    Morning Nanto, ladies.

    Nanto
Nice when you have a meal ready , no faffing on when you have had a busy day.

    Daisy
I hope you slept well and all goes smoothly at the hospital today.

    Gem
Isn't it lovely how children just play together even when they don't know each other,
I bet he loved his lunch box.
I'm partial to a pomp bear they used to do them in salt and vinegar but I haven't seen them for a long time.

    Well yesterday was stressful,
MIL was in a right mood that woman can make a drama out of nothing ,
She moaned from the minute we walked in the door,
B made her bed and put the bin out,
I did the dishes but was told I didn't do them right so I said we'll do them yourself then.
    But I did them anyway,
I then went up and cleaned her bath out, she's been saying it needs a clean for weeks ,
She has a cleaner goes in once a week , I have no idea what this cleaner is allowed to do as it doesn't look like much.

We then went shopping that's a trauma in itself,
How can one old very frail woman cause so much stress and be so loud doing it.

We finally got home to find our heating not working,
Rang and a young man was out within the hour but it's a new system. and he wasn't sure how to fix it ,
    So someone coming today .

Dog is in the garden he's had his morning treats at least he was happy to see us 😁

Good morning, it is lovely and sunny again. The only problem is when the sun shines in here early morning, oh dear, you would think I never dusted!!! Not to mention the windows I cleaned only last week.

Oma, I hope that the heating is soon repaired. Luckily it isn't too cold. I don't know about cleaners for the elderly in the UK, here they are allowed to only do so many tasks. I do remember after my mum died going through her house, she had a cleaner and a nurse to help her wash etc before she went into a home, she was only in the home 2 or 3 weeks. I remember going into her bathroom, my mother was always spotlessly clean and the bath was a disgrace! I remember asking my sister how on earth had anyone helped my mother get a bath with the bath in such a state, I don't think it had seen water in months!

Nanto, you will enjoy your "ready meal"!

I hope all goes well at the hospital Daisy.

Gem, you will miss little E when he starts school, I remember walking through the shops after GD2 had started school and I still expected to see her walking by my side! I have never heard of pom bear crisps!

I will get to the village and do some shopping.

        Good morning everyone.

Nan2, I love it when we have meal we've previously cooked. A healthier and cheaper version of a ready meal Little E isn't allowed any crisps at home, and we just have the organic veggie stick ones for him. So something like pom bears, then a bun for pud is to him like an afternoon tea at Bettys for me!

Oma, today must be a better day for you! Dogs are like small GC, always pleased to see us

Daisy, I hope you found some good books to buy. It's lovely when cousins get on well.

We didn't hear any fireworks last night, but I'm sure we will tonight and tomorrow. Tomorrow night seems to be the most popular for public displays in this area.
Aqua this morning, then GS2 from school. GS1 may be coming over to spend time with his cousin and have tea with him, but I'm not sure. We just go with the flow around here!

Lizzie, I will miss him SO much, he's my baby He cried last night because he wasn't staying the night, so he is next Thursday!
DD3 had pom bear crips as child, so they have been around a while.
I agree sun shows up dust and smears you didn't know were there!

            Heating fixed for now anyway.
It wasn't syncing up with the smart meter so that's changed, fingers crossed it's done the job.

I have been on the bike to the huge garden centre/food hall, I am not keen as the cycle path is next to the motorway! We have nicer paths! I got what I went for then came home another way, only I have to cross a very busy road, there are lights but hardly time to cross, so I won't go that way again. With my leg hurting I am not as quick getting on and off as I could be. It was 35 kms so I enjoyed it, lovely and sunny, unbelievable!!

I have been to the grower this afternoon for 2 orchids for in here, I got the last ones at the garden centre them remembered during the lock down etc I got them from the grower, they last much longer!! We have a few growers in the area, this one has a small shop and the lady is really helpful. They are full of buds so I hope they all come out.

GD1 just phoned, she said she has deep cleaned her sisters bedroom this morning whilst she was at school!!!! GD2 is busy with exams etc so it was really sweet of her. She was saying it is open day at the high school in Rotterdam tomorrow so she is going to see what she can study after she finishes this college. I have told her they can come here for a meal on Sunday evening, I will go and pick them up and take them back again if they want to come, it will save the cycling through the tunnel in the dark!!!

I heard from a neighbour that one of the sheds was broken into during the night. Nothing was taken, they always get the ones that are down the passage, some one in another flat is dealing drugs from the shed, they remember the shed but not which block it was in!!! That is what I think anyway.

Gem, you must spoil little E!!!

                  Hello everyone.

Nanto, thank heavens for batch cooked meals in the freezer, but what a pity about your window vacuum. I certainly wouldn't want to be without one.

Oma, your MIL excels herself! Although I had to laugh as I was reading "B made her bed and put ..." my mind saw "and put her in it"!
After yet another stressful shopping trip, find out out your heating wasn't working must have felt like the last straw. Thank goodness Storm is happy!

Gem, yes, I put a few books on my Kindle, in the hope they are good reads. GS3 will always be that special baby you cared for when he was tiny. But when he goes to school I'm sure you will still see each other a lot. It is good when cousins get on so well, and on the face of it my GS2 and GD1 are separated by 100 miles and nearly 6 years, but they have a lot of shared interests.

Lizzie, Pom Bears are gluten-free crisps, a bit like Quavers in texture. I haven't bought them for a while but I think they're quite expensive. I know your Grand daughters are lovely young women, but you are also incredibly good to them as well. What a great relationship to have. Is that garden the centre the one you posted a link to some time ago? I think I could live there. But interesting that you got better orchids from a smaller, local grower. I always think that your cycle paths are havens of calm and good road manners, but some of them seem to be busy, noisy and dangerous. You need to keep your wits about you, I'm sure. It must be a bit worrying knowing there are drug dealers working around your flats.

Hospital was slow, busy and a bit tedious today. We came straight home to put some injections into the fridge and then went to collect Eva. Sainsburys are due 7-8, but other than putting the food away, I'm not doing anything else.

Daisy, it was that garden centre, I didn't go in the plant side of it today.

Daisy, we certainly need our wits about us whilst cycling!!! The path I did today is the main path from Zoetermeer to Gouda, I think the schools had just turned out in Gouda, all the young ones on fat bikes with wide tires.

I am sure the drug dealers got the wrong flat, unless one of my elderly neighbours has started growing more than orchids!!!

You take it easy Daisy after your treatment.

As I was cycling on the way to Zoetermeer I pass a water tower, it has been empty for as long as I have lived here. Last year DS1 and DIL stayed in one in Groningen that has been turned into a B&B, now I see they are doing the same to this one.

Lizzie, hope the orchids do well for you.
The water tower will be lovely when its done.

Can't believe we have had a day without visitors.

Gem, how are P and M this evening? I hope the fireworks haven't been loud and scary. We've had a few so far, but with plenty of noise from the television, ClassicFM and YouTube Eva has been ok. She's looking a bit puzzled but that's all.

I felt sorry for the Sainsbury's delivery man. It's pouring down with rain and he was soaked. We offered him a towel but he refused because he's going to keep on getting wet.

My DD has had one of those orchids for a long time and it never bloomed. Then not long after OH died it was covered in blooms! It’s still going strong!
Been a mixed day weatherwise and I think rain is forecast for through the night.
Went to a very enjoyable talk the other afternoon given by Two Spoons who were tea tasters, but now run there own business selling tea to cafes, individuals etc. They made it very interesting and I think all of those present bought some of their tea. I bought their winter warmer which is lovely. One of them lives in Plant’s village.
Got the chimney sweep coming tomorrow morning, so it’ll be nice and clean for Santa! Hopefully there won’t be too much mess!
Glad your appointment went well Daisy, but I’m sure you’ll be glad of an early night and a relaxing day tomorrow.
Hope everyone else is doing well!
                          Night night!

WeeGranny, during the lock down I had one, I never got it to flower again, I got my friend one for her birthday, it is still flowering, she says she puts it in a spare room all the winter then when she starts to water it again, it is full of flowers!

I don't think the chimney sweeps make a mess nowadays, I know the one that did my friends in Delft was very good, no mess at all.

                              Good morning ladies.

Stopping off at the retail park on our way.
Want to go to M&S,Homebargains and Argos.

                                Not. A bad morning here,
Bedding in the wash and I have had a blitz through downstairs,
All the cupboard doors in the kitchen have been cleaned with sugar soap,
To be fair they were not really dirty but it doesn't harm to give them a good going over.

We are out for tea with Martin Clare and Finn today,
I've bought him a few books one is called Finn helps Santa 😁

Having a sit down now and a cup of tea.
Need to go to the range but not sure I have the energy yet .

                                Nanto
Hope you get what your looking for .

Lizzie my DD has a orchid it didn't flower last year but she tended it and got advice from a local gardener and this year it was beautiful.
