Afternoon after a few naff days I’m okish, when I got back from the docs on Tuesday I went to bed for the day, yesterday laid on the settee with feet above my heart as Gem said , today I managed a little walk but in flip flops , the swelling has gone down by half, doc says I’ve done too much and the heat has made my veins swell and stopped my circulation somewhat, my back has been painful, too much walking again and I have a touch of arthritis in my little finger , but lol nothing life threatening.I also have a rash on my arms and legs this came after the docs hope I havnt picked something up there 🥴
I have the twins for a few hours on Saturday my dil wants to pack they go away on Monday for a week, and it’s my eldest g/d birthday party I’m going but I shan’t stop long, it’s her birthday the following week.
At the moment I’m laid on the floor with my legs and feet up the wall , then my feet are going in some cool water , docs instructions , so won’t stay on here long it’s a funny position to write .
Enfys glad OH is doing ok and that his eye is better let’s hope you get that break you are looking forward to .
Gem hope dd3 will be ok as you know I live with my OH and know what it’s like to feel anxious , he’s not doing so well at the moment, worries about me but when I get back to my normal self I will be fine he won’t I guess .
Enjoy your lunch Daisy make the best of it as school is out next week 😱!!!!!!
Libra hope g/d will be ok they do get over these things quickly , and hope OH finds T ok , better come off here as will be overloading the chatbox

      How do!
WG I can taste those spuds! Yum. I haven’t tried Oma’s recipe yet but we have been shopping and now I have enough potatoes I can do it. Good info re. the posting of pics, thank you.
Qwerty, would a foot and leg massage help? My pal used to have this when suffering in a similar way.
Glad you are all keeping busy, always plenty to do. Off to the local garden centre, Puss is refusing all food again and they have raw frozen meat, so I’ll have a look. I will have to pass their ‘almost deadious’ plant range, and they do have some good bargains there. They just need a bit of care. Both DD1 and I can squeeze a plant or two in somewhere.😁

GM I might try the foot massage later but at the moment for some reason my shins are quite painful guess it’s the swelling

Qwerty......I've visions of you lying with your legs up the wall and a laptop on your knee....as long as you're comfortable and it's helping what the h***!

I've just had a phone consultation with a physio, very strange trying to say exactly where the pain is without the other person being able to see where you're pointing. She gave a completely different reason for the pain than the GP did. Who do you believe? Anyway, I've been sent exercises(by e-mail) and if there's no improvement I'll have to go the clinic, where the waiting time for an appointment is 4 months!!!! How do they know I'll be doing the exercises correctly, or more to the point, how will I know? I could make things a lot worse than they are at the moment.

However,on a positive note.....I've cleared the ironing, got us all booked/checked in for next week's trip and DS has sent his shopping list which I shall hopefully get tomorrow. he wants parchment paper......didn't ask what he wanted it for!!

Off or a coffee now. Enjoy the rest of the day ladies x

            WeeGranny, those potatoes look scrummy.
The GD's came earlier than planned so GD1's partner wasn't able to come.
Had a lovely day with them.Their dad came,so we were all able to sit and have a meal together.

Weather was quite a bit cooler this morning, but the sun has come out,so feeling a bit warmer.

I bet those potatoes taste wonderful WG. I hope the exercises by email help!

Qwerty, I have commented on the photo thread. Get OH to massage your feet if he will, and if you can, book a reflexology treatment - preferably a course of 3. Not only will the massage aspect of the treatment help a lot the therapist will work your lymphatic system and get everything moving around. Also when you lie with your feet up, circle your ankles a bit and wiggle your toes. Thus says Dr Gemini
I'm glad you had a nice day with GDs Nan2.

Mum was fine and happy with the gardening OH did. We will go back and do a bit more next week, but she worked hard today.

Ah we are up and running now. GRUS was down earlier.

                Light rain this morning.

                I couldn't get on here between 6.30 and 7.30.
Don't think it was at my end,i could get on other sites with no problem.

It must have been some blip Nan2. We weren't having an update, but will be during the next few days.

                  Good morning all.
Dull here and decidedly cool. I think the next nice day here is forecast to be Sunday.

I have a comittee meeting at 9.20. I avoid Friday meetings as it is my busiest day, but this was the only time the meeting room was free. Being early and only having the room for one hour I wont be late back. OH is in if GS arrives before I get back. DD said she may take him for new shoes though.
GS2 all day, GD from school, with GS in tow as it is golf for OH this afternoon.

                  Have a good Friday everyone.

EDIT - I wrote this last night, but it didn't post, so I thought better late than never!

                    Good evening one and all.

Gem - I wish we could teleport you round the country - I'd definitely line up for a reflexology treatment - it sounds wonderful.

WeeGranny - you can't beat potatoes freshly dug out of your own garden. I put some earlies in one of those bad thingies and we ate them last week - yum! I hope your get your DS's shopping done. It will be interesting to find out what he wants the parchment paper for.

Nanto - so glad you had a lovely day even though GD1's partner couldn't come.

Qwerty - I'm glad you managed to get some rest. Don't overdo things with the twins on Saturday. Do you think OH is feeling a bit low after your wonderful time at the villa? He did so well when he had those sessions with a therapist - has he got any notes from them? If so it might help to read through them and remind himself of all the positives that came out of those sessions.

Lunch was lovely - there were 7 of us, although one friend didn't stay for lunch as she wasn't very well. It was lovely to catch up and by co-incidence two of the ladies brought in some old photos from College, and we had fun looking at our 1980s hairdos!

I got back home about 3.30 and OH hadn't even had breakfast! Honestly, I was a bit cross as he hadn't even had a drink. He'd been making phone calls and doing paperwork, but it was quite warm and he's prone to kidney stones so he needs to keep his fluid intake up. I got him to drink a pint of water (slowly), gave him tea and biscuits and did a vegetable stirfry for dinner. He went out to the wood turning club monthly meeting, so hopefully he'll at least get a cup of tea there.

The man from the garage came to collect my old car today, and me snowman is finally sitting on the drive!

I've cut the lawn this evening as rain's forecast for tomorrow. We're going to DS1's and staying overnight so I don't want to come back on Saturday evening to a jungle! At least I won't have to worry about not being here to water.

Good morning everyone. Nanto I don't know why we went down - but sometimes a totally unrelated problem with a satellite can affect things.

I noticed my post from last night didn't happen, but I've restored it.

We're going up to DS1's today - hopefully back home tomorrow tea time to go out for a barbecue, but if not we'll be back on Sunday. OH is going to help DS1 to build a temporary tin shed in their garden to store things during their Big Build - I'll talk about it later!

Plant - I hope you have a safe and comfortable journey back today.

Qwerty - I hope you're feeling a bit better and still getting plenty of rest. xx

It's raining here - not great timing for us, but we do need the rain, and I'm glad I cut the lawn last night.

Clover - don't get your new hairdo wet. I'm actually quite pleased to see the rain, everywhere was looking very dry around here.
