If you're still burning the midnight oil, I thought you might like this! I must admit for a lot of them I went "awww, poor lamb" but others are just funny.

I have been awake for hours. I’ve had a cup of tea and caught up on Grans R us. So not completely wasted time. Why do I still feel wide awake when I was nodding off at 9pm last evening. I am going to spray some pillow mist on my pillow, go back to bed and listen to a meditation CD. Hopefully I will have some zzzzzzz soon. Goodnight😞

Sunshine - poor you. It's awful when you just can't catch sleep, but at least you caught up on all the GRU comings and goings. Did you get to sleep ok in the end? xx

I hope you got some sleep in the end Sunshine. I hate that sleepy downstairs wide awake once in bed thing!

Thankyou Daisy, Gem and Oma. Yes, I did get back to sleep, eventually. I had a lie in this morning, so I’ll be fine now. I’m going to a friends 80th birthday party in Farnham this evening, so I won’t be nodding off early this evening.

I could have joined you last night Sunshine but I did stay in bed and dozed.

I don't think I welcomed you back Sunshine. I hope you had a great holiday. I have trouble sleeping & would like to know what pillow mist is please. I fell asleep listening to a relaxation cd once & woke with it finished, earplugs still in & CD player under the covers.

Hi Nana, Thankyou, I had a lovely holiday.
Pillow mist is a spray, usually lavender scented that you spray on your pillow before bed. My current one came from M&S.. I really like the Champneys one also. You can probably get it from the body shop too. I use a meditation/ relaxation app on my iPad to help me nod off. Good luck. It’s worth a try.

Sunshine - that's a good two-pronged attack on the sleepless problem.

Mostly I sleep well, but on the odd occasion the worst thing is that 'why can't I get to sleep' treadmill. It just goes round and round in my head!

Either we've become a community of sleepy heads, or this just needs a bump!

                            Bumpy, bump, bump.

Gem - I won't wish it on you. In a way it would be nice if nobody ever needed this thread, but I know there are quite a few who are wide awake in the wee small hours.
