    Good morning everyone.

Oma, sad news about your neighbour, but despite the sadness there will be some relief.

Hallo everyone, a little cooler but still warm!

Sad about your neighbour, alzeimers is a terrible disease, I heard yesterday that a lady I know is being admitted to a care home this week, it was her 85th birthday last week, I was talking to her son, he lives down in the new apartments.

I have a Honeywell ventilation tower, I have had it a few years, now and again when it is hot I use it in my bedroom, it worked last week but would it #### as rotate! I have been looking on line for advice, I was going to take it to the repair cafe in the village on Saturday morning, this morning whilst doing coffee I had another look on line and read that it sometimes helps to unplug it and turn it upside down for 60 seconds! The first thing I did when I got in was do exactly that, it worked, unbelievable!!!

I had a look on Amazon for one the same, delivery would have been .....January 6th 2027!

The directrix was in the office this morning, there are 5 locations, she got a message from the town hall on Friday that all locations are going to be fitted with aircon!

Bittersweet Oma, with the news about your neighbour.

Had a bit of sunshine, but mostly cloudy today.
its been nice to be able to housework without being over warm.

Lizzie, sometimes all it needs is a quick fix. Glad you got it working again.

It's certainly nice to have a more normal summer temperature I must say.

Lizzie, I think something like your ventilation tower will be needed for us all as these summer heatwaves become the norm.

I felt quite tired after my class, but had good long rest and chat with 3 friends over coffee afterwards.
Then out for coffee with another friend this afternoon

We have had our kitchen window replaced today. We were expecting him next week but he must have had a cancellation and came today. The first I knew of it was when I came back from aqua. The van was on the drive and the back window was out!

Gem, You've had a good caffeine boost today, but feeling tired after your class is probably "good" tired. It seems we, as a country, don't cope very well with any extremes of weather, heat, drought, heavy rain, very low temperatures. They all seem to cause a lot of disruption. It was certainly more comfortable today. Good to get the window done, even if it was a surprise to you.

Oma, I'm sorry to hear about your neighbour, but it sounds as though his quality of life was very poor. I hope his wife copes with his loss. At least she has good, caring neighbours. xx

Lizzie, is your lift still working ok? The ventilation tower sounds a good idea. There's often a simple solution to a problem, but turning it upside down must be the easiest fix ever.

              Plant, how are you today?

Even though it was hot today I took Eva out about 6 am. She decided she was definitely not going the way I'd planned. Something must have been bothering her, so we went in the opposite direction. It was a longer walk but less off-lead time. I'm enjoying these early morning outings and come back feeling ready to face the day. I've read somewhere that getting outside within the first hour of getting up energises you, and so far, that's how is seems to me. However, it's easier when it's daylight and the weather is kind. I don't think I'd do it in winter!
