I sorted through some stuff and put it on FB ,
I must have had over 20 replies,

Then my next door neighbour asked if they could have it all ,
There was also a slow cooker and a steamer I was going to put on separately,

They are splitting up and he is moving into his own place next week so looking for stuff,
It's all very amicable, they have lived separate lives for about two years now.

We love gammon also, and yes pineapple does give it a good flavour,
B likes to use coca cola when he does a gammon joint.

I have just stepped out to feed my Robin, they visit every day and asks for some dried worms. Although it is sunny it is very cold. DS and Dil are popping in after lunch.

Plant, lovely to hear about your robins. We buy meal worms for them.

We had a good trip into town. Met up with DS2 for an hour, then went to see his wife who was at work.
It was cold in town,but it was nice to see the sunshine.

All white and snow covered here. It has stopped for now but forecast to snow all day. The golf course is closed and the competition abandoned, OH is not happy about that!
I have aqua booked for this afternoon. Although it is obviously indoor I will have to drive there and walk from the car park so I am thinking I may cancel. I have until 12 to decide.
DD1 is coming to see DD3 today, change of plan from yesterday. They were going to try a short walk. (DD3 cant walk far atm) I don think they will though!
DD3 is staying here again tonight, and SIL picking her up sometime tomorrow. I don't know how she slept as she is still in bed.

We have snow again and it's freezing,

We off to meet DD and SIL and Dorothy and James for breakfast,Not sure if GS and Lucie are coming .

I intend tackling the cupboard under the stairs this afternoon but it depends how I feel.

My lovely elderly neighbour was taken into hospital by ambulance last night,
He's had a water infection but took a bad turn last night,
He is very frail,
B was down theirs yesterday morning sorting the heating and he said Robert didn't look too good,
Two of the grandsons stayed with Chris last night she was so upset.

Oma, does the gammon cooked in coca cola taste of it? Just wondering, because I really dislike the taste of coke. Take care out and about in that weather. I hope you all made it for breakfast. I hope your neighbour is ok. He sounds very poorly and his poor wife must be out of her mind with worry.

Nanto, thank you for the nice cheery graphic. It sounds as though everything went well yesterday. Enjoy pottering and relaxing today.

Gem, poor OH. She does miss her goldfwhen the course it closed. Have you decided what to do about Aqua this afternoon? If the weather's ok a short walk and some fresh air will be good for DD3, I'm sure, and a chat with DD1 will help to take her mind of her worries.

Plant, it's always lovely to see robins in the garden. My OH read something online this morning about needing to care for them and give them support. I don't know if numbers are declining. He 'lost' the item among a load of adverts on his phone. I feel very guilty I haven't been feeding the birds this winter. Last year we had lots of seed 'weeds' growing in the garden and it took a lot of work to get rid of them. We also get rats if they can get at any of the seed. I've now got a structure to put under a feeder to catch falling seed and I'm going to give the feeders a really good clean and see how that goes, but it's been too cold for me to get started.

We've got no plans for today, and are enjoying a lazy morning.

We have a few Robins around , quite fat ones so they seem to be getting well fed here,

Lots of little tits and a wren at the moment,
For a little bird the wren can make some racket 🙄😁

Oma, good news about Dorothy. I bet meeting up for breakfast was good for her as well. Any news on your poorly neighbour? I suppose it's the sugar/sweetener in the Coke that does the caramelising. What awful weather you're having.

We've had rain most of the day, but it hasn't been so cold. It stopped about 4 o'clock so I took Eva out for a quick walk. At least the afternoons are staying lighter for a bit longer. I got back just before 5 o'clock and despite the grey miserable weather it wasn't quite dark.

Our lazy day has carried on being lazy, and OH is cooking trout for dinner, so I'm relaxing!

It was freezing cold here today, and its raining heavily.
Hubby thinks it warmed up a bit now.

Speaking of cooking gammon in cola,GD1 does it that way.
I never buy a gammon joint, i always buy sliced gammon and cook it in the air fryer.

I think it feels milder here too Nan2. Very wet again.

Aqua for me this morning. I cancelled yesterdays partly due to the awful weather plus DD3 being here and DD1 coming in the afternoon.
I'm not sure what's happening with DD3 going home today. They have at last bought a much needed second car, which is arriving today. It's electric and the charger point will be either fitted or at least worked out today. They don't know when do SIL must be there.
Tesco delivery due between 3 and 4, but OH can be here if I take DD home.

Good morning, well, most of the snow and ice has gone, only, our streets are still so bad! I went down to see if it was safe to go out, DS1 told me yesterday not to of course, well, he was right, a man from the housing was here in his van, he said most of the roads are clear only the side roads are still very dangerous. So that is as far as I got! I wanted to go and do the coffee at the office at it is the ladies last workday after 26 years! She has just phoned she said she would come and pick me up as she would like me to take part in it all. I will do my best after 10am. There is a reception for her tomorrow morning so I do want to get there. I may even break a rule and go in the car!

Gem, your DD3 will be pleased with a second car.

I have been thinking, in the fortnight that I have been imprisoned! about independence, when I get round to it I will make a new thread.

We don't get gammon here, I remember my mum putting brown sugar on as a coating.
