    Morning ladies

    Nanto
    That's what I say , it. Gets you out doesn't it ,
    Enjoy your cuppa with DS,

    Lizzie
    What a lovely photo,
Your poor neighbours must hate watching the news knowing what the family are going through.

    Daisy
Getting the rooms back to normal is like when you have been on holiday,
Lovely to go but oh so nice to be home again isn't it.

I bet your Niece and hubby enjoy lunch , what roast are you doing?
B just taken a joint of pork out of the freezer for us.

I didn't get to Dunelm again, I wasn't well yesterday
Not sure what it was but I slept on and off all day,
B said it's probably that I'm tired and it's catching up with me,
    Possible he's right ,

GS came so that cheered me up 😁

    Gem
Hope you all slept well and have a wonderful day xxx

      Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto, apologies for yesterday's assumption. I thought the whole country was basking in spring sunshine! Better luck for today. The cat looks as though he's got hold of all the treats Oma wants to go on Eva's treadmill! Enjoy your trip into town.

Oma, I think you were feeling tired/poorly after your last shopping trip with MIL. It's very hard work for both you and B, plus all the upheaval at home with the flooring and kitchen. I'm glad you rested yesterday and hope you're ok today. It was good timing for GS to call round to cheer you up.

I'm doing roast chicken tomorrow. I usually do a pot roast of topside of beef or a gammon for visitors, but it's more work! A chicken is easier. I feel I'm being lazy but I find cooking very tiring and this is the first time I've done a "proper meal" in the last year. My usual go to is a curry or a dhal which I can prepare in advance. OH will help and we'll do some of the prep tonight.

Gem, I hope you all slept well and are enjoying a leisurely start to the day. I bet the GSs are excited.

Plant, I hope you're ok. Did you decide what to do about your cleaner? I've been wondering how H is and if your GD is happier for her to go to her Dad's.

We've got sunshine again. I hope it's the same for everyone today. xx

Good morning, it is nice here now, but, very cold early on. I decided to go to the next village for a few things, so cold on the bike!!

I got some beef so got a stew in the slow cooker.

Oma, those friends watch nothing but TV from Iran so they see it all going on, whether or not that is a good thing to do I do not know.

I heard from my swimming friend that a couple we have known a few years are going through a bad time, the lady had a tumour removed near her brain just before the lockdown, that affected her eye sight, couldn't drive or ride cycle etc, now she has been diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus. The man is starting with dementia, I noticed that last year, the thing is he still drives, I don't think that is safe really. I got a card for them yesterday, by the way our post goes it will take a week. Then the friend herself has to make a decision on open heart surgery, she has had cancer of the lung twice and half a lung was removed, now she has to make this decision, I am cheerful this morning.

I hope you are feeling better today Oma, you are allowed to rest! Think of yourself, is what they tell me.

DB2 phoned yesterday, they are on their way to Cyprus today for a fortnight, I admire them really, his wife is 81 or 82 and still loves travelling.

On a positive note, does anyone listen to Boom Radio??? It is one of the stations on my speaker app, I love it. DS1 loved visiting my mother, he would go a few times a year, he was saying the other week how she was always singing, she was as well. When I was young the radio was always on, she would listen to Music while you work, whatever came next, then Mrs Dales Diary, I would then settle myself down at 13-45 to Listen with mother!!! When Daphne Oxenford asked, "are you sitting comfortably ", I would answer her!!! That was a few years ago!!

The sun is out now so it will be warmer.

          Hello everyone.

Lizzie, yes I remember Mrs Dales Diary and Listen with Mother!

Roast chicken sounds a lovely choice Daisy.

I hope you soon feel better Oma, GS would cheer you up.

I hope you had a nice time in town Nan2.

Nothing goes as planned around here these days...
GS2 was awake a lot in the night missing mummy and daddy, and feeling sick.
I spent a lot time with him until he eventually fell asleep. Then he woke SIL3 up and he got up with him. He was then sick at 7 and 8, feeling very miserable. We were very concerned it was infectious and the danger to DD3. DD2 who had gone home the evening before had to come back after dropping GD at dance rehearsal and take him home.
He's ok, hasn't been sick again but has earache.

I had a bit of a sleep this afternoon.
          Lovely sunny day here

Oh poor GS , earache is awful , probably that's what made him sick Gem,
It was good of SIL3 to get up with him

It's been the same hear weather wise,
We went to visit. SIL. In the shop to pick a new carpet and I only had a cardigan on , no coat for a change.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the stay xxx

It was quite chilly first thing morning and foggy.
The sun was up early though and it was lovely in town.

Had a catch up and coffee with DS2.

Gem, oh poor GS being poorly and had to go home, such a shame.

Daisy, roast chicken will be lovely tomorrow, enjoy your day with the visitors.

Gem, poor GS2. I hope he's ok now, but such bad timing. I'm sure you were all worried about him passing something on to your DD3. I'm glad you were able to catch up on some of the sleep you missed lat night.

Nanto, you had a good trip into town by the sound of it. Is it GS2 who's just started a new job?

Oma, how nice to go out with just a cardigan. We've been muffled up in coats for months.

Lizzie, your poor friends, what a dreadful time they're having. I think it must be hard for dementia patients to know when they need to stop driving. We have a friend who still drives, rather slowly but perfectly safely, but needs his wife with him for directions because he can't remember routes. I hope your DB2 and his wife enjoy their holiday in Cyprus.

I seem to have been busy today, but not achieved much. It was too nice to stay indoors though, so I went out and pottered in the garden, then took Eva for a walk. I've made some oaty biscuits to have with coffee tomorrow morning, par boiled potatoes for roasties and sorted out a few other things.

Yes Daisy, it DS2 that started a new job.
Have a lovely day with your visitors.

No plans for us today, we'll take the day as it comes.

                    Nanto
Enjoy your day whatever it brings ,
                    Nice. Surprises I hope .

How are you all doing , have you heard how GS is ?
                    I hope he's feeling better.

Lizzie your poor neighbours has had a lot to put up with hasn't she,
Some people are just so unlucky with health ,
It. Doesn't get any better as you age either, harder to cope with.

I have just gave the bathroom tiles a good wash down and polish over ,
B is busy painting the sitting room and dining room doors,

We may get to Dunelm today after having to change plans every day ,
It's not a bad morning a bit dull but dry , hopefully it gets out later , I have a washer full of towels to get out .

Good morning, Gem, I hope that your GS2 feels better now that he is at home and that you managed to enjoy your weekend away, despite the disruption!

Oma, they are friends, not neighbours, they live in Zoetermeer.

Daisy, I hope that the meal etc goes well.

Morning everyone, apologies for not replying to individual posts but I am reading

GS2 had a quiet day yesterday once home. He still has a bit of an earache but no more sickness and feels well. The plan for today was always DDs 1, 2 and the GC to come here for the day and GS2 go home with his mum tonight. It's been decided that as we will mostly outdoors and GS2 keeps distance we can keep to the plan . They will arrive late morning.
They have day passes to everything.
Lovely sunny day we are enjoying the wildlife outside the lodge, whilst preventing the geese from coming in!

                        Have a good Sunday everyone.

Gem, glad GS is feeling better.

Oma, no nice or otherwise surprises today.

Daidy, hope you had a lovely day with you niece.

We has sunshine today, dried a load of washing.

I'm rather late to the party today, but I have read everyone's posts.

We have had a great day with niece and her OH. They are such good company. We all seem to have survived the roast dinner, but the kitchen looked like a bomb site. OH did the clearing up, bless him.

Our next door neighbour popped round with her brand new GD, born 4 days ago (which happened to be our niece's late mother's birthday). The baby was fast asleep, and totally gorgeous. (Sigh)

I'm ready for an early night though, after a busy day. It's an early(ish) start tomorrow for a blood test, and hopefully it will be nice enough to do some gardening when I get home. One of the many nice things about having visitors is that the house is more or less up together, and there are left overs in the fridge. That's two good reasons, even better.

Daisy, glad you had a lovely day. Hope all goes well with the blood test.

Nephew has asked hubby to go with him to look at a car he's interested in.
I don't think it will be pink and sparkly though.

No plans for me, I'll just go with the flow.

Nice sparkly car Nanto, no I don't think he will be picking that colour but you never know 😁

I hope your not long having the blood test, is it at your local hospital?
Did your niece stay overnight ?

                                Are. You home today?
Safe journey if you are xxx

We have to take MIL for a chest x-ray today but first B has. Another tip run then I have to go to M&S for some stuff for MIL.

I don't mind taking MIL for her x-ray but what is annoying is that the primary care where we are taking her is just up the road from SIL 2 and her son has 3 weeks off work so it would have been much quicker for them to take her, plus SIL 1 Is going with her partner today also.
Never mind. We will do it. As usual
