Daisy, M is one of my oldest friends, we met when our second children were toddlers. She has known DD3 from birth and was understandably terribly sad. The flowers were very touching and welcome.
The mri is next week. I have had no investigations on my spine since I was 12, which were X rays. All other Drs over the years seemed unconcerned and never offered any investaigations, but this one asked if I wanted an mri (I don't want one, I am quite scared by the idea, but I feel it may be helpful!) No I have never had anything like that. I suppose the nearest is the radiotherapy when you are partly in a small tunnel affair. This is my whole spine from top to bottom. I hate the idea of the tunnel. Others cope though and I will!

I'm glad all is good for your treatment on Friday.

Good to know B is OK again. Jab after effects can be nasty and but don't last long. I have never had any from Covid or flu jabs but OH has.

Nanto, I hope the bathroom work is going as well as possible. At least the weather is dry - those big jobs are always worse when it's raining.

Lizzie, I'm so pleased you're feeling better, and those strawberries sound delicious.

Gem, you must share a lot of memories with your friend M. She sounds lovely. I'm glad you haven't got to wait long for your MRI. I had a whole body MRI last year. The tunnel is quite high so you don't feel the roof is on top of you. My top tips would be get yourself as comfortable as possible before you start because you have to keep still. I was asked if I'd like music and could choose anything. I had Tibetan pipe music - soothing and relaxing. Wear socks because you can keep them on as it can feel a bit chilly, and comfortable undies. I found it fascinating to see the results! Enjoy your aqua this morning and your massage this afternoon. It's good to have a "me" day isn't it.

Oma, I'm glad B is ok now. It's odd that some people have reactions and others don't. Wrap up warm for your shopping. It's lovely and sunny here but quite chilly as well.

OH has gone to his car pal's this morning. He's got to come home early because Eva has a hydro session this afternoon. I'm quite happy to take her on my own, but OH likes to come with me. I'll take Eva out for a short walk this morning and get some washing done - where does it all come from!

I'm late to the party today,its been a busy morning.

Nanto, I hope the electrics are all done and working. Did the electrician have to switch the power for the whole house off?

I've been a busy bee today, with washing, housework and cutting the lawn and trimming the edges. Then after lunch I took Eva for a little walk for toilet purposes and when OH got back we took her to her hydro therapy session. She was in deeper water this week, so had to work harder, but she did very well. We got back about an hour ago, and she's fast asleep. She hasn't even reminded me it's her dinner time. Every time we go there OH gets a headache. I thinks it's the smell of chlorine and it's quite warm and humid in the room. I'd better get on and make dinner!

Daisy, the electrician did what he could. He has to come back to do the spotlights and extractor fan.
The ceiling has to be done before then though.
He only had to turn the power off upstairs.
The tiler rang this morning,to say he will be here at 7.30 tomorrow.

Glad Eva did well at her hydro therapy.
Hope OH's headache has gone now.

Nanto, it sounds as though all the trades are working well together. No lie-in for you tomorrow though. xx Yes, thank you, OH's headache is going. I made him a cup of tea then got dinner ready so he's had time to relax.

We were driving out of our. Street on Sunday and sadly there was two that had been killed,
Next to each. Other so obviously crossing the road as a pair.

I always have a headache when we come out of a hospital, I think it's the lighting it's always horrible.

Having my hair cut and coloured this morning then taking MIL shopping.

Blood test for me this morning, for the mri next week. I go to the NHS centre at the place as my Aquafit pool. They are very efficient and it's far preferable to going to the blood taking department at the hospital.

Good Thursday morning, everyone.

Nanto, will the tiler get the whole bathroom done today? I hope it's all going smoothly. How lovely to see your hedgehog. Do you put food out for them?

Oma, it's strange how some situations affect some people. I don't know why lighting in hospitals is so awful. The waiting area for the Eye Department at our hospital is a huge room, with a very low ceiling and harsh fluorescent lighting. Nobody thought about the comfort of patients who have had eye drops to dilate their pupils. I think OH is getting headaches at the Hydro place because it's very humid in there. Chorine etc doesn't usually affect him, but the two things together seem to.

At least having your hair done starts the day on a cheerful note. I hope MIL doesn't spoil it.

Gem, blood tests are never fun, but having a convenient place to go for them makes it easier. How is OH getting on with the Chiropractic treatment? A busy afternoon for you with little E. Is it tonight he has a sleep over?

It's our DS2's birthday today. He never wants a fuss or anything, but we've got to take Eva over to him this afternoon, so it will be nice to give him his presents and card and see him on his actual birthday.

OH is busy doing odd jobs round the garage and garden. It's a lovely day, so I'm going out in the garden in a minute. There are plenty of jobs to do.
