Gem, did the late evening make you sleep well.

Safe journey for Plant, who will be on her way now.

Update - doc gave DH antibiotic cream for his eye, it is conjunctivitis, should clear up now. Had a very pleasant afternoon, Dexter in his paddling pool, us snoozing on and off, a bit of gentle dead heading but basically just chilling 🌞. It’s turned very warm again so we are indoors waiting for Dexter’s mum (DD).

A hot, sunny day here. I’ve shampooed the bedroom carpet, just moving the bed from one side to the other.
My new duvet covers arrived. I think Oma asked what colour they are. Well they are grey and ochre/. yellow as the carpet is an ochre, beige colour and the curtains also are soft yellow.

Enfys I hope OH got something to ease his eye at the doctors.

Quiche is looking okay,so hope it tastes the same.

My doorbell had decided to go silly on me with a horrible buzzzing. I’ve googled the problem and as far as I can understand and try, nothing seems to sort it out I’ve changed all batteries and even taken apart the bell push with a teeny, tiny screwdriver but no joy.I’ll probably have to get a new one

I hope your day is going well and you enjoy your evening.

Enfys - I hope the drops/cream for OH's eye work quickly and clear up the conjunctivitis. Glad you had a good afternoon.

Clover - your colour scheme sounds very calming and restful. Are you pleased with the finished effect? How was the quiche. I sympathise over your doorbell - ours often seems to develop a life of its own, even with brand new batteries in!

It's definitely the last week of the school term and year. GD2 came home really tired tonight and didn't want to do anything except sit in front of the tv. GD1 is already worrying about September!

Enfys Conjunctivitis is itchy and sore , poor P as though he hasn't enough to cope with

Clover I like the colour scheme it goes well together , my friend just bought bedding from Next in that colour its a Grey background with a yellowy/gold flower on , it looks lovely and fresh

Daisy I think they all getting tired now , GS2 did two days at comp last week and said he was looking forward to going , maybe nearing the time he might change his mind ,
Didn't have that worry with GS1 as he had been going two days a week from the age of 9 for advanced Maths & English, so he already had lots of friends there and knew the teachers

B made German Potato Bread tonight , just had a cup of tea and a slice warm from the oven with butter , it was so light and fluffy , you wouldn't think bread with potato in could be so light

              Evening All!
I have been ‘meeting myself coming backwards’ busy lately so I have a lot of catching up to do here now the pressure is off. I hope you have all been keeping well.
My sewing machines have gone for a service, I tell you they nearly had steam coming from them, they have worked so hard. (Doesn’t stop me from buying more fabric though 😆)
Off to catch up, see you later...
Oma, what is German potato bread? Sounds like my idea of heaven. 😋

I hope Plant has arrived safely and is settled into her hotel.
Next time you go AWOL Grauntie we know what to do, come round and confiscate your sewing machine
Daisy my GS1 is also worrying about September, about going into year 2. I reminded DD that he worried about going from reception to year 1 and all was well.
I'm on my way to bed as it was a late night last night, and we were woken by the builders a couple of doors down at 7.30am.

                  Night everyone

Oma ' B's German potato bread sounds delicious and unusual. Will he share his recipe?

Grauntie - I hope your sewing machines enjoy their rest and recuperation after all that hard work. What's your next project?

Gem - GD1 has gone through the infants school and Years 3 and 4 with the same group, and next year she will be separated from some of them. This is no bad thing for various reasons, but she doesn't quite see it that way as yet. She's a worrier, too. I hope your GS1 remembers that moving from R to Year 1 was fine, and going up to Year 2 should be good as well. I hope you catch up on your sleep tonight.

Oma - I'm sure GS2 will love going up to 'big school'. I think most children are ready for the changes the secondary school will bring.

                      No sun yet,but its bright.

Clover, loving the sound of the colour scheme.

Oma, the German bread sounds scrummy.

No plans for me to go out,so going to get showered then onward and upwards.

Morning ladies a nice bright morning ,

Nanto a nice change for you being able to take your time having your shower at your own pace , make the most of it ,
When I don't need to rush I take longer in the shower , most mornings its jump in jump out

Daisy I will get the recipe and put it on it really is worth a try , I had a slice toasted this morning very nice

Gem did you sleep well ?

How are we all this morning ? hope P is feeling better today Enfys ,

We off to my Brothers this morning then down the road to his Mams , having everyone living so close to each other its easier to visit more than one at a time .

I have just filled my washer with Soda crystals and put on a 90 wash to give it a good clean .

When we get back I want to give the porch posts a quick sand down and treat the wood knots so I can paint them tomorrow while we have good weather .
The knots in the wood ooze a resin that's sticky and you cant paint over it so has to be scraped off and treated , its a pain in the bum

Have a good day ladies xxx

Another lovely sunny morning. Thank you Oma, Ps eye is looking much better this morning.

Supermarket shop later, then no other plans. Might pop out to the garden centre for coffee and a browse, DH likes to get out as much as he can whilst he’s feeling ok.

I am so pleased with my pots and hanging baskets this year. All the plants were from B & Q, very cheap......total cost £30....and they look amazing. I stuck with mainly geraniums, petunias and lobelia this year, lovely.

                          Edited....just realised there’s a garden thread...oops 😳

Have a lovely day everyone x

                            Good moaning each.
I have showered and dressed early as the window cleaner is coming. He is late!
Thanks for the recipe Oma. Salivating at the thought.
Daisy, I have to make more fold-up shopping bags as I have orders! My friend has brought more fabric sample books so it’s best stitch forward. At least I can cut out ready for sewing while I wait for my machines to return.
Haircut today, I’m almost tripping over it.
Enfys, glad P’s eye is improving quickly.
                            Have a sooper day ladies.
Plant, if you are looking in, I hope you are enjoying your hols.

Good morning ladies, and thank you for the pretty graphic Nan2.

Oma I have slept quite well the last couple of nights than you, unlike the nights when I am reading chapter after chapter during the night as I cant sleep!
Dont get too hot sanding Oma!
Your plants sound lovely Enfys. Summer garden colour is lovely and something we need to make the most of!
Friendships are so important at that ages aren't they Daisy? A shake up of classes at that stage would I imagine be a worry, but hopefully all will be fine come September.
Plant, I hope you have a good day.
Grauntie, I am laughing at the image of you tripping over your Rapunzel Like hair!

GS1 from school today, we may go to the park.
I have online orders to collect from PetsatHome and M&S, and may do a little Aldi shop while I am out. I may also sit in the garden a bit (I should be tackling the holiday ironing )

                              Have a good day everyone.

Morning ladies a quick call as off to docs, my feet and ankles were a little swollen before I went but I have come back with balloons, did so much walking in such heat , I wanted my dd to enjoy herself so kept quiet but she did notice I was walking with a bit of a tilt to one side, as my back was in pain, she told me I was wheezing a lot although I hadn’t noticed , so off to docs, a food shop and washing to hang out, but we’ve had a lovely girlie time put the world to rights , will be back soon
