn't cost an arm and a leg.......any suggestions bearing in mind his condition please ?

Oma...hope your hip is easier now.
