Thanks for your nice welcome. I'm going to try to look in at the chat daily. There's too much to remember otherwise.πŸ˜‰

Hoping to pop in to see both DDs & GC tomoro. Oldest DD said they went to see her friend's boy yesterday. Her oldest boy (my GS) was concerned about his friend as he's just had open heart surgery. 2 days on HDU now he's on the ward. This is in Leeds. These sick children are amazing.

Sun is shining, but still a bit nippy.

Nana, our niece has had open heart surgery twice. First time was at Killingbeck.
When Killingbeck closed, she had it done at Leeds Genneral Infirmary.
Hope your GS friend makes a good recovery.

Enjoy your bank holiday monday girls.
It will be just like a normal day for us.
      Off to in laws later.

Good morning. Lovely sunny day so far, nothing much planned but might get out into the garden later.

Nana, our GS had open heart surgery when he was much younger, it went amazingly well and he’s now a strapping 20 year old, 6 footer. Best wishes to your GS’ friend for a speedy recovery.

DGD’s flight was delayed by 3 hours πŸ˜•, not heard anything this morning so hope she finally took off OK.

Have a good day everyone 🌞

Good morning Nan2, Enfys and everyone.

Kids are amazing aren't they Nana? I hope that boy does really well.
You will be glad when you hear your GD has landed Enfys.
I hope the Oma's are having a whale of a time on the high seas!

Today would be an ordinary day for us too Nan2 - but we are seeing DD3 and SIL again for the first time since we said goodbye in October! The rest of the family last saw them in June, so it is going to be a happy and emotional day for all I am making a big pasta salad as my contribution, and have bought raspberry and a chocolate trifle!

Have a good day whatever it holds.

Good morning everyone. It's sunny but chilly here, but I'm determined to get out in the garden or greenhouse today. Nothing else is planned, like Nanto - it's just an ordinary day.

Nana - how kind of your GS to want to make sure his friend was ok in hospital. Children really are amazing coping with major surgery like that.

Enfys - poor GD. Waiting like that is no fun at all, especially with a long journey ahead of her. I hope she is ok for any connecting flights.

Gem - It's today at last! Have a wonderful welcome home party for your DDS and SIL.

Thanks Daisy, the whole family is a bit giddy!!!

I have never driven to my ex OH's house before, in a small town about 45 minutes away involving some winding country roads. My OH has always driven us. I'm glad it is light later now so I can come back before dark. With my sanav and OH's assistance I'm sure we will get there!

Have a really smashing time Gemini at your family party, good luck with the driving, I am sure you will be fine.

Dull here and I expect cold, not dressed yet. Day on my own today, the family have gone to London to see GD2 and are dropping GS2 and his girlfriend off somewhere in London. I am planning to go to JL later to look at Steam Cleaners as mine has packed up. I might also look at dresses, as I have been invited to a 40th Wedding Anniversary next month and fancy buying a dress. GS1 and his wife are hoping to find out the sex of their expected baby tomorrow.

Good morning . Its not so cold here at the moment but its still coat and scarf weather.

Hope you are all having a lovely Mat day bank holiday although bank holidays don't mean any thing to us now that we both aren't working .

We don't have anything planned for today , tomorrow I have to go to town and Wednesday OH has to go to Birmingham hospital .

                  Have a good day everyone

Nanto - I hope someone in our family looks after OH and me as well as you care for your in-laws when we're in our 90s.

Mimi - I think when you're retired Bank Holidays are more likely to be chances to get together with family or friends who are still wage slaves. Apart from that, we just want to stay off the roads and tourist hot spots at Bank holidays. I hope OH's hospital appointment goes well. Is it a difficult journey for you?

Plant - just having a day to yourself is nice sometimes. If you go shopping I hope you find a nice dress for the party.

Gem - I'm sure the driving won't be any problem, and you'll be so excited you won't even notice the journey. xx

Tried on 2 dresses, liked them on the rail but hated them on me. JL was heaving, lots of people eating lunch. Called at Waitrose where GD works and she said they had been very busy. Then called at M&S Food Hall to pick up parcel of bras I had ordered. Does anyone else have problems buying a bra?

Bravissimo is the place to go Plantaholic they will measure you properly and help fit you with something suitable. I have used them for years.

Avo - I used to have their catalogue and they had lovely bras, but at that time they only did larger sizes, and I was quite thin at the time. I'm sure it's worth me having another look now though!

I've been measured at M&S, John Lewis and by my Sister-in-law who is a trained bra fitter - SIL was close but wanted me to wear a size that I felt was too tight round the band. Plant - I've worked out what cut/style of bra works best for me, rather than worrying too much about the size as they seem to vary.

We had a lovely time today. So good to see DD and SIL and get lots of cuddles from DD! They are still quite jetlagged, if will take a while. We hope to see them again later this week.

Gem - you can sleep soundly tonight, knowing your baby and her OH are back safe and sound in the UK. I look forward to hearing all about it. xxx
