Golf clubs are notorious for their rules, at one of our local clubs ladies were only allowed to play certain times of the day and might still do.

Plant the Ladies Roll Up at OH's club, which is when you just turn up and make teams from whoever is there, in one day a week. The men have theirs every day. The women's is the one which is moved for competitions. Makes me so cross.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

The Club where my friend goes (where we meet up for lunch) have equal rules for mend and women, but you still get men being very dismissive of women golfers and think they should only play during the week! I expect this would be when they are unchained from the kitchen sink for a few hours!!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

Are you Portuguese Avo? I see your holiday pics on Fbk. Maybe you have a second property there. You obviously love the place & from your pics it's no wonder.😎"Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

The BBC presented its first edition of Woman's Hour, a daily programme of music, advice and entertainment for those in the home. The programme included an item on how to de-slime your flannels (!) and also broadcast the first episode of the thriller serial 'Dick Barton, Special Agent'.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

My MIL used to listen to women's Hour every day. Way back it was broadcast at 2 pm and it was 'her' time with the current youngest child. Quite how she listened and played with baby/toddler I don't know."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
