We are taking it easy at DD’s.We enjoyed “The Little Mermaid”.As well as GD co-directing,DD was in charge of the costumes team which involved a lot of outfits,mermaids,fish,seagulls etc.

Have been to our dear neighbour's funeral today and just home after the wake. Very simple Humanist service, though the celebrant talked rather too quickly and it felt as if she wanted it to be all over quickly. However, lovely celebration of neighbour's life and lovely wake. Now don't feel like doing anything other than sleep! Not used to drinking in the middle of the day!

Very sticky and muggy here, wish it would be either one thing or the other.

Well, we know where next year's meet up will be......Qwerty, have you enough beds for us all ? Great news btw!

Late hello from me very humid here,storms expected and then a heatwave apparently 🤔 won't hold my breath. Qwerty great news about the villa, Daisy hope you had a good time away. Been a busy couple of days in the garden here. 1 more week until my feet are on Dorset soil, excited a tad.

Just have to pop to the shops today then might get in the garden. My eye is very painful atm, I have made an appt. to see the doctor on Friday, not sure what he can do. It seems to have suddenly got worse. I am going to buy an eye bath today and see if that helps, I found bowling very difficult yesterday. I will pop back later

First and foremost I really must apologise for this horrible weather we are having this morning . It’s all mine and OH’s fault, we made plans to get the bistro set out of the shed today , clean it and put it on the patio so that we could sit outside to eat our lunch and it appears we have upset the sunny weather gods !


Qwerty I have noticed your good news, congratulations on buying the villa, now tell us , when do we need to start packing for our on mass visit 😉

Oh by the way, can I ask, does anyone else find sleeping with new pillows hard to get used to? I brought new ones for our bed, along with new duvet and covers but the pillows are driving me mad. As you know I find getting to sleep and actually staying asleep till morning hard enough but these flipping things are only adding to the problem!

Morning ladies , dull drizzle but so stuffy ,
Cleaned bedrooms and hoovered this morning and did a white load of washing and dried in tumble ,
B is at the moment fixing a glass shelf I have on kitchen wall its slopping downwards these walls are so thin even plasterboard fixing eventually work loose

Mimi GS1 is fine now he did sleep for couple hours and that's very unusual for him but to be honest as I said yesterday he just wanted a day off like all teenagers he doesn't go to bed till late and it caught up with him .

I know what you mean about new pillows and a new Duvet drives me mad till it wears in they seem so unmanageable don't they .
Also yes you are to blame for weather fancy thinking about getting Bistro set out , don't you know that's like having your windows cleaned , its a secret signal to the rain gods to open the flood gates hahaha

Good morning from a very wet south coast. Poured with rain all night but still quite humid.

Thank you Oma, I slept surprisingly well, we both did. We have booked a couple of nights away at a lovely hotel in Sdmouth which is a little town in Devon. It’s not far but a very pretty area. The hotel is right on the sea front and we will just chill out and relax. There is a lovely spa and pool and I’ll will,enjoy that, might treat myself to a massage.

I am going to our WI knitting group this morning. I really didn’t know whether to go or not but DH persuaded me so I’m picking my friend up then her hubby will pick P up later and then we’ll go out to lunch. Trying to keep occupied which helps.

Good morning from a humid but very cloudy Devon, I am hoping the rain goes hold off as I am planning on moving around a few plants. Hubs has gone into town to collect my prescription and pop into Morrisons, so nothing exciting happening here today. I only collect M twice a week now,as Tuesdays is a horse riding day and Thursday is swimming.
Glad the holiday is going well Gem and you and OH are having a good time.
Plant I hope you get your eye sorted sounds sore.
Enfys pleased you managed to sleep and a few days in Devon will do you good I'm sure,I will do the sun dance for you.
Oma GS sounds like M was a few weeks ago, she was sent home from school supposedly ill just very ,very tired from too many late nights 😏
Mimi I know what you mean about new bedding takes time for all the puffiness to settle,when I put new bedding on when we moved here it felt like I was sleeping with my head far to high.
Clover hope your DD finds some pots she likes at the garden centre.
Daisy I suppose it's back to the old routine for you.
Shiloh ran into the woods yesterday and found something vile to roll in,boy he stank. Brian washed him down outside, must have been either cow or foxes poo 😟 whatever it was foul. Typical mad spaniel if there's muck or water he will locate iThank goodness only 1 does this vile thing. I am going to treat myself to home made scone with Devon clotted cream and strawberries for my lunch. Whatever your doing have a good day all.

No rain at the moment, but we had a downpour in the early hours.

Usual Tuesday, Yoga and reading. You can tell it's getting near the end of term as they were all hard work!

Not sure what to do with the rest of the day......feel a bit unsettled for some reason. Blame it on the weather!

Enfys, I like Sidmouth, it has a lovely prom and some good ice cream shops for you to enjoy while you're sitting watching the world go by!
