Daisy I didn't go sandal shopping either, but we did get the compost.

Good news that the quad passed the MOT Nan2.

Good timing with the panels Oma.

We really enjoyed the film Michael. We went to a late afternoon showing then had tea out on the way home.
It had rained while we were in the cinema.

Good morning ladies. The sun is shining.

Daisy, we have bought one set of new towels, I'm not getting rid of my others though, they are too good to throw away.

Gem, DS2 and DIL went last week to watch Michael and they enjoyed it. Both of them said they will watch the follow ups when they come out.

Someone coming out from Yorkshire water to upgrade the water meters. Due between 8 and 12.

        Morning Nanto, ladies.

        Nanto
What colour towels have you. Gone for?
Hope it doesn't take too long for the metre to be changed.

        Gem
I'm glad you enjoyed the film
Tea out was a bonus 😁

Would you believe we phoned the joiner to say the panels were here and he's off on holiday this morning,so have to wait till the 26th now ,
        Just our luck 🙄😄

I was up very early this morning dso after I did my usual jobs I set too and cleaned all the windows inside and all the mirrors,

I hate doing the dinning room mirror ,, it's huge and made up of smaller mirrors so each one has to be cleaned.

Although I love it we have decided to get something else either a frameless mirror or one like in my hall with a fancy frame .
I'm not sure yet till we look
It's getting too much for me now , it takes too long to clean.

Not sure what we are doing today we will see how it goes.

          Good morning ladies.

Sun shining brightly here too Nan2. Not sure what the forecast is. Yesterday morning was like this, bit was dull by the afternoon.

Oma, definitely get rid of the hard work mirror!

Back to aqua for me this morning. This afternoon we are picking up DD3 from hospital after her chemo treatment and dropping her back for a scan at 4.30. I think her dad will then take her home. That was the original plan after chemo, but when she got the scan appointment for this afternoon it made sense to come here for couple of hours between as we live closest to the hospital. We were pleased that they moved her chemo forward a day so she could enjoy her birthday yesterday.

            Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I love the swans with their little family of cygnets. I would hate to throw away good towels just because I wanted a different colour. One advantage of having a dog though, is that there's always a need for "dog towels". We seem to get through loads of them. If we ever get too many I know the dog and cat rescue homes are grateful for them. I hope the new water meter doesn't take too long.

Oma, that mirror sounds like a job you could do without. I still like the ones we have in our hall and cloakroom - they're very easy to clean but don't need a frame. I'll post a photo.

I started this post ab out 3 hours ago! Unexpected visitor now, so I'll pop back later

I have just got home from my appointment with the nurse from the lung clinic. She has explained to me how it all works and showed me the best way to use the spacer!

She says the sinus problem is a coincidence, it is improving now with the medicine.

It is a lovely day, my washing has dried whilst I was away, I did go on the bus as I didn't fancy cycling with the sinus blocked, in fact, I quite enjoy the bus ride.

Oma, I have one antique mirror in here and a full length one in the wardrobe in my bedroom, the wardrobe belonged to my Scottish grandparents and must be almost 150 years old. When I am polishing it I often think of the servants in those days having to polish it.

Gem, how long does DD3 have to wait for the results of the scan?

Nanto, I have towels from when I got married to my first DH, many years ago! They are bright orange and have never lost the colour.

Oma, we got light cream colour for the new towels.
                I don't blame you,looking for another mirror.

Didn't take long for the young man to upgrade the water meters, only about ½ an hour.

That wasn't too long then Nan2.

I hope the visitors were nice ones Daisy!

I'm glad the sinus problem is improving Lizzie.
I think DD3 is given the results at her next consultant appointment in a couple of weeks time. She s very afraid of this, but I am keeping everything crossed it will be good news.

I enjoyed my aqua class but began to feel tired about 10 minutes before the end. Not surprising I suppose as I have had this virus and been pretty inactive since I was last there on Friday.

DD was finished with the chemo just after 1.30 so OH and I picked her up. We had a nice afternoon here and her dad collected her at 5 to go for the scan (which was at 5.30 not 4.30 as I thought!)

Lizzie, I'm glad to hear things are improving for you, and you even got your washing dried.

Nanto, the cream towels sound nice. Less harsh than pure white, but lovely to use. I hope the n ew water meter doesn't mean your water bill will go up. Ours have increased over 40% this year.

Gem, yes, it was our lovely next door neighbour. We haven't seen each other for about 3 weeks and she texted to see if I was free, so I said to come round. I'd just made a pot of tea. The dogs were pleased to see each other, and both lay down with bones to enjoy.

I'm not surprised you felt tired towards the end of your Aqua class - a cold takes it out of you. Poor DD3, waiting for scan results. I'll keep everything crossed for her as well.

Good morning. The sun is shining.
Yesterday on the local weather on tv, it said we would have frost ,but we haven't had any.

Gem, another one here, hoping the results are good for DD.

Daisy, lovely to have a natter with your next door neighbour.

Last night I was thinking about what to do for dinner today, when hubby said don't bother, we'll go to KFC. He didn't get any argument from me.

Sainsbury's delivery between 9 and 10, hairdresser coming at 10.

                        Good morning everyone.
                        A dull start here today.

KFC always a good choice Nan2. Good graphic

That sounds a nice visit with your neighbour Daisy.

Usual Thursday routine with Little E from nursery after lunch and here overnight.
OH has a chiropractor session this morning.
We have a Tesco delivery due between 9 and 10 pm. We will have to stay awake!!

                          Morning ladies

                          Gem
We hated waiting for results , I think that is the worst part , even worse than the treatment as your on edge all the time and your tummy does summersaults when the day arrives to see the consultant,
Poor DD fingers crossed here as well,

S having her treatment today hopefully will make it easier for her game tomorrow
I can imagine you felt tired after Aqua your still not 100% yet after that cold. Take it easy xxx

                          Nanto
Funnily enough we were looking at cream towels for the downstairs loo in Matalan yesterday,
But it's a high use area so I think a darker towel is better for that ,😁

                          Daisy
How nice to have a chat with your neighbour and the dogs were able to play together,
It breaks the day up as well as having a good gossip 😁

                          GS came yesterday,
He and Connor have officially finished Uni now ,
Today He, Connor, and the two Dads are off to Scotland to play golf for a few days to celebrate.

He said now it's worrying about his grades,
We have told him whatever they are he knows he worked hard and he can't do any better than that so not to worry,
We know he will do good but he always has self doubts.
