Gem, it isn't long ago I almost chopped my thumb off with a very sharp knife, it certainly bled! I got to the doctor and had it stitched.

We were chatting about the all in one duvets the other week, I read a very interesting article on them at the weekend. They have been popular in the USA for a few years, two young Dutch men were at a marketing fair and saw them, they thought it was a good idea, found investors and started their business. The first year was difficult, after that, a very good business providing them for Europe and the UK. They are very popular with caravans tents etc, also for the elderly, no more changing duvet covers, they come in all weights, sizes etc. I know the supermarket in the village will have them in anytime soon and people are queuing for them!

I will catch up more later, I want to go to the gym.

Gem, ouch for your cut finger.

        Plant, yesterday's lunch sounded nice.

Lizzie, DS going back to his younger days out clubbing.

We are in town this morning, hubby meeting his pal.

I think hubby is planning on going for the bathroom tiles on our way home.

It's a lot calmer this morning, after the strong winds of the past few days.

          Morning Nanto, ladies.

          Nanto
How exciting getting the tiles means one step closer to your lovely new bathroom 😁

          Lizzie
We never thought about that for MIL getting a cover less Duvet,
I'm not sure she would have one though as she doesn't like change,
She still won't use the new microwave her grandson bought her weeks ago.

          How is everyone today?

It's damp and cold but at least it's bright ,
B off for bloods at 9 then I will go over the road to M&S get a few bits for MIL to take on Thursday.
          Nothing much planned after that,

I have a delicate wash on just a few things so not much ironing when dry.
Have a good day ladies xxx

            Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, it will be good to have the tiles ready for the bathroom. Is the plumber doing the tiling, or your OH? It's clamer here today as well. thank goodness that wind has died down.

Oma, thanks for asking. I'm feeling ok today after treatment on Friday. I felt fine on Saturday but very tired Sunday and yesterday. I put it down to the steroids. They give me loads of energy, but then I crash when I stop taking them. The consultant has reduced the dose, which I'm glad about, but I still get a couple of days of feeling useless. I hope B's bloods are ok. Does he get the results quickly?

Gem, I do hope DD3 avoids little E's cold. Is she getting anti-viral and antibiotics all the time? I'm sure they make a big difference, and I didn't catch flu from OH when he was ill in December. I hope your finger isn't painful. Deep cuts can take time to heal, but putting your hand into the washing up bowl is what we all do, and if there is just a blade (I presume there was no handle) it makes it very dangerous. You could have done with the heating being on this chilly weather. I hope the hole outside gets filled in quickly so you can park on your drive.

Lizzie, I hope your DS enjoyed his night out. I keep thinking about the coverless duvets. They would save such a lot of work, especially for big beds. We've got duvalays for the caravan - a duvet and memory foam mattress all in one. They're very cosy. Ouch, you poor thumb. That must have been very painful. I chopped the end of my thumb off years ago, and it was painful for ages. It's a very funny shape now.

WeeGranny, I think having a dog who doesn't like the rain is fantastic. Eva doesn't like rain in the garden, but out on a walk it's another matter entirely! I hope it was dry for you and him yesterday. It's good to have a break from routine during the school holidays. Are you going to do some painting? I love to see your pictures.

No plans for me today. I've got bedding in the wash, so I hope it dries outside. OH is at the dentists.

              Good afternoon ladies.
A sunny windy day here,OH will be blown around the golf course.

Daisy, I hope you are feeling better today.
DD3 does have immuno booster treatments, but not antibiotics, they wouldn't work for a cold anyway would they? They have told her that she would have to go in if she had any sign of cold so I thinks she was just panicking. She knows she will have to go into hospital again at some point, but really wants to avoid it at all costs, especially over the weekend when you seem to be left to your own devices and may as well be at home!

Cutting my finger was entirely my own fault! The carving knife blades are very sharp. I put them in the washing up bowl myself They will be in the dishwasher in future.
An emotional morning at the library. Our lovely manager is leaving (not her choice but that's a long story) This was her last day. She is the only one at the library who knows whats going on in my life and has been so lovely, an incredible support. We will keep in touch, but the library, the Friends group and I personally will all miss her. Some of the Friends came in to say their goodbyes this morning and we gave her a card and flowers.

The hole in front of our house was filled in and tarmacked this morning. I am parked on my own drive again!

Gemini, your poor finger, easily done. I wash sharp knives by hand but don’t drop them into a bowl. I hope your little GS will be better soon so his mother can have contact.

Lunch, in the village hall is once a month, it is a Cook one usually, it was shepherds pie this week and fruit and cake for pud. They have eight tables for eight, small vases of flowers on the table, proper table cloths etc. We pay £5 for this. The excess money goes to charity. Visited an old Guiding friend in a M&Stone home this afternoon, when we left they were just settling down for fish and chip supper to be delivered.

After a dismal start, the day finished up sunny and warm, hope it is good tomorrow.

Not been as windy today and the sun has been shining.
It was quite mild till about 5 ish.

Good morning at the start of a new month.

I was going to make some cottage pies today for the freezer, unfortunately I don't have any room for them.

Hoping the weather is good, i want to change the bedding and clean upstairs.

                    Have a good day ladies.

                      Good morning everyone

Nan2, you will have to eat some things from your freezer to make room You must show us the finished tiling once it's all done.

Aqua this morning and coffee with my friends. OH's monthly treatment which is usually an afternoon one is at 10am this time. It's just the nurse treatment where I wait in the waiting area , so she will go alone and I won't have to miss my class.

Have a good day everyone. Another dry day forecast so washing will be out on the line again.

                          Good Wednesday afternoon everyone.

We were in and out of the hospital for OHH's eye appointment before the stated appointment time. When we got home I made us a coffee and we both fell asleep. I don't know why I was so tired, except that it was a bit cold. I'll catch up later.

I'm glad the appointment was quick Daisy, and hope you feel more rested now.

OH's treatment appointment was also quick, it seems morning may be a better time. She has also collected some oramorph from our local pharmacy. prescribed by the GP, so hoping that will help.
A much chillier day here today.
