It's not till it's down that you realise how much you need the internet,
Little E reminds me of GS1 he would ignore DD for a hour or more as he didn't want to leave😁
They get settled and don't like mummy spoiling their fun.

    Car service went fine,
While B was there I had a long phone call with my sister , we put the world to rights and had a good laugh over MIL's antics .
She said the same you could make a comedy sketch out of it.

    SIL
Has been up and went for some shopping,
MIL wouldn't take anything out of the freezer so SIL told her to starve😁
She isn't dressed won't put the heating on and SIL said she's not sure she has used the oxygen.

Nurses are going in sometime today let them deal with her.

I've put all my Halloween decorations out but it's not looking promising,
I hope the little ones can get around before it rains tonight.

Oma, I don't know how you all cope with the MIL!

Gem, I hope that the internet is soon sorted. Little E must like being with you both!

The election was very close Daisy.

It has been dry all day, rain forecast tomorrow, GD1 is going to Zeeland for the weekend with her bestie!! They have been friends since they were toddlers. The friend is treating her to this for her birthday.

My leg was very painful after doing the windows, they were lovely and clean though, rain tomorrow!!

Nanto, I had almost forgotten I had the Nespresso machine, it was in a top cupboard, I am trying to clear them as I have plenty of space.

I have been to the library so I have plenty to read now, also watching a series on Netflix, I never watch during the day though.

We usually do a very simple trick and treat - a pumpkin or lantern outside is enough - but this year we've cried off. The weather is awful, cold and wet, and without thinking about hallowe'en I booked Sainsburys for 7-8 pm, and we need to have dinner before that arrives.

Anyone want a nicely carved pumpkin?

Oma, good luck to the nurses when they go to your MIL's. Is she likely to behave better for them? I hope she's sensible about getting dressed and putting the heating on - it's a cold day.

I'm just off out with Eva - although it looks like rain again. I think it will be a quick trip round the block.

Really raining here too,I feel sorry for the little Trick or Treaters wanting to go out. As we are going out soon we won't be doing anything. I gave the lovely pumpkin my friend grew to DD3 to take home.

Fortunately we should be able to park close to the cinema doors. I will wear my raincoat anyway!

A bit of a miserable day here! The rain started just as I was on my way home from a walk and it’s almost dark now. I do not like these dark evenings!
Saw my consultant on Wednesday and all is good with my eyes. Blurriness is because I didn’t choose varivocal lenses ( expensive and can cause reaction to glare and haloes) so I need glasses for reading. Asked how long before I should have an eye test and he advised me to get a pair of reading glasses from Tesco! I did and they work! Still putting drops in for another couple of weeks, but it’s amazing the difference in my sight. So pleased I had them done.
GS took me and we stopped for lunch at a pub on the way back. Heard all about life at university and how much he’s enjoying it. He’s even arranged a house share for next September!
There’s fireworks in the village tonight along with a Halloween celebration. No bonfire because the man who always built it isn’t able to do it anymore! It’s a very muddy field and I think it might be a bit wet weatherwise! I shall stay at home in the warm and dry!
Have a good evening ladies whatever you’re up to! X

The rain held off for the trick or treaters ,
Some lovely little costumes, the smaller ones started about 4.30 then the older ones about 6 but none since so we took down the decorations.
It's so cold out but the children don't mind.
B has a big bowl of sweets he will have to eat, I don't eat them so they should keep him going for a while 😁

              WG
Option told me to just buy reading glasses from the supermarket, I have about 4 pairs they are in various bags and bedside draw
GS sounds like he has settled into uni nicely , I'm pleased to hear he is enjoying it.

WeeGranny, your Consultant was good, saying get reading glasses off the peg. I keep a couple of pairs around the house just in case and find they work really well. You must have been pleased to hear that your GS is loving his Uni life. He's very organised, arranging a house share for next September.

Oma, poor B having to eat up all those sweets! It's been raining here off and on, and there's only one house in our cul de sac with pumpkins outside. Have you heard how MIL got on with the nurses this evening? I hope she's ok, and not sent them away.

Gem, with this on/off rain you don't know what to wear. I put an extra layer on to take Eva out, and was too warm.

Oma, I'd take it as no news is good news. If there had been problems I expect your SIL would have phoned. xx

Anyway, you certainly needed a day off.

Good morning. Very windy this morning.
Yesterday we had heavy rain about 4ish, with a few rumbles of thunder.

We are going to Wakefield again today.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

                        Morning Nanto,Ladies.

                        Nanto
It's cold here so wrap up warm and enjoy your day out to Wakefield.

Not a lot to do today, just pop to Iceland and pick up a parcel at mountain warehouse for B,

I think DD will be walking over with the dog but I'm not sure,
My twin nephews are 30 today I still picture them as babies😁

                          Good morning everyone.

Have a good shopping trip Nan2, very windy here all night too.

Oma, I'm glad the rain held off got the tick or treaters near you. It was torrential when we set off for the cinema but had stopped by the time we arrived, I hope it stayed dry and little Halloween celebraters could go out.

WG, it is a relief when our children and GC settle into university life. It's a big change.
My OH wears the off the peg reading glasses you all mentioned. The difference between my eyes is too great for those, so I need prescription ones. Having said that, I never use them! I don't been know where they are, in a handbag somewhere I'm guessing.

We LOVED the Downton Abbey film. We phoned an order in to the Chinese takeaway when the film finished, then drove round to pick it up on our way home.
Quite a lot of childcare recently, and more tomorrow, so today is a rest day No plans so far.

I'm a bit late to say Good Morning!

Nanto, I hope the weather is ok for your trip to Wakefield. I hope it included a pub meal as well.

Oma, it's quite scary how old the next generation is, but I hope the twins have a good celebration. Any news from MIL? Enjoy your restful day - I'm sure you need it.

Gem, your evening out worked perfectly, with even the weather being kind to you. Glad you loved the film. Enjoy your rest day, ready for tomorrow. xx. Is your internet fixed yet?

I had a bit of a lie in this morning, and I'm less tired today, thank goodness. We're just going to have a quick sandwich and then go to see how our GDs and their Mum are getting on at a craft fair. Their stall looked very good, so I hope they've sold a lot. We'll probably stay and help them pack up. GD1 has her crochet work for sale, GD2 is a good artist and has made some really cute Christmas cards which her mum has printed on art paper in their shop. They look very professional. DIL makes jewellery and has a very nice display of necklaces and earrings.

I have just had a nana nap,
Only 30 minutes but feel better for it,

We have a Chinese tonight courtesy of M&S 😁

I hope it was a good turnout at the craft fair,
I think people do buy more at a winter craft fair all the little things for Xmas gifts.

B is trying to clear some more leaves in the garden it's a constant battle, it will be no better tomorrow.

I haven't rang MIL today yet I will wait till later ,
I think I have had enough for now of her.

Our Friend James had a nasty fall yesterday and has chipped two ribs and broken One.
He was putting a picture up above the sofa and instead of getting the step ladders out he just stood on the sofa,
Well of course he lost his balance and fell hitting the side table.

SIL was there yesterday putting a new carpet down and he could have put the photo up then.
Dorothy had to go ring two neighbours to come and help him up.

He's as you imagine in a lot of pain but hospital said all they can give him is painkillers, they don't do anything with cracked ribs now just let them heal on their own.

Daisy, yes the internet is fixed, albeit in temporary way! They said they still have to get to the bottom of where the problem lies (with cables somewhere) but have done some patching to get us online!
Have fun at the craft fair

                                Oh poor James Oma
I do recommend the film. It rare to have a smile on your face throughout film, but I feel I did last night.
