Good morning all, hopefully today will see the last of the decorating today, just two doors and one radiator to paint.
We are planning to go to the cinema tomorrow as a well earned treat.

Daisy how is GD Daisy.
My two DS’ s managed to get through to their teenage years before they caught chicken pox. They caught it from DD who was 6 at the time. She was covered from head to toe with it and apart from feeling sleepy she wasn’t at all unwell it. DS’s on the other half were a different story, they were very unwell for about a week and they both lost a lot of weight, they were off school for three weeks !

Hooe yesterdays storm didn’t cause any damage to your gardens etc.

I hope your GD isn't feeling too poorly today Daisy, some children do seem to get milder cases than others, let's hope she is one of them.

Cool and windy here today. I am going to collect GS1 from school today, as Monday is better for DD this week, rather than the usual Tuesday. As my wrist is painful it is making driving tricky, especially for that distance, road conditions and roundabouts. I will go by public transport.
It will be a novelty to go by train I suppose I will get the bus to town then the train, which is a half hour journey, so I can sit back and read. The station is a few minutes walk from their house.

Good morning early posters.

Thank goodness the wind has died down. It was quite frightening last evening.I’ve been out to look for any damage and apart from lots of things blown around and the poor daffodils touching the ground with their heads all seems okay.

Nothing special here today. General housework and I must water the indoor plants. They tend to get forgotten a bit until my Peace Lily starts to flag and reminds me water is needed. I’ve put out two charity sacks for collection. Often they just want clothes but this latest one said they took bric a brac so I was happy to oblige

Must get on or the morning will be gone before I know it.

They off to Poole for two days for Hubbys's sisters funeral ,
shes really sad about T not getting any better ,Plus other things shes not sure or happy about
She does look in and keeps up but not feeling up to posting but she will when shes in a better frame of mind

Good morning all. Nice and bright here today. I was up and about by 7 o’clock after laying awake since 5., took cups of tea back to bed and promptly fell asleep again. P was up and breakfasted before I roused again, usually it’s the other way round!

P wants to go to the farm shop today and then a little walk, he is feeling so much better it’s unbelievable.

Clover, how are things with you both now? I was telling P about your car going and he could really understand how G was feeling about it, but hope all is ok now.

Have had a really painful shoulder these last few days. Too much knitting/crochet I think, but it woke me up in the night it was so bad.

Sorry to hear about Libra, so sad about her daughter.

Late up for me after having a wakeful night. We have a funeral to attend at 12.pm so I must get a shuffle on. I have just realised I have no waterproof mascara and I know I will have leaky eyes. I will have to do my best and concentrate hard on something in the church.

We didn't have the strong winds you speak of, watery sunshine this morning. Must get on and start emptying those kitchen cupboards, hoping to go to bowls this afternoon depending on how much I get done. I am out to lunch with two friends tomorrow (the friend who had the flesh eating disease) and her sister, they are visiting Stoke Mandeville hospital for a check up and are passing through so will be lovely to see her and her sister. It is also DD's birthday tomorrow and we (all the family and partners 15 of us I think) are going out for a meal so 2 meals out in one day, that gives me just the morning tomorrow before the kitchen people arrive on Wednesday, HELP!!! Don't know what I am doing here talking to you my lovely friends when I should be in that shower!

Morning grandmas and great grandmamas , everybody seems so busy, what’s wrong with me I have very little to do .Nan2 let us know how mil is, I too have a thyroid function test a week today , hope all is well for your OH. Splendid graphic today not that it isn’t other times 😉My OH was having a clear out in the garage yesterday and tried his soldering iron as he hadn’t used it for so long, when he went back to put it away he had forgot it was on and yes you guessed he picked it up not by the handle , lovely blisters on his fingers looks really sore today 😕
Gem at least you can relax travelling and not having to have eyes in the back of your head , is there another grandma who lives nearer that could have swapped , any way you know what they say Let the train take the strain !

Plant, to answer your question, OH will drive over and collect me tonight. The trains back are every hour and take half an hour, and then I would have to wait for a bus back from the station, so a lot of my evening would be taken up. OH can be there and back within the hour as she is a faster driver than me

Cleared quite a few cupboards, difficult to find enough boxes to put the contents in. Will get GD1 to carry them into the spare bedroom when she gets home from work. I am going to stop for a bit as I am feeling tired now, I think I will give bowls a miss this afternoon as that will be too much bending again. I don't want to overdo it and not enjoy my day tomorrow.

That’s the painting done, cleared everything up , vacuumed the carpets and shepherd pie ( one I made earlier) is in the oven I’m shattered!

I quite enjoyed my train journey for a change, and only £5.30 with my Railcard .
There was just time for tea and a wee at DD's and now I'm going over to pick up GS. Snack and change for him, then off we go to swimming

MIL was back to her usual self this morning.
When i got there,she was sat up in bed waiting for breakfast.
Hubby picked me up after he had been to the clinic.,MIL was sitting up in bed reading a magazine when we left.

Wind has died down again,but its raining now.
