Morning ladies a bit early for some but Iโve been up since 5am couldnโt sleep.
Well Iโve seen everything now Oma a dog pool itโs better than the one the twins have , he is a cutie though ๐
Went to an impromptu bbq yesterday which was unexpected at Dd yesterday a lot to catch up on with eldest g/d she seems so grown up these days .
Plant how is the eye this morning it sounds like itโs getting you down, Iโve had very itchy dry eyes whilst Iโve been away so Iโm going to try some of that spray stuff for the eye but itโs expensive !
It feels warmer this morning than it did yesterday at this time but it says itโs going to be cooler so not sure unlike Spanish weather English stuff is much less reliable ๐ฆ
Ham must be popular at the moment Iโve bought a joint to have with the dreaded salad bought some sun dried tomatoes and new potatoes to go with it and some sourdough crusty bread , think i will manage it, strawberries and cream for afters god help my reflux !
Thank you all for my welcome back , much appreciated .
Enjoy your Sunday one and all ๐ฅต

Good morning. Enjoying a cup of tea in bed before we start packing to come home โน๏ธ. Itโs been a wonderful break, the weather has been glorious, a bit too warm at night but luckily the hotel proved fans in the rooms so thatโs been going all night. Weโve had lovely food, fantastic service and taken things easy. Walking along the seafront every evening after dinner, strolling down to the little down for ice cream or coffee, really lovely. Sidmouth is a really nice little town, lots of Victorian architecture and history, beautiful gardens, itโs almost like going back to,the โ50โs, very pleasant. Back to normality now and our DSโ visit next week. Trying hard not to think about anything else at the moment.
Hope everyone is doing well, enjoying the sunshine. Qwerty, must be strange to be home again after your Spanish break, your are going to be busy. Take care you donโt overdo it.
Have a good day everyone ๐

Good morning from sunny Majorca ๐
I hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather at home (set to remain until after we get back, if forecasts are to be believed ๐)
Our cat sitter bought some summer clothes from the local charity shop as she hadn't packed for the sudden hot weather! She sent us a photo of our greenhouse, covered in sheets to protect the tomatoes. OH did the same last year. Catsitter.is in her late 70's and not tall. I don't know how she did it ๐ฒ

Hi everyone, what a thoughtful lady Gemini, it certainly would have cooked your tomatoes yesterday. Nothing on television so I sat in sunlounge until quite late with my audible book.
Must seem strange Qwerty, shopping not the same here, none of those lovely fruits and salads, my mouth is watering. what about coming to Birmingham and telling us all about this villa.
How much time do you plan to spend out in Spain?
Enfys so pleased you have had a lovely break, I have a picture I bought of Sidmouth when we visited there. Now you can look forward to your family coming to the UK.
I think I will take my second cuppa into the garden Nanto. I do hope in-laws keep well whilst your family are away.
Brick still with me this morning, not sure how it will be as it is still all smeary from the antibiotic cream. Sun is beckoning me to open the french window and take my tea outside.
Oh I nearly forgot to mention. We had a police helicopter circling for ages over the woods we back onto and there were a couple of police cars in the lay-by. At least I wasn't here on my own, GD's boyfriend was in the cabin and he is a big bloke. Years ago they found weapons hidden in the woods and we had a policeman outside our woods gate all day and night. The terrorists were arrested in a house in High Wycombe.
Have a lovely day everyone, enjoy the sunshine, hope it lasts for Wimbledon.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good morning one and all.
Nanto - fingers crossed your in-laws are ok this week. It's always a bit worrying when you know there's no back-up. xx
Qwerty - my OH has used that spry on stuff since he had cataract surgery years ago. He finds it very good - but it is expensive. I just use the ordinary Optrex for dry eyes morning and night and that works well, too, and I don't mind putting drops into my eyes. I love sun dried tomatoes, and I'm really pleased you've enoyed the amazing salads in Spain.
Enfys - I'm so glad you've had such a lovely time in Sidmouth - it is very pretty. Safe journey home. When does your DS and family arrive? xx
Gem - your cat sitter is lovely to take such are of your tomatoes as well. I had to cover my melon plants yesterday as they were wilting in the heat.
Libra - have you done your packing yet for your trip back this way?
Plant - your eye must be driving you mad at the moment. I hope it's soon better. How scary with all that police activity. I'm glad you weren't on your own. We had an incident some years ago with major police activity - helicopters, search lights - the lot! We found out what had happened. A burglar trying to get into a large house a couple of roads away from us had triggered the house alarm. Panicked, he ran down the garden, scaled a huge fence and landed in the garden of a national figure who has 24/7 police protection. Talk about jumping from the frying pan into the fire!
It's much cooler here today - cloudy too. I hope I can get the washing dried - it's piled up this week with being so busy. OH wanted us to go and look at another car today, but the M27 is completely closed this week-end and I can imagine the surrounding roads will be chock-a-block. The rain and sun has brought the weeds on a treat, so I need to tackle those as well.
Have a good day, ladies.
