      Hello everyone.

Nanto, what a cheery Good Morning greeting. You've got a very efficient production line for making your pies. How many will this batch give you?

Gem, Oh dear. At least you remembered DD1's cat eventually. Did you confess? At least the cat won't tell on you, even if the Ring does! You're having a busy afternoon with Little E and Tesco delivery.

Oma, I had to laugh at the thought of you dashing round to your DD's in your jimjams! Did the table get collected? It sounds weird, but I think sometimes a really good sleep can leave you feeling still tired - almost as though you need another 8 hours. I hope your boiler man turns up next time.

It's been very windy and quite chilly here but more or less dry until a few minutes ago. The heavens opened. I was on the phone to DS2 and commented on the downpour. It was dry where he lives (8 miles away, less if you're a crow), and we both agreed it was lucky as GD2 was walking home from school and didn't have a coat with her. Within less than a minute it was pouring there as well. GD will be very wet!

This morning we took Eva for hydrotherapy. I took her for a walk first, and she walked happily off lead onto the path behind our cul de sac. Let's hope she's getting over her thunder fears. She loves the hydro place and lead the way in to the treadmill towing the therapist behind her! She goes again in 3 weeks. OH and I were very entertained by another client arriving with a young Labrador. The dog was super-excited and literally dragged his therapist through to the swimming pool. There was a huge splash as he dived straight into the water, and was charging up and down the pool at top speed. We were all laughing! Apparently he's doing gun-dog training and the pool is to build up his fitness levels. He already seemed pretty fit to me.

OH is in his shed doing some woodturning. He hasn't had time to do any for ages, so I'm glad he's making time now.

Thank you Oma. I'm sure it will arrive in time. If not I can enjoy it when I get back, I will get some after we set off almost certainly!

No I didn't confess. I just replied Not that I noticed when she asked if there were any dead birds in the house 😁
And when I actually got there it was true.
All was fine again this morning and I followed Omas lead and took a few Dreamies with me!

Daisy, I would love to see that dog splashing away at speed!
I hope your OH enjoys his wood turning.

Our friends C and P came to drop off my card this afternoon and stayed for a cuppa. Little E engaged them in lots of play!
OH played golf at the coast today and said she had never played in such windy conditions.

Hallo everyone, we have the same weather here as you have Daisy! I was at a friends this morning near Den Haag, the man that lost his wife, my friend, he lives in a penthouse and you could see the dark clouds hovering along the coast, they didn't hover for long as I had rain on the way home, I was almost home, not a drop here! I got on the bike to go to the hand physio, down came the rain, it has been dry ever since though, very windy!

You do well with your pies Nanto, they are never made here, other things are but not pies!

Gem, no wonder that you forgot the cat, you have so much going on at the moment.

I have exercises to do for my thumb, what a nice young man!

GD1 has just phoned to see how I am , her mother and sister are at Ikea for a new mattress. She was telling me on Sunday that she had been put in charge of a new group of children, I think up to 2 years in that group, she said, "I will be on my own nan, I don't know them and they don't know me"! I asked her how it went, she said that 2 cried at the change but they soon stopped and got used to her.

Daisy, the hydrotherapy sounds very good for the dogs. The open air pool in the next village, it is open until September I think, the last day is for dogs and their owners!!! They certainly make a splash!

I will see how my bites are later on, I do have an appointment at the doctor tomorrow if it is necessary, if they look better I will cancel it. I have the dentist first, then the mouth hygienist. It is all go this week, at least I got the alterations done, just a few things for DIL, I want her to try them on for the length then they are finished.

I will get pots tidied away and sit and relax!

Daisy yes everything has gone ,
A lady came for the coffee table, she has moved from Hastings with nothing, left everything behind after a bad breakup ,
She has moved back to be near family ,
I text her later to ask if she wanted my mirror from my dining room ,
I don't want anything for it just need it gone for the new one to go up.

Then a man came for the side tables for his son that has just moved into his first flat and these were the last thing he needed.

I would have loved to see the lab swimming too,
Eva loves it doesn't she , have you many more planned,
Storm has to wait till the vet thinks he his healed enough ,
He is desperate for a groom but the groomers said only if she gets a letter from the vet,
He said leave it another week or two.

GS came to be fed ,
DD is working downstairs in the dinning room and there is a man re plastering both bedrooms so she couldn't use her office and GS couldn't make a noise cooking as DD was in a meeting, so us to the rescue 😁

            Gem
It was very windy today ,
I think the coast is even windier,
I bet little E was pleased to have someone he could play with 😀

            Nanto
            A job for tomorrow then,
I bet it doesn't take you long though to make them.

            Lizzie
            Our posts crossed ,
I'm pleased the young physio was nice , I hope it works for you,

We haven't had rain but it's been very windy .
I'm sure your GD coped fine , she sounds a level headed young woman.

Nanto, have you got another day of cooking for the freezer tomorrow?

Oma, it's good when we can pass unwanted but good items on to people who need and appreciate them. That poor woman moving from one end of the country to the other - it must have been awful for her. Storm's making good progress, and when he's a bit better the hydrotherapy will help a lot. The physio exercises the specialist vet gave us are also brilliant, and Eva treated them like a game, as I'm sure Storm would. It's all happening at your DD's house. No wonder GS came to you. We've booked Eva in for another hydro session in 3 weeks' time. The Lab at the hydro was a very handsome black working Lab.

Lizzie, it's crazy weather, isn't it. Did the physio say what the problem was with your thumb? I hope the exercises will help. That sounds like a lot to ask of your GD1 to take on a group of very young children who she doesn't know, but she's done well if she kept them all happy like that. Did her Mum and your GD2 get the new mattress? You've got a busy day tomorrow, the dentist, the hygienist and possibly the doctor. I hope the bites are better though. It sounds as though you were busy today as well to get all those alterations done. I hope you managed to relax after you'd done the pots.

Gem, thank goodness you didn't have to deal with any bird corpses at your DD1's. I was wondering why she'd be worried about dead birds - forgetting that their cute, fluffy Tiddles is probably an expert exterminator. Little E is great at entertaining your visitors, isn't he. He doesn't seem to be in the least bit shy, which is lovely. I think coastal golf courses must be a whole different kind of game, especially when it's windy. I'm sure it was tiring, but did she enjoy it?

OH spent most of the afternoon in his shed. He had to clean the lathes first as he hasn't used them for so long. Then he found something he'd usually do in ten minutes took him half an hour! So it was slow progress, but it's easy to get out of practice with any craft skill. The muscle memory is still there - it just wants a bit of a prod to get going again. He won't have time to do any tomorrow, but we haven't got anything on over the week-end so he can do some more then.

Tomorrow afternoon the pensioners' group OH belongs to are having a Forest walk followed by a cream tea at a lovely Forest pub. We've been before, but we're going to be very lazy and just go for the tea and miss out the walk. It's quite a long one and walking in a group isn't like being on your own when you can go at whatever pace suits you. I hope it doesn't rain.

Good morning . Looking overcast this morning.

It won't take long to make the pies. I cheat and use ready made pastry now.

Oma, glad the unwanted furniture has gone.

                    Morning Nanto, Ladies.

                    Nanto
Bought pastry is so good now isn't it ,
B makes his own short pastry but flaky pastry etc we buy , already rolled just ready to cut ,
Years ago when it first came out it was very tough wasn't it and didn't have the butter in they do today ,
It always looked a bit grey,

                    It's a nice bright morning,
I have done what needs doing , put a white wash on and we took the mirror down ready for the lady to collect,
B filled in the holes now just the new one to go up but SIL will have to help with that.

B now taking the opportunity to paint the sleepers in the garden and maybe if it stays nice start on the fence ,
He can only do a bit at a time now.

I want to to B&M as I didn't get yesterday but I don't want to disturb him while he's in the flow otherwise it will be left till another day 😁

                      Good Friday morning, everyone.

Nanto, ready made pastry is so useful. I keep a couple of packets in the freezer, but do sometimes make shortcrust myself. I'm looking forward to the cream tea. Even though I don't eat cream, their cakes are out of this world and all home-made.

Oma, I hope B gets as much done as he can today. We do have to pace ourselves these days. It's frustrating, but can't be helped. I'm sure that lady will be thrilled with the mirror. It's kind of you to give it to her. Did you get something exciting at B&M? It must be handy having shops like that within walking distance.

I've promised Eva a walk in the Forest this morning as we'll be leaving her at home this afternoon. OH has gone out for a couple of hours and he's reminded me several times to take a key when I go out! My house key and my car key are on the same ring so I'm not sure why he's worried!

It's very dull and overcast and not very warm, but I hope the rain holds off.

                        Good morning everyone.

Nothing wrong with ready made pastry Nan2, life is to short as they say

That sounds a lovely afternoon planned Daisy I hope the weather holds.

Oma, B is right to pace himself.

Lizzie, did you go to the Dr today or are the bites much better?

                        The sun is shining
Early start here with little E, then a 10.30 library meeting for me. Home again now!
School pick up for GS2 later.
I got us a ready meal on yesterdays Tesco order for our tea tonight, so only a few veg to do to go with it once GS has been collected. We usually feed him around 5, then eat when he has gone.

Hallo everyone, Gem, the bites are much better today thanks, I cancelled my appointment, they are still blistered but not red and swollen.

I have been to the dentist, not like the dentist we had!!! I saw 4 different people, had my teeth and gums poked and prodded, had an X ray made??? I asked why???? The young (they all are) said it was a few years ago that the last one was made! I go every 6 months, the last time I was there the mouth hygienist said it would be better to go every 3 months!!!! I said at the time, keep it at 6 months, the first thing she asked me is why I didn't turn up for my appointment in March!!!! I told her because I didn't have one, I told the receptionist to keep it at 6 months. Apart from all that, all is fine in my mouth!!!

Daisy, the young physio said the pain in my thumb could be caused from my ski thumb many years ago, I fell on the slope here and my thumb actually ended up facing the wrong way!!! It was painful, now that he mentioned it he could be right.

It is dull at the moment but still warm.

                          Enjoy the tea Daisy.xx
