Back on line now, it is very irritating when it goes off. I get my connection through my family next door so have to rely on them to sort it out and they were out most of the day. Watched the men's tennis final, very exciting. Now I have a connection I must go and check my games. Grauntie will be waiting for me to have my turn on Word.

All packed but I haven't tried to close the case yet. So many things to take when one gets older, such as tablets etc.

So pleased you had an enjoyable time with your mother Gemini, so much nicer when you can have a pleasant time with her.

Good evening all. It’s been a very emotional week here since DS’ visit. One minute I’m up and then I’m right back down, so trying to keep busy. I’ve sorted out loads of paperwork, th filing cabinet now has an almost empty drawer and all the drawers in the bedroom have had a good going over too. A big bag for the charity shop waiting to be delivered.

ive been waiting to cut the grass but it’s been so hot here, so I’ve just done it as it’s a bit cooler now. Did all the edges too, so this is Definately th best time of the day to garden. We have someone coming to do all th hedges next month, and he is going to spend all day here and do as much as he can with all the overgrown and untidy areas. Then hopefully I can keep it in check.

P is feeling ok, but this new chemo is beginning to kick in and he feels tired today. He also has a very sore eye, looks like conjunctivitis so needs to see the Doc asap, will try and get him in tomorrow. If it’s not one thing, it’s another. Otherwise, all goes on as usual and we are keeping our fingers crossed that DH will be well enough for our little holiday at the end of August.

I must go and read all your news, hope all is well with everyone.

Enfys - you're doing really well to keep the lawn under control this weather. I'm certainly struggling with ours. I do hope P's tiredness wears off - it must be very frustrating for him and upsetting for you. No wonder your emotions have been up and down after the lovely time you had with the family. Sending hugs. xxx

Oma - I'm sure you had a great time with the two younger GCs - and I bet they loved it too. I'd have loved to see you doing your gymnastic exercises! Isn't it lovely when they get good school reports! Both GDs have just had theirs and they were really good, although I had to smile at GD2's teacher's comments about how GD likes to share home and school news. I'm sure it was code for 'this girls is a total chatterbox and never stops talking'!!

Plant - I sympathise over your internet connection, but glad you're back online now. Have you got an early start tomorrow?

So sorry Enfys that P is feeling the effect of the latest chemo, I hope the doctor can clear up his eye infection.

                  Good morning all.

Nan2, I hope your OH is right about the lack of rain!
                  Plant, safe and happy travels.
Enfys, It's natural to feel unsettled and down after a family visit especially with all that is going on. I hope this chemo isn't too hard on your OH and his conjunctivitis soon clears up.
I'm glad the GC came Oma. I know how you miss them. Well done on their reports

Work for me late this afternoon ( I work one hour a month now ) The rest of the day is as yet unspoken for.

Have a good day and week everyone.

Enfys I know how you are feeling . When your OH is feeling so poorly and there is nothing you can do to help makes your emotions go up and down . Hope his eye feels better today xx

Gem did you enjoy the show ? Was it cold ?

Nanto I have my washing out too it's forecast brilliant sunshine all day . It's always a worry when you leave it out when your not at home isn't it . Means if I rains you have to put it back on a rinse and start again 😕

Have a good day ladies xxx

Oma we enjoyed the film. I wouldn't rave about it as some of those who had seen it before do,and certainly didn't need my tissues as they predicted. Sad, but not crying sad, in my opinion. Maybe the cold had numbed my senses
You are given wi fi head sets, volume controllable and comfortable. This mean hotel guests and passers by are not disturbed (and can't listen for free!)
There were 10 of us all together. The film was due to start at 9.30, at dusk. We got there at 7 ish, chose our spot and got food and drink from the bars set up in the grounds. We were allowed to use the look in the very posh hotel (it is the big one right next to the station, for anyone who knows York) Despite all taking plenty of warm clothes and blankets we got cold after dark! It was 20 past midnight when I got home
I love an open air production especially with a group, so it was worth the cold. part was though there was an fireworks display somewhere in York, so we got to enjoy those in the night sky too for a while

                        Good morning.

Plant have a lovely little holiday. I’m envious

Gem,something a bit different for you last night.

Enfys I can only imagine how you are feeling. It’s hard enough for me saying goodbye to my family but at least they are in the same country ,plus of course your anxiety over OH. I really hope he doesn’t feel too poorly this time. So hard for you.Sending hugs.

Oma you’ll have to get practising your cartwheels. It’s lovely to have fun time with the GC. Congratulations on their good reports also to any other grannies whose GC have worked hard at school this year.

Nano I hope all is well at your in-laws.My washing is also out.I hate having to decide whether to chance the weather if I’m going out.I always seem to get it wrong and regret my decision either way

Off to make some pastry to make a quiche later.

                        Have a good day ladies

Good morning everyone. It's quite sunny here, but definitely a lot cooler with a sneaky little breeze.

Plant - hopefully you are now on your way north. Safe journey, and have a lovely time.

Gem - it sounds like an interesting night last night. I bet you slept well though with all that late night fresh air. Have a relaxing day today - breakfast in the garden is a good start.

Enfys - I hope P is feeling a bit better today and his eye is improving. Sending hugs. xx

Clover - I haven't made a quiche for ages - can I pop round for a slice, please? Has the paint dried ok - I hope you haven't got any touching up to do.

I cooked quite a large piece of gammon yesterday, so that's lunch sorted for today as well. I've been and collected Cooper, who gave my new car a good sniffing (I think the previous owners must have had a dog as well), but then he sat down quietly and was a very good boy. GD2 has now been promoted from a child seat in the car to a booster seat, so she's feeling very grown up!

Good morning. Another lovely morning here. Washing on the line, I’ve done a bit more tidying up in the garden and P has gone to docs about his eye. Just been sitting in the garden with a coffee watching all the bees in the lavender, very relaxing and smells gorgeous. I’ve taken so many cuttings from a couple of plants, such a good value plant to have in the garden. So pleased I cut the grass last night, it smelt lovely this morning when I first opened the patio doors.

A Dexter day today, in this heat he spends most of his time flat out on the kitchen floor in front of the back door, so no chore having him here. Clover, well done on getting the painting done and yummy quiche. Pity we’re not nearer, I’d Definately pop in for a slice 🙂. Have a good day everyone, Plant, enjoy your trip.

Enfys - your lavender is doing well - mine's virtually finished already. I should have taken cuttings too.

I do hope the doctor can give P something for his poorly eye.
