    Evening each.
It’s been a funny old day, OH has gone on an overnight golf jolly. He left at 8 ish this morning and at 9am I spied his medication (injecting diabetic) on the table. Thank goodness for mobiles! I drove to meet him to hand it over, so I had a rather late breakfast. It has thrown it down here this afternoon so not much achieved outdoors. Good on the box tonight and I can watch what I choose and when.😁
    Have a pleasant evening All.

I wish Qwerty would send some of the warmth here. Quite cool,so we have the heating on.
Nice to Qwety and OH are enjoyinf their time in Spain.

Had a very light shower this morning, not enough to call ought.
GM, its good you spotted OH's medication.

Enjoy what is left of the evening ladies.

        Qwerty, hola
        Grauntie saves the day!

Lovely day for us, we love YWP, and the weather was good. 2 brief sprinklings of light, rain apart from that warm and sunny. Almost like June
Tomorrow however when I planned to go to Whitby, is forecast dismal with rain most of the day

Enfys - no wonder you're feeling a bit washed out. Since your holiday, your GD has gone back to Australia, P has been feeling rather poorly, the weather has been veering from high summer to mid winter, and no doubt you also worried about whether your GS would be offered a permanent job. You've put petrol in the car for the first time for years and no doubt done a whole load of other things. And then a sleepless night because of b****y fireworks. You have every right to be feeling tired. Take it easy, enjoy the sun when it appears and give yourself chance to recharge the batteries. Sending a big hug. xx

Plant - pleased to hear GD and her boyfriend are settling in. How lovely that GGS enjoys his sleepovers. I hope the house completion goes through smoothly.

Nanto - good to hear MIL is feeling better, even if she is complaining.

Qwerty - beunos tardes! I'm glad you're getting better weather than us - yes, honestly. I'm not even the tiniest, teeniest bit jealous!! Much!

Grauntie - what a good job you spotted OH's insulin relatively soon. I hope he was suitable grateful! It's nice to be in control of the control sometimes, isn't it!

Gem - I'm sure your day out has done you good. It went like rain here just before lunch but then brightened and warmed up nicely. After OH got home we sat in the garden with a glass of wine and it was lovely ()the wine and the evening). I do hope the forecast is wrong for you for tomorrow.

Lovely morning at the moment, but i've just seen the local forecast, and she said heavy rain over the next 3 days.

Dinner is prepared. Off to in laws later.
            Have a good day everyone.

Morning ladies at the moment the sun is out and I enjoyed my morning cuppa outside with no interruptions. The forecast for the week ahead is pretty abysmal, we need some of Qwertys sunshine.
Qwerty glad your really enjoying your holiday, not jealous of your gorgeous weather, well ok just a tad. 😁 Usual routine here today apart from I have a shrub to plant out the front. There is a gap that needs filling.
Enfys hope you get a decent night's sleep, try and get a Granny nap when you can.
Well done Grauntie for saving the day, men eh. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone from me. It's dry at the moment but I think rain's on the way. Glad I managed to get the lawn cut yesterday.

OH has a hospital appointment this afternoon - he's seeing the consultant about his eye. Please keep your fingers crossed that the treatment's starting to work this time. See you all later.

                  Good moaning each.
Absolutely histling down here and chilly too. I couldn’t put my plants in yesterday because the ground was too dry, today it’s too wet (for me, not the ground). Still, my sewing machine beckons...
Enfys, any chance you could go for a massage? Glad to hear P is feeling better now. Good luck to OH with his eye appointment Daisy, hope it goes well.
Qwerty, I am a golf widow. It’s quite marvellous. 😁 You could always join in too, (I am not sporty in the slightest.) LG, glad you got enough sun to sit out with tea, that would make me very happy. Nanto2 you are so organised. When I was a child and asked what was for dinner I was told ‘bread and pull it’ which pleased me because I thought we were having chicken as we kept Pullets. 🙄
Have an industrious day ladies, never mind the weather, keep smiling.😁😁

Good morning everyone, and thank you Daisy for my Birthday Banner

Dinner prepared before 7 am Nan2, impressive!
Libra the forecast here for most of this week is terrible too.
Everything crossed here for your OH Daisy

I began the day with opening cards and presents in bed over morning tea. I had a 10 am appointment for my summer gel toes nails. They look lovely now!
We had planned a day in Whitby, getting back for DD2 to come round after school. Quite a lot of rain is forecast, and my knee is swollen after my day out yesterday so all things considered we have put Whitby on hold. We are off to Betty's for lunch instead! DD2 and GC will be here after school.
OH and I are having an Indian takeaway tonight, in front of the telly

                      Have a good day everyone.

It was fine this morning, but raining this afternoon.
Oma, nothing special for dinner. Mashed potatoes with swede, sausages, garden peas and fried onion. Hubby asked for the onion.
                        And gravy.

That dinner sounds lovely to me Nanto, I love swede.

Hasn't stopped raining all day here, played bowls this afternoon and should be going to Embroidery talk tonight but my friend and I have decided it is not of interest to us and in view of the weather we will give it a miss this month. Heating on so will be happy to stay indoors.

Grauntie, hope you had a lovely time with your sewing machine.

Gemini, it sounds like you are having a lovely day, enjoy the curry by the fire.

Daisy, I hope there is some good news from your OH's check up.

Loving the pics of your garden Libra, what a gorgeous peony.

P***** down all day and cold with it ! Came in from Art where there was no heating and OH put on the heating to warm me up. Two coffees and a seat by the radiator and I'm feeling almost human again. Forecast for the rest of the week isn't much better either. DS is basking in 30 degrees ( That's centigrade not Fahrenheit!)!

Keep warm everyone........Summer MUST be on its way!

The day fulfilled its promise - cold, showery, dark and downright miserable! Our heating's on as well!

Gem - you might have postponed your trip to Whitby, but you're still having a lovely day (well, I think it sounds lovely). Enjoy your Indian tonight. As Libra says, we need some of Qwerty's and Wee Granny's DS's sunshine.

Wee Granny - what is your art project at the moment? Any more amazing donkeys?

Nanto - your dinner sounds perfect for this weather.

Oma - "toaster" is a rude word in our house. A couple of years ago we got a 4 slice Russell Hobbs toaster. OH, who likes his toast well done, took it back because it didn't toast properly on one side of the bread. He took the second one back, and the third. On the 4th attempt we decided to live with it!! I hope you have better luck.

I'll write about OH's hospital trip today in the Loved Ones' Health thread.

What a day. Sunshine this morning and we went to the garden centre, had a little walk around and a coffee. Then just as we were leaving the heavens opened and it hasn’t stopped all day.

DH did very well and hasn’t nodded off today at all, so we are optimistic he is really on the mend.

I spemt end the afternoon in the conservatory, listening to the rain and knitting.......feeling relaxed.
