A couple of weeks ago Ben had his first s&x education lesson (not sure if the word would be automatically edited), mummy and daddy knew about it of course and when he came home dil asked him if he had any questions. He asked if she and daddy did "that thing" with their s&x parts to have him. When told yes they did and did he have any more questions he apparently pulled a face and said "No I think I know enough now thank you".
This is a sticky topic.

I had a good day yesterdays at Eureka interactive children's museum with DDs 1 and 2, and both GC. It was all at 2 year old GS's pace, which is fast. GD, 5 and thoughtful child liked to stop and look at things. I divided my time between everyone! We ate out afterwards, it was good to spend time with them all.
Whenever another child came into GSs orbit, he said 'My name is E....!'. Not in as you may imagine an introductory way, more of an announcement or even warning!
We thought it was hilarious, it sounds as though he was meaning 'Don't you know who I am??!!'“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Before she went on holiday GD and I were chatting. 'Grandma, you will never guess what was at the door the other morning! She said. I couldn't guess.
'It was Mrs X, my new teacher when I go back to school, holding a giant rabbit!!'
I was trying to work out why this would be. Some sort of home delivery of a class pet, to care for in the holidays??
No, the truth was the teacher apparently lives down the same lane. She found this rabbit (and DD confirmed it really was gigantic) in her garden and was knocking on the doors along the lane. She had no idea GD lived there.
It isn't their rabbit, so I hope it was reunited with its owner!

To understand this anecdote, you need to know that my GS, 3 next month, thinks Lucy in the sky with diamonds is about his best friend Lucy. He makes his mum play it over and over in the car.
On Saturday he and I were watching Waybuloo on TV. He said they were clever because they could fly. 'Yes, they are clever, we can't fly can we?!' I said.
'My friend can fly though' said GS - 'Lucy in the sky!'“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

What a cheery thread this is. Just caught up with these more recent ones. Zizi your OH reminds me of my late Dad. He came out with the funniest stories for us children. The neighbour next door to DD1 has her in stitches. He tells short versions of Snow Green & The Four Bears. Think you get the idea. Haha."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Today we told GD that she is to be a big sister. Something she has wanted since she was a tiny tot.
When her cousin, 3 next month, was saying goodbye to his auntie tonight, DD said, you are giving Auntie K's baby a cuddle too. Well,. he demanded to see the baby, and seemed to imagine the way to do this was via aunties bra!! Not a good idea as we were in a public place
