    Good morning everyone.

Wet night here too, but it's fine now.
Another day walking around the golf course with the young teams from other clubs for OH. She said the 3 girls she took yesterday were lovely and really talented. All were around 10 years old!
Doctors appointment for my knee this afternoon. I have cancelled the last one, so I must go this time!

    Have a lovely day everyone.

      Good morning ladies.

Lovely graphic Nanto. We do appreciate them

Gem hope your knee appointment goes well. It’s lovely to hear about your OH encouraging and helping the young ones.I suppose it’s like every sport these days with the youngsters starting early to develope any talents. I had to smile about your comment on Angry Birds

Daisy ,see you later after your hair appointment.

I hope we all have a good day.

I will pop back later. My J L credit card, it seems, has been fraudulently used in our local post office, I was in the post office that day returning a parcel but it was a free return and my credit card didn't leave my purse. I never use my credit card in the Post Office. The amount was for £149 during June..I have spent all morning, so far, sorting it out, good job I checked my account on line. They have cancelled the card and are sending a new one. Now I have to let all my Direct Debit payments know when I get my new card. How do they do it. Apparently it was used for stamps????? Will be back later.

We have just had a downpour, pleased for the garden but I am going to a Summer Gathering to join my Guiding friends this afternoon. I was supposed to be held outside but we shall now have to squash into not a very big hall. I have to have a cooked lunch before I go and take some tea as it will not finish before 7p.m.

What a lovely idea of your OH's to encourage young golfers. Hope the appt. for your knee goes well.

Hallo, Gemini, I do hope the appointment for your knee went well, plantaholic, I am still trying to figure out how that could happen with your credit card???? Very strange, and then for stamps, that is a lot of stamps!! I know they are always ahead of us with their ways to get our money. I was in supermarket yesterday afternoon and 2 young men were (trying) to pay with credit cards, when one didn't work they got the next one out but none worked so between them they scraped enough cash to pay for their shopping, I found that strange. That could be just how I am, not trusting them, I got my purse and all my cards stolen a few years ago and have never recovered!!!

I thought I had lost this posting, I was trying to see where you live Oma to get to the fresh fish for that price!!!! Many years ago, when Hull was a very busy fishing port, my father was a lorry driver and often got fresh fish given when he was loading, it used to seem so huge, maybe it was, maybe it was a childs eye!

Plant hope you get things sorted with your credit card.

Kept having the odd short shower today, but sun is shining now.

                  Good afternoon.

Plant that's a mystery about your card. Thank goodness you were on the ball and noticed. What a shame rain spoiled the summer gathering for you.

Dr has ordered an x ray, and appointment with the muscular-skeletal department ! At times my knee is very painful, and swollen if I have walked a lot especially steps. It locks when I turn at night sometimes which is very painful!
OH has enjoyed helping the youngsters, and seeing how talented they are.

                  Sunny here now.

Oma, Washington, that is where Brian Ferry is from isn’t it? Do I miss England? I did when I first moved here, would have given anything to go back home, but, I stuck it out, learned the language and I am now at home!

I must write about my Shibden Hall day, before I forget. I'll do it tomorrow.
I have now booked the Premier Inn at Manchester airport for next April, £32 per room. I have told DDs so hopefully they will book too before the price rises. Even the family room for DD2 with 4 of them is the same price, so a good bargain. Got to save pennies where we can on this holiday!

Holland will feel like home for you after so long Lizzie, and especially with your DSs and GDs being there. You do visit the UK though, don't you.

Plant - thank goodness you spotted the fraud when you did - so many people don't check their statements. The fraudsters can clone your card with clever tech devices - that's why a lot of people have little protective wallets for their plastic - it blocks the signal. I hope you enjoyed your afternoon despite having to be indoors.

Gem - well done to your OH for encouraging the new young talent at her golf club. The College friend who organises our Golf Club lunches started a programme for juniors at her golf club, and it was very successful, and quite a few talented girls were discovered and helped. I'm glad you finally got to see the doctor about your poorly knee. I hope they can do something to help with the pain. x

Lizzie - did you find it difficult to learn Dutch? Do you find it easy to switch between the two languages?

Enfys - we had some very localised showers today. When I left home about 9 am this morning it was beautiful - I didn't even think to take a coat. Then it was pouring with rain over the Forest, and bone dry again when I got to New Milton! I'm glad y our shoulder's feeling better. Did you enjoy your lunch out? When will you get the results of OH's scan?

Oma - is B pleased with his new phone?

After the hairdressers this morning I went into Superdrug and bought 3 or 4 new bottles of nail polish. GD2 was quite put out that I only had two bottles both similar dark pinky purple colours. So I've now got a sort of metallic lilac colour, pale pink and a silvery slightly glittery one. I've now just got to work on my manicure skills to reach her high standards!!

I went into Morrisons and got some caramel filled cookies for DIL2 - she loves them - some bananas and then I spotted packs of meaty beef bones for just over £1 - Eva gave me such a good welcome!

You will look very swish with your sparkly nails im sure GD will approve hahaha

Gem you got a good deal and as the flights were so expensive every little helps , will you drive to the airport and leave car or are you going by train ?

Been to bed but had to get up again my knees are hurting and my ankles are swollen so im not comfy , sitting with heat pack on knees its easing them

Good morning, Daisy, learning Dutch wasn't easy!!! I had a good friend when the boys were young and she helped me a lot, she couldn't speak English so I had to speak Dutch. When I am in England visiting I do find myself speaking Dutch sometimes instead of English, get strange looks from people, my family are used to it though.
