Good morning all. it talks of the end of the lovely weather today

Plant sorry to hear that you had a painful tooth extraction yesterday . Hope your gum feels better this morning

Nan2 I've had a colonoscopy and its not the best way to spend the day, its so uncomfortable with all that wind that is 'piped' into your nether regions I can tell you !

OH has had to go to town to purchase a special type of screwdriver that is required to get the old screws off the freezer door so that he can put the new handle on when it arrives

    Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi - at least you will be able to fix the new freezer handle when it arrives! I hope he doesn't come home with a whole new box of tools, just in case!

Afternoon ladies , so many poorly folk, Oma you seem to have had one thing after another , hope this is a sign that you will be so well on your cruise.
Gem everyone is off colour in your household including the cats 🐈 Hope all goes well with S and her appointment .
Nanto love the graphic, and that all will be well with your sil.
Sunshine I am sending good karma to you and your family such a massive op, but so worth it when he gets his old life back, hold on to that
Plant OUCH that would put me off the dentist for life , I once had a painful filling , he said it would be painful and not worth an injection it would only last seconds , but it wasnt and in the end I pushed his hand away and told him how painful it was , he seemed very put out and a bit abrupt with me , he left not long after 😀

Mimi hope all goes well for your DS too sending more good karma
I have had a loooong weekend of entertaining one half of family Easter Sunday why oh why do I cook so much food most of it has gone in the bin 😦 then the other half Easter Monday , yesterday I spent cleaning finger marks, chocolate removal on carpet, and hoovering up a tip
Today I have 3 lines of washing out stay away thunderstorms, bedding, clothes, towels, bathmats, you name it
Tomorrow I am going for a well deserved blow wave and pick up of twins should have been today but mummy is in meetings in London so daddy has taken the kids to school and picking them up so I have shuffled to Thursday

            Good afternoon.

Plant, I'm sorry to hear that your tooth extraction was so painful. it sounds horrific Take care of yourself and give yourself some tlc!
You're right about vets bills. I could have had another holiday with what I have spent recently.
Did you get the washing dry Qwerty? I had a line full of towels. All in and dry now. It came really dark while ago, but no rain yet.
Good to know you are getting better Oma.
I'm glad your SIL's doctor not too concerned Nan2. I'm sure a colonoscopy is no fun.

Meeting done, but not without some stress in getting there! A lorry had broken down slowing traffic to almost standstill. I had to phone to warn them that I would be late. In the end I was less than 10 minutes late, but it was stressful!
OH wasn't best pleased to keep the cast she has on. It is hot and heavy as it is double. She hoped to have it replaced by a lighter one today, but no. It's for the best though as it is to keep it in the best position.

We had to cancel our trip to the Coronation St set this Saturday, which we were looking forward to. I can't drive to Manchester. They let us rebook for September, as it was for a good reason.
As I was fed up about the one thing I was looking forward to (apart from my holiday) being delayed so long I have booked us on the Emmerdale outdoor set tour. For the end of May when OH's cast will be off.

A late check in for me today.

What a lot of poorly people at the moment.I hope all feel better really soon.

It’s rained here all day but everything looks really fresh and green now. I’ve spent most of the day trying to find a way to shorten the sleeves on a new lightweight jacket for OH. It fits fine everywhere but the sleeves are far too long. Anyway I’ve done a not at all professional job and the sleeves are right now.

              Enjoy your evening.

Gem, if they OH needed to keep the present cast on, it will be for good reason.
Pleased they let you rebook for the Coronation Street tour, and you have the Emmerdale one to look forward to as well.
Clover,i'm sure you will have done a good job with the jacket sleeves.
We had a very heavy shower about 5.30,but it was over quick.I'm sure i heard a few rumbles of thunder as well.
Oma, pleased your brother is happy in his new flat.

Qwerty our DD does the same as you . She cooks for the 5000 lots go into the dogs bowl everyone brings some home and she's still left with loads.
Just think those little sticky finger marks wont last long , before you know it they are teenagers

Clover I have the same problem with sleeves they always far too long , they should be like trousers you should be able to get them in different lengths .

Good evening everyone. I've just got back from doggy training. I couldn't go last night so went tonight instead. It was a very busy class and both Eva and I have come home shattered!

Qwerty - I over-catered for our visiting crowds at Christmas - we seemed to be eating leftovers for ages and a few portions went in the freezer, but quite a lot ended up in the bin!

Gem, you didn't need the extra stress of traffic jams today, and I'm sure OH must be quite fed up about not getting a lighter cast, but as you say it will be worth it and she doesn't want problems with it in the future when she's back out on the golf course. At least you've got the Emmerdale trip to look forward to. How are your poorly kitties tonight? I hope they're both ok.

Clover - well done on shortening the sleeves - I'm sure it's not easy, but I bet they look fine.

Oma - that's a good idea, different sleeve lengths. I hope you feel a bit better for having a meal out with SIL's parents. Of course you'll have to go out again on your actual anniversary on Friday! You must be pleased your brother has settled into his new flat so happily. He did the right thing.

We had really heavy rain this morning - it certainly gave the garden a good soaking, and while it was wet I went out and seeded it to hopefully sort out the bare patches and thicken it up generally to compete with the buttercup that seems to spread everywhere.

Daisy, both lady cats OK today. I stress about little D now when I'm away from her I find, only feeling relaxed when I can see her.
We had heavy rain this evening. Not as much as my DD needs for her allotment I fear. I heard thunder too Nan2.

My sister was bit out of sorts Oma. Partly as she is at the tail end of a nasty cold and partly because she isn't happy with lots of people about.
We decided to have the next meeting at the social workers office instead. The meeting went well. Her care is shared by NHS and social services so they and the Wilberforce Trust who own the bungalow she lives in all need to liaise from time to time, and family are invited. This is all for my sister's good.

To say goodnight on a lighter note.
Not long after sitting down in the waiting room this afternoon a nurse called a name and OH was up and following her. I knew it was OH's Christian name, but although I didn't hear the surname clearly it sounded nothing like hers. Before I could say 'are you sure it is you?' we had headed off and around a corner. We headed towards the room of the man we have seen each time (and eventually saw today), but were shown into cubicle, where a doctor waited.
There was only one chair so she said I could sit on the couch LOL. She then pulled up notes on screen and said she was going to compare with past reports.
                      I had to say something!
I said 'Excuse me could you just tell us what the surname is?' The Dr peered at the screen and said Coates. Which isn't OH's name, or anything like it!
I explained we must have misheard and this lady wasn't OH!! The nurse who led us in looked very confused when the Dr told her she had brought the wrong patient. A man then came who had been looking for OH to take her to X ray and couldn't find her. It was chaos!! The Dr was both confused and amused The nurse just looked daggers at us!!

Oma,they do say moving home is one of the most stressful things. Your brother will bounce back.

Gem, had to laugh at the bother you and OH caused at the hospital.

A dull start here too Nan2.
Oma, when do you go away? I know you told me once but I have forgotten! We must sort out out get together once you are both back

This morning I have to complete the delivery round I started a few days ago. There is another to do before May 2nd, I need to catch up! We have bright orange Lib Dems Are Winning Here! board in our front garden For a non political, person I seem to be getting quite involved!
Mum's shopping and visiting her this afternoon.

Good morning Oma and Nanto and everyone who arrives later.

Nanto - another pretty graphic. At first I thought the sparkly bits were rain, now I've decided they're fairy dust, which is much prettier than the Sahara dust we're currently suffering from.

Oma - it looks as though you didn't sleep much last night. I hope you can catch a nana nap later. Enjoy your trip to the hairdressers. Have you started packing yet? Yes, thank you, we did both sleep well.

Gem - I hate the process of names being called out for appointments at the hospital or doctors. The name often isn't clear and if it's a noisy room it can be hard to hear, plus different accents etc - I'm sure there could be a better system! I can imagine the confusion, though. Glad to hear kitties are ok at the moment, but I remember feeling the same about Clyde - I didn't want to leave him on his own. It's very difficult. xx I hope you sister's cold is soon better.

Plant - I hope your mouth is feeling a bit better today.

Still our decorating drags on. There's a small area of plaster on one wall that OH isn't happy with and he keeps refilling it and sanding it down again. I just want to get everything back in there and tidy! But he's promised to go supermarket shopping today, otherwise it will be bread and jam for dinner, except that we're nearly out of jam!
