    Good morning everyone.

Oma, sad news about your neighbour, but despite the sadness there will be some relief.

Aqua for me this morning. I am meeting a friend for coffee this afternoon.

Hallo everyone, a little cooler but still warm!

Sad about your neighbour, alzeimers is a terrible disease, I heard yesterday that a lady I know is being admitted to a care home this week, it was her 85th birthday last week, I was talking to her son, he lives down in the new apartments.

I have a Honeywell ventilation tower, I have had it a few years, now and again when it is hot I use it in my bedroom, it worked last week but would it #### as rotate! I have been looking on line for advice, I was going to take it to the repair cafe in the village on Saturday morning, this morning whilst doing coffee I had another look on line and read that it sometimes helps to unplug it and turn it upside down for 60 seconds! The first thing I did when I got in was do exactly that, it worked, unbelievable!!!

I had a look on Amazon for one the same, delivery would have been .....January 6th 2027!

The directrix was in the office this morning, there are 5 locations, she got a message from the town hall on Friday that all locations are going to be fitted with aircon!

Bittersweet Oma, with the news about your neighbour.

Had a bit of sunshine, but mostly cloudy today.
its been nice to be able to housework without being over warm.

Lizzie, sometimes all it needs is a quick fix. Glad you got it working again.

It's certainly nice to have a more normal summer temperature I must say.

Lizzie, I think something like your ventilation tower will be needed for us all as these summer heatwaves become the norm.

I felt quite tired after my class, but had good long rest and chat with 3 friends over coffee afterwards.
Then out for coffee with another friend this afternoon

We have had our kitchen window replaced today. We were expecting him next week but he must have had a cancellation and came today. The first I knew of it was when I came back from aqua. The van was on the drive and the back window was out!

Gem, You've had a good caffeine boost today, but feeling tired after your class is probably "good" tired. It seems we, as a country, don't cope very well with any extremes of weather, heat, drought, heavy rain, very low temperatures. They all seem to cause a lot of disruption. It was certainly more comfortable today. Good to get the window done, even if it was a surprise to you.

Oma, I'm sorry to hear about your neighbour, but it sounds as though his quality of life was very poor. I hope his wife copes with his loss. At least she has good, caring neighbours. xx

Lizzie, is your lift still working ok? The ventilation tower sounds a good idea. There's often a simple solution to a problem, but turning it upside down must be the easiest fix ever.

              Plant, how are you today?

Even though it was hot today I took Eva out about 6 am. She decided she was definitely not going the way I'd planned. Something must have been bothering her, so we went in the opposite direction. It was a longer walk but less off-lead time. I'm enjoying these early morning outings and come back feeling ready to face the day. I've read somewhere that getting outside within the first hour of getting up energises you, and so far, that's how is seems to me. However, it's easier when it's daylight and the weather is kind. I don't think I'd do it in winter!

At least the window is done now , we had the same with the drive and DD with her conservatory roof ,
Your right it's been a normal summer heat today , much easier to move around isn't it.

                Lizzie
Good old internet you can find a solution for everything can't you 😁
Saved you money as well that's a bonus.

My DD takes Storm out very early but in the winter SIL does the early morning walk.
DD likes to go out early then sit in the garden with her tea and toast before starting work.
Eva knows what she wants doesn't she 😁

We went to Dalton park this afternoon and to the Sketchers shop ,
B got two pairs of nice trainers and I got a pair of slip on trainers and some nice comfy sandles,

We then went looking at new front doors,
I think we have decided on one but don't want to rush into it,
SIL then popped in with the lad who works for him for a quick cup of tea between jobs ,
They had a carpet to fit in the next village.

Yesterday part of my gifts from DD was a lovely set of three reed diffusers with highland cows on from next.
I opened one this morning and put the reeds in , it smelt very strong ,
I started to get a headache and when I looked it was Lilly & Jasmine,
The Jasmine is ok but I'm allergic to the smell of lilies.

I don't want to tell DD as she put thought into my gifts , so I had to pour them out clean the bottles and I will find a oil that I'm ok with and fill them with that so she is none the wiser 😁

Oma, I thought about Storm during those very hot days last week, thinking he must hate it. Eva had her cool coat on all day and if definitely helped, but it was still hot for her.

What apity about the reed diffusers. It's funny how some scents affect us. I get a headache from Gardenia scents.

Oma, that's kind of you to just change the perfume so your DD doesn't realise.

Daisy, I can see how getting out early has that beneficial effect. I sometimes got up early on weekends and walked the whole of the Bar (city) Walls before my then OH woke up. Walking in the city isn't nearly as nice as where you walk, but being up above everyone was lovely. On nice weather days as you say! Not so much fun in the fog etc!

                      Good morning.

                      Some cloud about this morning.

Oma, hope DD doesn't notice you've changed the fragrance. I've got some pretty reed diffusers. I buy refills oils from amazon.

Our usual jaunt into town this morning.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

Library this morning then hospital pick up for DD3 this afternoon. Her dad tries to do these fortnightly pick ups as much as he can. He doesn't do any childcare so I'm happy to let him! Theres a problem with his car so I have stepped in today.

Golf competition for OH. There are storms forecast so I hope we both finish what we are doing before they arrive.

                        Tesco delivery late afternoon.

I hope everyone is well and has a good day.

                          Morning ladies

                          Gem
Fingers crossed your at home before the weather breaks ,
                          Good luck to S .
Hope the Tesco man doesn't get a soaking or he will be shot putting your groceries towards the door from the van 😁

                          Nanto
Enjoy your trip to town ,
Is it just the usual or are you on the hunt for something ?

We are popping down to our neighbour this morning to see how she is ,
Then it's hospital visiting day again,
I'm going to ask for another visit from the memory team.
SIL1 was in yesterday and said she was confused then SIL 2 rang her last night and it was just gibberish.
Martin rang she didn't know who he was then said she couldn't understand him.

It's overcast here but it's nice to have it a bit cooler ,

                            Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I hope you have a wonderful day, too. Your graphic is very cute. I love reed diffusers, but only have one in the cloakroom and the oils can affect pets. There's a bewildering number of fragrances to choose from. I hope the clouds weren't rain clouds.

Gem, I hope all goes well for DD3 today and she doesn't have to hang around waiting for too long. Fingers crossed OH isn't out in the middle of the golf course when/if you have a storm.

Oma, I hope your neighbour is as well as she can be. Apart from anything else, she must be exhausted. MIL seems to be more confused just lately, so a visit from the memory team is sensible.

It's definitely cooler her today. I took Eva out about 6.30 and it started raining when we were about half way round our walk. It wasn't heavy, but got worse after we were back home. The sun's trying to come out now though. I was going to wash bedding, but I think I'll wait till tomorrow. Today's probably a good day to have a bash at the ironing pile. Great joy! We also need to clean inside the caravan if the rain holds off.

Daisy, the clouds weren't rain clouds, but storms have been forecast for some time today.

it was cool when we went into town, but it did warm up while were there.

`Hallo everyone, it has been dull here all day but still very humid. Not as bad as last week though,

I have been to my physio for a scan of my knee, he said it looks more settled, hardly any fluid at all, he said to keep going to the gym, cycling etc and see how it goes on, I told him it is more stiff now than it is painful! We had a good long chat, I have known him for years! He made the mistake of cycling on Sunday, he said it almost killed him!!!

I am going to GD1 with a meal when she finishes her work experience. I have a salad made etc, grilled chicken legs, which she loves then a fruit salad, she will have to occupy herself until it is ready to head to the airport.

This is a photo of the terror on my balcony!!! Each time I go out he flies about squeaking as hard as he can, the same if I sit outside, my neighbour feeds them, it must think I am going to feed them as well. I have just looked for the name in English, ring-necked parakeet,

DS1 and family went to the Harry Potter Studio yesterday, the idea was that he dropped DIL and GD2 off then he was going somewhere else, he decided to go though and was pleased he did, he said it is a fantastic day out!
