Good morning, Gem, what a nightmare!!!! Losing your phone. I never have any cards with me, only thing is, I won't have to lose my phone! As the others say, keep an eye on all the local sites, I often see cards, phones etc being found on local sites, not long ago I found a neighbours bank card.

Daisy, my friend next door and myself have figured out how the parcel came to be where it was, one of the neighbours, strange man (couple), he was the one that almost punched me last year, he did the same to another lady a few weeks ago. He is forever reporting her dog to the police, the dog wouldn't hurt a fly! A few parcels disappear in the building, we think he took this one, opened it, decided it wasn't worth having to dumped it!!! That is what we think, could be right as well.

    The poor children with migraines.

Daisy, I can understand the omelettes, I was so tired the other day, so busy with the balcony etc, I didn't feel like cooking, at all, so went to the (other) supermarket and got one of their delicious salads, they have their own butcher etc in the supermarket, one of the men at the gym told me their salads are the best ever, he was right as well, not cheap but very well filled, it is the same with their poke bowls.

I have my car packed with things for the second hand place, I will to for 9am then they will help me to unload it all. It will not be busy as the schools are on holiday and a lot are away.

I told a lie, we always need a proof of ID with us so I do have a card with me!

        Good morning.

We are going into town this morning.
Really feel the need to get out for a while.
We've only had an hour out this week, that was on Thursday when we went to KFC and farmfoods

Gem, hope you get your phone back.
I keep my debit card in mine as well.
One of the Bro in laws bought a new phone, he'd paid a thousand pounds for it. A couple of days later he left it on top of the car. He'd only just set off when he remembered about it.Luçkily it hadn't fallen off.

Lizzie, if your theory is right about the neighbour and the parcels, he needs reporting.

          Good morning everyone.
I will get back and start posting soon.
Losing this phone seems the final straw and I can't really concentrate right now. We located via the phone finder to the side of a highway. As I feared I have driven off with it on the roof of my car, and it stayed on for many miles. It's too dangerous a place for us and the highways department have looked and say they can't find it.

I will be back later to catch up xx

It could be there but in long grass so can't be seen,
It's not only your debit card but it will have photos etc on , although they will be backed up to cloud I imagine ,
I bet you didn't sleep well last night,
Take it easy today if you can xxx

We have to go to MILs today to take some freezer stuff I got her from M&S and totally forgot to take them out of the freezer on Thursday to take to her,
She's grumbling about it so we will take it and it's done with,
His DS. Will have to take her shopping this week if she wants to go as we will be away.

              Hello again.

I have had a good cry and given myself a good talking to. It's only phone, but I think it really was the final straw for me. Anyway, nothing more we can do. I have ordered a new phone and sim card and a new debit card is on the way.
No nothing backed up. All lost.

Oma going away will do you both good, not least because it is a break from MIL.

Nan2, yes you do need to get out, it's not been the best birthday week for you!

              Your balcony looks lovely Lizzie.

Daisy, I hope OH's appointment and the journey go smoothly today. Your comment about the height of the mri scanner reassured me by the way. I had imagined it to be very close to my face!

This afternoon we are going to friends for tea and scones. Very civilised! We had to cancel with them when things were very unsettled for us a few weeks ago so are looking forward to catching up.
Tonight we are popping round to some other friends. Just for a catch up after tea, not for a meal.

Gem, you do right, a good cry, get over being annoyed with yourself and carry on! I do advise a regular back up of your new phone, very handy!

Enjoy the tea and scones etc, my DS1 is 58 years old today, I am going for coffee soon, he said no cake and candles as it would be a fire hazard!

                  Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Lizzie, that man sounds very unpleasant but I don't suppose they will find out how vandalised the parcel. I often think when people like that what do they gain from it. Why can't they be nice, even if their lives are grim. That salad sounds delicious. Mine was just very basic with what we'd got in the fridge, with a grocery delivery due that day! I hope you got everything dropped off at the second hand place without any trouble.

Nanto, you really deserve a trip out after the week you've had. Hopefully the sun's shining for you as well. Enjoy.

Oma, I hope MIL didn't grumble too much. Just concentrate on your holiday. You need the break. xx

Gem, you must be feeling losing your phone and all that entails is just the very last straw. It's impossible to concentrate on anything when you feel that overwhelmed, so please don't worry about posting if you do't feel like it. Or come on to have a good moan if that helps. It sounds as though the road where you lost it isn't safe to walk along, but if you know roughly where the phone fell off would somebody who is a sensible safe cyclist be able to trundle by in the hope they might just spot it? I know it's a long shot, but all those photos will be hard to replace, plus all the other things, like your list of contacts etc. I'm so glad I've at least helped with thoughts of the MRI. Also if they ask you to hold your breath at any stage it is only for 4-5 seconds. I remember you had to hold it for a lot longer when you had radiotherapy, so this is a lot easier.

Concentrate on having a relaxing time with your friends this afternoon. Getting some respite from everything is important, and really helps. xxx

We had a good drive in to the hospital today. Saturday traffic is much lighter. The hospital was so civilised compared with the usual noise and chaos. OH went in almost straight away, and the doctor did the injection without causing him any pain. We talked to another patient who had travelled a bit further than us, and we commented on how great it would be if the mobile unit could be used at our local hospital. Transport is a problem for a lot of patients, who are mostly elderly. Going home was a different matter. They were resurfacing the long straight road between two villages we have to go through. It added about 20 minutes to our journey, but we were glad we weren't rushing to get to the appointment as the queues in the opposite direction were even worse.

I administered paracetamol, coffee and choccy biscuits to the patient, and he's snoozing, "listening" to the television. I'm feeling really well - probably the effect of my treatment dose of steroids, so I'll make the most of it.

It just been one thing after another hasn't it, I know that feeling and you do get over it but at the time it doesn't feel that way does it ❤️
Enjoy your scone and tea, have a good chat and maybes laugh or two 😍

                    Daisy
I'm pleased to hear J felt no pain I hope he feels better after a snooze,
Good to hear your feeling good a the moment but don't strain yourself xx

MIL was in a good mood ,
I made her a bacon sandwich for lunch and did her dishes and cleaned the top of the oven and work tops ,
B made her bed and got rid of some ivy coming through her back fence ,
                    She seemed happy with that.

She was waiting for the gardener to come and cut her grass , I rang Bs sister and it's next Saturday the gardener is due 🙄

We came home and I fell asleep for 40 minutes ,
Didn't intend to but one minute I was reading my book the next I woke with a throw over me 😁
B said he looked up and I was sound 🤣🤣

Oh Gem, i really feel for you having lost everything. i would be absolutely gutted if it happened to me.
I'm not trying to gloat, but my photos on the phone are backed up Plus they automatically go to the desktop and laptop.
Try to enjoy your catch up with friends today.

Daisy, glad to hear you feel really well, hope your patient feels better soon.

We enjoyed our trip into town, and it was very warm.

Originally we were going to have the bathroom floor tiled, but then we changed our minds, and decided to go vinyl.
Then we said we would have a plain colour, but then decided to go for a pattern.
Looked i quite a few places in town this morning, but no patterns stood out for us.
But we saw some plain black. Talked about it when we got home, and that is what we have decided to have.
Hubby is going to order it on tuesday when he is in town.

Oma, thank goodness MIL was in a good mood today. Did the bacon sandwich help? You must have needed that snooze. Not long till your holiday now.

Nanto, I'd be gutted if I lost my phone as well. I've got my photos backed up - some on the Cloud, some on external drives and some on my old desktop, but my contact list isn't backed up. I do't do telephone banking because I'd be too worried about my phone getting lost. The trip into town was just what you needed, and on a lovely day s well. The trouble is when you're choosing things for the house there is almost too much choice, so I can imagine how hard it was to choose the flooring for your bathroom. A friend of mine has plain black tiles in their cloakroom. They always look immaculate but I think the vinyl would be easier to keep clean, and warmer on the feet in the winter.

OH has snoozed on and off all day. He's been given new eye drops which are much easier to get in his eye - the old gel stuff often landed anywhere but where it was supposed to be. I went and collected Eva from DS2's and spent some time with DIL and our GDs. Always great to see them. Eva has slept ever since we got home. She has a lot of fun with Cooper to play with, but they tire each other out. Needless to say, I didn't get any gardening done. Hopefully tomorrow.

Good morning. Cloudy this morning, but i have put the washing out.

Just after i posted yesterday our next door neighbour came round.
She brought us some homemade bread rolls, and they were still warm.
I think it was like payment, because hubby helped her hubby erect a poly tunnel last week.
It was very kind of her.

                            Good morning ladies.

Nan2 how lovely. Little things like that mean a lot.

Daisy, I hope your OH is recovering from his eye injection now. I'm very glad to hear that you are feeling well

Oma you must have needed that sleep.

Thank you all for your sympathy regarding my lost phone! It has taught me a few things. 1 - never rest anything on top of the car. 2 - back up my phone!!! I often leave my keys on the car when fastening little E into his seat but as I can't drive off without them that's never a problem, sadly it's not the same for a phone. Everyone is amazed that it stayed on top for 3 or 4 miles including around two big roundabouts! We wish we knew someone with a drone to look for it! It's in the overtaking lane of a 70 mph road, near the crash barrier we think, so no chance of anyone slowing down to look for or collect it. Apart from the highways agency, who we suspect didn't make much effort.

This afternoon we are gong to see GD dance in the dance school's show. We have no tickets are they were on my lost phone. I don't think we will have any problem getting in, but I don't know the seat numbers!

Gem that would be ideal if you could find someone with a drone as they can pin the location
I hope you don't have trouble getting in but her dance teacher will be able to help I think.
