Nan2, our hairdresser used to like to come to us really early, but recently it's been 10 or 11.
I must buy more Christmas cards so I can write mine!

We didn't see the Northern Lights Daisy. I fear the days of successfully drying washing outdoors often are behind us for a while

Oma, maybe you and B need to get out for more drives or something, to prevent you wanting to do more cleaning?! xx
The time has come for MIL to be in a home or somewhere sheltered, but I can understand that she so reluctant, she wants to keep her independence despite the reality.

OH's appointment was OK yesterday just the monthly one for injection and the next months tablets. I hate the oncology waiting room so much, but doesn't everyone? We went to Aldi on the way back.

Little E day, he will be a bit later than usual as he has a hospital appointment this morning.
He is staying over tonight. He will be back here for a couple of hours tomorrow morning anyway, and he loves staying.

Morning ladies

It is like night here and the rain is lashing down,
No signs of it stopping today I think.

I have been to the Drs got appointment for 8.30 with my preferred Dr,
I have had trouble with my shoulder for quite a while it's getting worse,

Certain Movements cause pain in my upper arm,
He's sending me for a scan he thinks it's rotary cuff injury most likely caused by arthritis,
I have had to take paracetamol as after he had me doing all sorts of movements and pressing on it I'm in agony.

We then went to Aldi, pushing the trolley didn't help.

I'm so pleased the appointment went well, I hated the oncology waiting room too,
It takes ages the seats are uncomfortable and you always have that knot in your stomach don't you.

Little E will be excited staying at Grandma's again 😁

Good Thursday morning, everyone.

Nanto, your good morning graphic reminded me of the days when the hairdressers would be half full of ladies having perms, and you could smell the perm lotion a mile off. I hope your Sainsbury order has arrived ok, and you have heard from your Sister in Law about your pub meal. I always try and get an early appointment with the hairdresser, purely because I wash my hair when I have a shower and it saves having to wet it again for cutting. Your DIL's perfume sounds lovely. I like floral perfumes.

Gem, I'm glad S's appointment went ok. I don't know what can be done to improve oncology waiting rooms, but they must be grim. We are lucky because the Haematology area is separate from Oncology and there are just a few chairs in the reception area for waiting and for relatives, and a lot of patients are in and out of the ward every quickly. Most patients look as fit as fleas and a lovely cheerful nursing assistant comes round with tea, coffee and biscuits for patients and relatives.

I bet little E is really looking forward to his sleepover. He's such a joy, isn't he. I hope his hospital appointment has gone ok. Is it for his eyes?

Lizzie, have your DS and DIL arrived home yet? Do they suffer much from jet lag?

Oma, Poor you. Your arm and shoulder sound so painful, I hope the paracetemol have helped. There ought to be motorised trolleys for people struggling to push them. I always get the one that wants to go anywhere but where I push it! What a horrible day it is for you. It's dry here, with some sunshine. I hope our tender plants dry off a bit today because they need wrapping in fleece for the winter.

No particular plans for us today. OH is busy this morning doing a charity audit for someone. I might, only might, tackle the ironing.

Sunny so far for us today, I am not going out, having a sort of lazy day. GD has had to sort out my I pad again.

Oma, I have a very painful tops of arms and find it difficult to get settled in bed. I wonder if physio would help. I hope Mil is happy to be in hospital again.

Daisy, Sounds like they try to make you as comfortable as possible waiting for your treatment.

My I pad had a funny turn again this morning, fortunately GD was home and a few taps put it right again. I am afraid it must be my fault, goodness knows what I do.

Gemini, have fun with your grandson. I remember feeling quite stressed when OH had bowel cancer, fortunately they could remove it in his case.

Hallo everyone, the travellers are home and tired!!! I picked them up at the station here in the village and took them home. They have really enjoyed themselves, they didn't know about the parade Daisy until they saw it was going to take place. They were both tired but hope to survive to bed time! DS doesn't seem to get the jet lag as much as DIL.

DIL couldn't understand the parcel problem either.

GD2 arrived home whilst I was there, she had been with her class to Den Haag to visit parliament! She said they were in a special room with glass all round so that they could see what was going on.

I have worn (arthritis) shoulders Oma, very painful but since I do the exercises etc at the gym they are much less painful, there were times that I couldn't sleep because of the pain.

It is very dull here compared to yesterday.

I got GD's leggings finished this morning, and delivered!

Plant, could it be time for a new iPad? I have never owned an iPad but we did have a tablet and I find the laptop much more user friendly and we never use the tablet. I'm sure your lovely GD doesn't mind putting you right.

Oma rotator cuff is a common complaint and painful.

Daisy it's a big hospital with a big waiting room and every poster mentions cancer! I know they are full of helpful information, but yesterday I felt that word was all I could see. It's my own fault, I took nothing to do when OH went in for her treatment and it seemed to take ages. I can go in for the Dr appointments but not the treatments with the nurse.

I sympathise with your DIL Lizzie, I'm the one who suffers badly from jetlag around here.

DD3 and little E were late for the appointment as the traffic was awful. They did fit them in, but then said as E now has a date for his surgery they needn't have gone in at all. Well no one told them that. DD was a lot later for work than she anticipated.
E didn't get here until lunchtime and is happy playing so we will stay in .
He's excited about his sleepover

Hairdresser rang saying she was able to get here an hour earlier than anticiptated.
