    Morning ladies,
It's freezing but bright and dry for a change.

    Lizzie
What a lucky friend getting such beautiful Christmas ornaments,
These are my type of thing,
Are they candle burners as it looks like the chimney pots are open?

    Daisy
Have a restful day charge your batteries up as well as the torch,
Get Eva a light up collar or lead ,
I imagine it was quite scary trying to see where your walking when it's that dark.
I hope J gets the stair carpet cleaned today.

    Gem
Defrosting cars on mornings like today isn't a great job is it ,
Luckily we can put the heating and defrost mode on our car from the sitting room,

    Nanto
Lovely graphic makes you think of summer😁

Phone and door never stopped today,
First our elderly neighbours brought a birthday card for B then our friends dropped one off ,
GS 1 phoned , then MIL although she sounds awful but she wanted to say happy birthday,
Post man knocked with a parcel then Amazon ,
It's not even 11 am yet and it's been constant,
DD coming over with the dog this morning.

In between all that I managed to clean all the insides of the windows up and down and all the mirrors ,
I think we might be going out tonight just us two for a meal.

Oma, they are candle burners, as I say, very popular here!

Have a good day with B! Wish him a happy birthday.

I have just been to take my orchids to the neighbour downstairs, they maybe don't give pollen off, but the fragrance, oh dear, not for me, she was delighted!!!!

Happy birthday to your GD they grow up but you still think of them as those little babies don't you.

          Lizzie
What a shame about your Orchid but if the smell gets to you , it's not best to keep it ,
I can see how the burners are popular they are beautiful.

The hospital are going to test MIL for flu and COVID ,
Not a good sign, I can't see her surviving either, she's not well at all .

Oh Oma, poor MIL. She is her own worst enemy though, not resting for the times she was out of hospital. If it's her time, lets hope she goes peacefully. Not on B's birthday though, and she may yet rally round and surprise us all xx
Very posh defrosting a car from the house!

Happy Birthday to your GD Nan2.

I hope you are taking it easy Daisy

The little houses are cute Lizzie.

Aqua for me this morning and I forgot to defrost my car early so had to wait! I got into the water before the class began anyway.
OH wanted to go to the brand new Lidl this afternoon so we did. We never go to Lidl as it was right across town before this new one opened. A novelty for us!

I will update the Sky thread, but still no internet of course.

Little E is through his surgery. DD was waiting for him to wake so she could go to be with him. I have been checking my phone all day!

Thank you Nan2. I will feel happier when DD has seen him and reported back to us

Lizzie, what a lovely collection, they must be popular to collect.

Daisy, perhaps a spare torch in your pocket, just in case. Shame about the mud on the stairs, easily done.

Pleased that the surgery went well Gem, now hope the recovery goes as well for the poor little boy!

Gem, I thought most cars had that de-frost thing, I know DS1 and DIL has it.. Many years ago, when I was working at the Esso, the AA men would spend their spare time chatting etc, a few I am still in touch with, this is about one of them, he told us that he had fixed something in his car that he could switch on from indoors then when he had to leave for work early the car was lovely and warm, I have never forgotten this and it must be almost 40 years ago now.

Plant they seem to be more popular that when they were first appeared.

Oma, your Mil is such a fighter, she might surprise you yet.

Gemini, I hope all went well with the op for little E. How old is he now?

Board games this afternoon and as usual didn’t win one game. Playing against a mathematician isn’t easy and I am not competitive really.

Plant he is 3. He woke up briefly, was upset (naturally) and went back to sleep. His mummy is with him now. She climbed in to bed with him in recovery him and he fell asleep on her leg trapping her! They have said they cant let him sleep much longer. I suppose they need to do checks.

                              Oma, happy birthday to B.

Nanto, happy birthday to your GD2.

Plant, I don't think I could cope with two torches, with pooh bags, treats container and a lead, but I take my phone with me.

Lizzie, I'd never heard of the luxury of being able to defrost your car from inside the house. But it's something I'd like! I'm sure your neighbour will enjoy your orchids, and better safe than sorry for you.

Oma, I'm sorry MIL isn't very well. I hope she didn't get flu/Covid from last time she was in hospital.

Gem, I've commented about little E on your "Eye" thread, but do hope he's woken up naturally so they can do their checks. If they're ok I hope he will be allowed home.

I've felt much better today. I did most of the ironing this morning, and sat and read for a while after lunch. I took Eva out earlier than usual, and we had a good walk.
