    What a day,
First I had to go sort my pills out and it's always stressful as I never know if they will have them.
Rang around 7 pharmacy's before found one that had them ,
Then we went to boots to pick up my insulin, as I previously said
Came home and B painted under the stairs,

Waiting for a phone call to sort MIL out , They said because of her oxygen she had to come home by ambulance.
Just after 1 SIL2 rang she had a message to say MIL in the discharge lounge but the carer wasn't arriving till late evening instead of 2pm as she was coming from London ,

London of all places why not someone near home,

So I called the coordinator a really lovely lady called Raz ,
I said we have all built our day around this carer coming at two ,
The discharge nurse had rang to say MIL was getting upset ,
Told her this was getting off to a bad start, MIL didn't want this to start with, if she had to wait in the discharge lounge till they knew the carer was there she will kick off big time,

So the coordinator said she would come and stay with MIL till the carer arrived ,

So B and I had to go over to let her in ,
We sprayed the weeds and B strimmer around the lawn just to make it look tidier while we waited,

In the meantime Bs DS2 and our nephew turned up.

Coordinator came and we waited and waited for the hospital to phone ,
MIL rang me really angry she was still there ,
So we had to ring again to get her an ambulance.

By then it was 4.30 the carer rang to say she was at the station so our nephew went to pick her up.
A very nice Black South African called Pamela,

Soon after MIL arrived home , very grumpy ,
We had to leave then so SIL2 stayed till MIL was settled in ,
She and nephew then left but MIL wasn't happy she wanted them to stay ,

Coordinator stayed to make sure carer knew MILs needs and then she would eventually have to leave them too it.

We just know it's not going to work,

We were so stressed I had a headache and we were half way home when B realised he still had his slippers on 😁
Lord knows what tomorrow will bring but DS1 is going , let her deal with it for once.

      Good morning.. Nice bright morning.

Oma, its going to be fun and games with MIL.
The carer has come far enough.
Maybe there are no live in carers nearer.

We are going into town later. Hubby will meet his pal, then we'll all meet up for coffee before coming home.
I always go to my favourite cafe for coffee as soon as we get into town.
There is another lady about my age that goes to the cafe at the same time as me.
We have started sitting together and have a natter.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

        Good morning ladies.

Nan2, nice to have chat, you may become friends

Oma, good lord, what a day.As you say, leave it to someone else today.

Daisy, my hydrangea is still relatively new ( a 7oth birthday present) Its not doing too well, it must be the heat as you say.

Well we actually had a nice afternoon yesterday in the end. We decided that as we have both been feeling a bit low recently seeing Toy Story 5 at the cinema would cheer us up! It did and I felt rested for the shopping afterwards. We had tea in Prezzo on the way home. Then OH wanted to drop off a golf club head cover to a golf friend in the village. Most of the golf ladies have much bigger smarter houses than we do and this was no exception, it was lovely. She invited us in for a glass of wine, which we hadn't expected, I had waited in the car. She and her husband had just arrived back from London and were relaxing with a glass of wine and cheese board. I hadn't met them before both very nice.

Library this morning. The librarian who moved to a different branch is covering ours today. She messaged me to let me know, so I am looking forward to seeing her.
I need to drop off a key with DD1 afterwards so she can pop in to feed the cats when we are away, and to Sainsburys for a couple of things. Then I will pack as we leave early tomorrow for Thomasland Just clothes for one night and plenty of snacks and books for little E.

Daisy, yes my arm is much better today, can forget about it now!
Two of the shops we went to did not have working aircon Primark, where OH wanted to look upstairs for golf tops had none working upstairs and large Boots branch had none and I was SO hot. The Range at least was cool. We were glad to get back into OH's car, then the restaurant was lovely and cool.
Our library is always hot, I am expecting to need a shower when I get back!

            Morning ladies

            Nanto
How lovely to have someone to chat too while having a cupper,
They say friends are only strangers we haven't met yet 😁

            Gem
What a nice couple inviting you in , it's not how smart the house is it's the friendliness of the people in it 😁
I bet Little E is so excited for Thomas land ,
My new hydrangea has stood up well considering the heat and I really haven't had time to do much but water them.
I am hoping I can keep it alive .

Well it's already started with MIL ,
She rand at 5.30 this morning demanding we go over ,
First it was in soaking with sweat I need changing the bed needs stripping , B said Mam the carer will do all that ,
Well she will be going soon , no she's living with you,

Then you're going to have to come put the heating on ,
no DS showed her yesterday how to do it ,

Well what about the hot water you will have to come and do that ,
            No the water is on

How am I going to get up and washed ,
Jean will have to come and help me the carer going soon🙄

No Mam the carer is living with you that's her job ,
Then the tears started , you don't know what it's like your all abandoning me.
I can't get the oxygen to work.
So B said let me talk to the carer as we heard her come into the bedroom,

Carer said she's sweating that's why she is wet but I'm going to change her after her breakfast and her oxygen is fine,
She's had a bad night and she's upset and confused,

So then she put mother back on and she said right I'm going your making my tea go cold 😱

Bs oldest sister going this morning let her deal with her for once ,
Then on top of that now his two sisters are not talking so I'm the go between again ,
            It's just too much .

              Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, you may find you and the lady in the cafe have lots in common. What a nice encounter. Did you tell each other your names?

Gem, I bet Little E is already very excited about Thomasland. It will be very special sharing his enjoyment. We've moved our hydrangeas in pots into a shadier part of the garden as they're looking very sorry for themselves. How kind of OH's golf friend to invite you both in for a drink. As Oma says, it's not the size of the house that matters it's the people who live there. They sound a lovely couple. I hope your former library manager is well. I bet she will be pleased to see you.

Oma, I don't think any of us expected MIL's return home with a live-in carer to go smoothly, but this is awful for all of you. I can understand her being confused after so long in hospital, so (ever the optimist!) I hope she settles down a bit in a couple of days when she gets used to being home again. I hope you can get some rest to day - you're wearing yourselves out. xxx

It's another nice sunny day and we've still got the cool breeze. It's very pleasant and I'm getting some jobs around the house done.

The day just got better and better,
Firstly the lovely pictures a set of 4 I bought from Next when we opened them two were damaged,
So off we went for them opening , no more in stock and can't order anymore they discontinued.
I was gutted , it took me ages to find some I liked,
Came home B went to get his tool box from under the stairs to put the fire back on the wall,
Only to discover the small freezer we have in there , last night when he put it back he hadn't turned it on ,
                So everything defrosted.

The chicken we can cook and once cooked re freeze,
but everything else fish , meat balls, and boxed things had to be binned ,
Two fillet steaks the dog will have tonight for his tea .
I am going to lie down in a darkened room ,

SIL1 rang mother won't get out of bed ,won't talk to anyone ,
Told her it's her mother her turn she just has to get on with it , we going tomorrow I'm not going today .

Loved my new bed, being smaller I have more clear space in the bedroom. Just been to see the nurse to get the dressing changed. Still not healed enough to leave off the dressing.

Oma, Just read the report of Mil’s return, she is making trouble already. The carer will not put up with that. Nothing you do will suit Mil. Try and get away for a few days.

Nanto, sounds like a new friend in the making.

Gem, Visit to Thomas land sounds jut what GS will love.

No chance Gem I have said to B we will go tomorrow and Sunday but we not running over every day ,
Other sister been and mother still refusing to get out of bed ,
If she has decided to take to her bed then after the initial 4 week assessment they will have to find a home for her.
Today I am past caring , I might feel different tomorrow after a rest 😁

hallo everyone, Oma, I cannot understand how they can let your MIL home!! It is going to be hard work for all of you! Not a good thing to have the freezer not working with the heat.

It is so hot, I have had to move some plants into the shade as the leaves were burning.

GD1 has just been to bring me my present, she always sends a postcard from where she is as well, that will follow. She still isn't 100% but better than she was, she is lovely and tanned though and they both had a really good holiday up to the last day. She said she was pleased to be home and in her own bed!!

Gem, I hope that all of you enjoy the visit to Thomas!! I hope it isn't as warm as it is here.

Plant, you will be pleased with your new bed.

I have been to the physio for dry needling in my bottom!!! I have felt it a while , especially when I stand up, it will be with walking wrong when my knee was so painful. The dry needling does help though, luckily, I have to message it at home with a tennis ball, that works as well. I managed the gym this morning, the first time in a week, I was among the early birds at 6-30am.

Gem, try to put your hydrangea in the shade, I have had to do that with mine.
