Hope the new plaster will be more comfortable for S. Sunshine here, the grey weather has been getting me down too.
Food shopping for me today, although I did pick up a few pieces from M&S yesterday when I was picking up a parcel (replacing some of my underwear). I am really missing my GD1, of course I am pleased that she is happy with her boyfriend. Might see her in Waitrose (where she works) when I go shopping today. They are resurfacing some of the roads out of the village (which I am pleased about) but not sure which one is shut this week. People are complaining but they grumble about the potholes.

Qwerty.......there are ditches all over the village because we are in the Fens so lots of drainage needed! This ditch can be traced back right down the road to the nearest 'big' ditch. Most of it has been covered over when new houses were built and our ditch was the last bit before it goes into a larger one( which isn't our land thankfully!) at the bottom of our garden. Topsoil being laid today. One load gone and waiting for the next to arrive. The birds are loving all the disturbed areas on the lawn finding worms etc.
Bet S will be pleased to have a lighter cast on, Gem!
The sky is a strange colour today.......blue!
Off to do some shopping. Enjoy whatever you're up to today ladies!x
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Afternoon all
Gem S will be much more comfortable I would think with lighter cast , hope so anyway
Nanto lovely graphic as usual made me almost feel warmer , it was raining this morning but not as cold but grey roof again
Did my food shop, spent £11 in the greengrocers , £20 in the butchers, and £6.50 in Tesco result I think 😀
Qwerty, he is my FB friend and I am on FB several times a day so see what he puts on
I'm sure you will be missing your GD Plant.
My mum however phoned today to tell me I must put DD3 off visiting her tomorrow as she has a sore throat and wont want to entertain tomorrow. It didn't sound as all sore and mum is the queen of transparent excuses. Shr didn't sound disappointed more relieved to have got out of something! She has made so much of missing her this last year too! A bit hurtful for DD3, but we are used to mums odd ways. I can only imagine it is because DD was going at 11am, and that time to mum is like me having a visitor at 6 or 7 am. I advised DD to make it afternoon when she does go.
They are coming here for tea on Monday, and we won't put them off!
OH has a nice blue cast now (to please GD and GS1 - orange was the choice of GS2!)
The skin was looking quite sore but not broken in areas, so they said she had done the right thing not to leave it any longer. It was bothering her, and our nurse friend thought it wasn't a good idea to leave it, so I think OH took her advice in the end (I wanted her to have it changed last Wednesday as soon as she was allowed!)
GS was a good boy both at the hospital and all day here. He seems to have really got the toilet stuff sorted out now.

What can you do Gemini, if your mother decides she doesn't want to do something. Why didn't she suggest another day and time. Pleased to hear GS2 has mastered the toilet stuff. I suppose they will be starting off with my GGS soon, the summer is the best time.
Very pleased they have changed S's cast, my casts were always purple.

Gem - your mum isn't going to change her ways! I do hope your DD3 isn't hurt - I'm sure it's not personal to her. I'm so glad S has got a lighter cast - hope it will be more comfortable for her. Well done to GS2 - he's getting such a big boy.
WG - we've had that strange sky as well. It's even been fairly warm at times. It's such a shock!!
Plant - you and your GD1 did such a lot together, no wonder you miss her, but it's lovely she's enjoying life and seems to have met a very nice young man.
I've spent the day organising for DIL2's birthday barbecue tomorrow, tidied the garden, swept the patio and we got the chairs, table and parasol out. OH spent a long time cleaning the barbecue, and managed to block the utility room sink in the process.
