We had a hummdinger of a storm during the night.
Lots of lightning.
When we sat in the garden yesterday,we kept following the shade.
2nd visit of the week to in laws today.

Good morning, Nanto and everyone who follows later. That's a good choice for a graphic, Nanto - it's definitely summer - we also had a big storm last night. The thunder didn't last long but our bedroom was lit up with lightning for what seemed like hours.

I've finally got a 'free' day after nearly two weeks of busyness, so I'm looking forward to gradually catching up with all my GRU friends.

We had a big storm too. Thunder, lightening, lashing rain. It went on for a very long time!

Today my mum is having her toe nails cut again by the mobile foot lady. Mum prefers to have this done at our house, she will stay for tea with us. I will do her shopping today instead of tomorrow, giving me a free day tomorrow.

We are off for a walk soon before it gets too hot though the actual sun is playing hide and seek with the clouds at the moment.

Bedding nearly finished in the wash so I’ll put it out before we go.

We only had a flash of lightning and a distant rumble of thunder unless I slept through it. I stayed indoors during the afternoon yesterday, pleased with myself as I sorted out the filing which I hate but enjoyed the cooler evening outside. GD1 boyfriend has a hammock and said he was going to sleep in it outside, not sure if he did. He is in the cabin so it must have been hot in there. Wish we still had our swimming pool, Sil sold it when the children grew up. Not sure what I am going to do today, not dressed yet, I think I will visit the tip.

Hope Mum is happy today Gemini, getting old is trying.

Nanto will it be a long visit or short to In laws , how they doing in this heat ? its always a worry for the elderly .

Clover enjoy your walk , its overcast but still very warm don't walk too far remember you have to walk back again

Plant very sensible to stay indoors , they say keep your curtains closed when its hot keeps the room cooler .

We just been to Morrisons and Screw Fix and I feel drained already ,

Off to Martin's tonight for a take away and catch up , Baby Evie is home now I haven't heard how their night went yet but she's the double of her Mammy when she was born

Oma, i only intended having a couple of hours at in laws, but hubby had a walk round so had about 3 hours there.

Just had a delivery from Amazon of 50 foil plates. only wanted them 6",but couldn't get that size anywhere in town.
We have a glut of plums,so going to make plum pies tomorrow. Will bake one and freeze the others.

Nanto no Baby and Niece live other side of town I will see her at some point but she will be having lots of visitors for now , we did face time though she looks tiny

You lucky thing having all them plums , I love English plums taste like no other

Another hot night ahead I think. OH and I sat in the garden until after 8.30, enjoying the warm evening.
We got mum into the garden both before and after tea, she never gets fresh air, I think it exhausted her! Hopefully in a good way
