Oma, i can imagine the mess in the fridge.
Glad you had a lovely morning.

    Gem,how dare she.

Its been a dry for a change and the same for tomorrow.
Hoping to get the grass cut tomorrow and do some tidying up in the garden.

Nanto, good luck with cutting the grass tomorrow. It's lovely choosing presents for our little ones, isn't it. Toys are so amazing these days.

Gem, it shows both you and the other lady have excellent taste! It's nice to sit and relax with a cuppa after a journey. People generally are helpful, aren't they. I hope we as a nation never lose that willingness to take a few minutes to sort out a problem for someone else. Have a lovely time tonight.

Oma, I always put the plastic lids on before I put the pots in the fridge - I know how careless I am! How lovely that Lucie could join you all today. Poor Storm, being made to get into a warm and comfortable car!

It stayed dry for us today, and the wind to dry up the garden a bit sprang up and by lunch time it wasn't too bad, apart from the lawn! We got quite a lot done, wrapping up tender plants and moving some of them into the summerhouse. OH moved some of the pot plants that were staying outside into more sheltered positions, while I swept the patio. I also took the leaves off one of the pond plants, so they don't just rot in the water. It was a useful afternoon's work, although there is more to do, and we haven't started on the front garden yet!

OH cooked dinner while I sat and relaxed, but I have just got back from walking Eva - I didn't have time this afternoon. It's gone really chilly outside now, and I was glad I'd wrapped up warm.

            Good morning ladies.

            Feels colder this morning.

Gem, glad you enjoyed the Abba Experience.

Daisy, you got quite a lot done in the garden yesterday.

Our plans for today, is to get the grass cut and clear up the leaves from the silver birch tree.
On Wednesday its the last time our green garden waste bin will be emptied this year.

                So pleased you enjoyed ABBA
                Safe journey home xx

                Nanto
I think the garden waste collection around here stopped tomorrow,
Hope you get the leaves up , they are so wet at the minute.

                Daisy
I don't know how you cope with such a large garden now, the jobs are never ending are they.
Once you get the tender plants wrapped maybe the rest can see to itself for the winter😁

No plans as such today so I will get on with a few jobs like clean the kitchen bin out
Have a good day ladies whatever you're doing.

                  Good Monday morning, everyone.

Nanto, Good luck on getting your lawn cut. I don't know when our garden waste stops - eek! Our bin is full for this week's collection. It sounds as though you won't be going out for a meal today - back to the kitchen again,.

Oma, I hope you find some time to relax today, once you've done the kitchen bin, of course. I never think of our garden as big - but a lot of it takes care of itself most of the time.

It's a lovely bright sunny day today, only 7C at the moment, but it's dried up quite a bit, so we're hopefully on the last lap of sorting out the garden for winter.

Gem, I hope you have a good journey home, and look forward to hearing all about the ABBA Voyage.

Nan2 and Oma, I must check when our garden waste collections stop for the winter.

It is so cold!! It was cold in London this morning, and colder when we arrived in York! Not helped by the fact that the train was cold, then we had long wait at the bus stop for the bus home. We were glad to get in, boost the heating up and make hot chocolates to warm us up! It was bright and sunny, but cold!

Apart from the cold train we had a very good short trip trip to London. I will write more about the Abba Voyage experience in that thread later.

I seem to have lost a post, gremlins again. We had a houseful here yesterday, 4 Gt. Granchildren and their parents. DD made a large amount of food and we just helped ourselves when we wanted it and when there was room at the table. The newest GGC is more wide awake and I had a little chat with him to be a good boy, I am sure he understood. At doctors this morning having a blood test, not sure what it was for, something to do with my drugs.

Gemini, pleased your trip went well and the ABBA show was good.

Daisy much too cold for gardening here for me. I have a gardener coming this week, that will be all before Spring, very expensive.

Oma, I presume Mil is still in hospital. So
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Daisy, we got the gardening done. That will probably be our last cut for now.
Got loads of leaves up,our bin is full. I daresay we will get some more leaves in the garden.

Gem, i think the weather is forecast to get even colder.

                            Morning ladies
                            It's dry but very cold,

You need a gardener now, it's much too much for you to do,
Our elderly neighbours had a gardener there yesterday sorting the leaves and getting everything away for the winter,
First time he has allowed anyone to do it but he's too frail to be out there in this cold and he hasn't the energy these days.
Yes MIL still in hospital maybe out this week.

                            Gem
It takes so long to warm through doesn't it but I bet the hot chocolate helped,
Were the cats pleased to see you both 😁
Look forward to hearing about the ABBA experience.

I have my hair cut and coloured at 9.30 my hairdresser has a new salon just around the corner to my DDs so it's easier to get to just 5 minutes drive,
Her other salon was a few miles away,

                              Good morning ladies, cold indeed!

                              Stay warm in town Nan2,

Oma, the cats were happy to see us, M spent lot of time on my knee You will be all smart with your cut and colour.

I hadn't got a place for tomorrow's aqua class but managed to get a cancellation last night so I'm happy about that.
Library this morning. This afternoon I want to sort out the geraniums. I have quite few in various containers outside in summer, we have one big pot with a lot in. That's too big to bring into the conservatory for winter so I repot them into troughs which fit on the windowsill in the conservatory. A job for this afternoon, unless it rains!

Good morning, it is bitter cold here as well, with showers. I have washing out on the balcony, no showers from that direction so they could dry, at least a little!

GD2 came yesterday, ate here then I drove her home, she was so pleased with the rings, I have just been in touch with the lady to get our name down for a workshop next spring, GD2 will be 17 in February and I promised her I would do it with her when she got to be 17. I went and got a swede as she loves her mashed potatoes with veg. She said "what is that"? I told her we had eaten it before and she loved it, she said " we never have it at home'. I don't think many do here but I love it, she did as well, I dropped her off at home, on the way back I received 3 messages from her, thanking me and what was that veg called that we had!!!

Plant, where I do the coffee they have volunteers for gardening, very popular so I hear.

I have an appointment this afternoon with the physio. I am hoping that the cyst can be drained, again!
