Nanto, that was a nice surprise from your GS1. I hope he was able to stay and eat with you. I'm sure the first couple or so days of having a new bathroom is the messiest with all the pipes/electrics etc.
Gem, it's good to have some sunshine, isn't it. Were you able to get out and enjoy it?
Oma, I love your new kitchen. It looks very calm and serene. The colours work really well, and that clock is so eye catching. The plaque is a great idea. The gas pipe works have been a nightmare, but could have been even worse. The initial proposal was to close the whole of the main road to our estate for 4 months, with no access. They assumed we could use a tiny tarmac road which was an 11 mile detour to our village, which is one mile away. But to be fair, since they realised what a problem it was and that road wasn't useable they have bent over backwards to work with our community and cause as little disruption as possible. I just hope the new gas pipes see us all out!
Yes, the blood test this morning was in advance of treatment (hopefully) on Friday. I'll speak to the consultant tomorrow. It's usually a fairly brief chat, consisting of him giving me the headline news on the test results and asking how I am, and me telling him I'm OK apart from tiredness.

Morning Nanto, ladies.
Nanto
Your stuck till the bathroom is done but it will be worth it,
I kept telling myself that 😁
Not doing anything today , B had his COVID jab yesterday and for the first time ever he is quite poorly with it ,
Didn't go to bed till 6 as he had the shivers, headache , aching all over and just feeling yuk.
Hopefully after a couple of hours sleep he will be feeling better.
I have done all my housework, Storm and myself have had toast ,
I'm now watching my neighbour over the road taking delivery of a WREN kitchen.
I don't envy them as their kitchen is twice the size of ours so more mess.Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma, love the kitchen, I am sure you are pleased with it. I am having mine decorated as soon as the decorator is free. I am such an indecisive person it takes me ages to choose colours. I hope B is feeling better.
I am waiting for my cleaner to come, I hope she is on her way. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good Tuesday morning, everyone.
Nanto, sorry - I meant DS1, but my fingers didn't get the message. Will your OH's pal go into town on his own, or is it purely a joint outing for them? You must feel you'd like to escape from all the noise and the inevitable dust, but it will soon be over and you'll enjoy a lovely new bathroom. If the weather's nice will you potter in the garden, just to get out of the house?
Oma, poor B. I think it's awful when something that is supposed to protect you actually makes you feel ill. I hope some sleep and a relaxing day help. Do you remember the nightmare poor Tizzy had with her Wren kitchen. I always think of her when I see their adverts. I hope your neighbours have better service from them.
Gem, will your OH have a rest after her chiropractic treatment? I do hope it helps with the pain. Enjoy your lunch with M. You'll probably be glad to relax for a while, especially if the library is busy this morning.
Plant, I think it's very difficult to choose colours when you're decorating. Those little blocks on the sample charts can look so different in a large area, and even tester pots don't always give a true colour. Have you got any favourite colours? Did y our cleaner turn up?
No particular plans for us today. I've got bedding in the wash, so I hope it stays dry and sunny so I can put it on the line. I can't take Eva out until the consultant has phoned. The call's booked for 2 pm, but it could be any time. There are lots of odd jobs I could get on with though.

Good morning, at last I have more energy to the medicine must be working.
It is sunny here, with a bitter cold wind, I have been for strawberries and taken them to GS1 then called for some more on the way home, I am visiting a friend later, I was going to get roses but thought she may enjoy the strawberries, I was talking to my old doctor there, he took an early retirement, it must be 10 or 12 years ago now, he has a son living in Sweden, they have a house there and spend their time between Sweden and being here.
Daisy, I hope the bloods are good for your next treatment.
Oma, the kitchen looks nice, what colour was it! I hope that B feels better today.
Nanto, when do they hope to finish with the bathroom?
Plant, I hope that your cleaner turns up today.
Gem, I hope that the treatment helps S, we have a very good chiropractor in the village, so they tell me, he is Canadian.
I went to the large garden centre yesterday, I don't usually go in the afternoon as it is so busy, I got the cheese etc first, I always get some for DS1 and family, I was walking round, it was very busy, I heard someone say, "hallo neighbour ", it was a lady that moved in the block last year, she still works, younger than most of us! She said she goes once a month for her cheese , plants etc, I told her that is what I do. I got new trolleys for 2 huge pots, I got them oiled when I got home, the plan was to wait for a strong young man to help me move them from the old trolleys, of course I had to do it myself! I managed but felt my shoulders this morning. DS1 was here on yesterday to lower my drying rack, it was hung there 18 years ago when we got the new balconies, I have lost 7+ centimetres since then and as DS2 put it " needed my stiletto heels on to hang the washing out.
