Good Thursday morning, everyone.
Lizzie, I'm pleased your thumb is healing. I know from bitter experience how painful it can be. It\s easy to blame something on, say, an allergy, especially if you are prone to allergies anyway, but thank goodness your eye is feeling better already. Your neighbour's face cream sounds very special. I hope the sun shone for your bike ride. I haven't seen Quark or Fromage Blanc Battu in our supermarkets for ages. But I think the choice of varieties of most fresh foods has got worse, while ultra processed food items seem to get bigger every week.
Oma, I hope you MIL is able to go home today. It would be much easier for MIL to use the microwave to reheat meals, and put the crisps and cakes somewhere else.
. I hope your blood test results are ok.
Eva doesn't go too far away from me, and I keep well clear of the boggy bits. I constantly bribe her with treats when we're out. Cooper is our family's messy drinker. I put dog towels down in the utility room when he visits, otherwise the floor gets dangerously wet and slippy. Eva tends to lap against the far side of the water bowl and splashes the wall.
I'm hoping to get a load of washing dried outside, but we've just had a shower of rain.

Good afternoon, I will try to catch up a bit while the boys are busy
We have no internet so able to use my phone 4G only.
Oma,I love Durham. I hope it goes smoothly if MIL does go home today.
Are you less tired today Daisy? Aqua yesterday was our regular Wednesday instructor ,they all have their own days. She worked us VERY hard. I was glad my friend was coming to me so I could stay put once I was home.
Lizzie,I hope your eye is less sore.
No Nan2 yet!
All go here with the boys ( OH at golf) They love each other and get on very well, but the 6 year age gap can make it difficult

Gem, you have had a busy day. Was it fine for OH playing golf today?
Nanto, I hope you've been "nice" busy. I love the pretty fan.
The line of washing didn't dry completely, but at least the wind blew some of the creases out of several pairs of trousers. OH is quite hard on his clothes so he keeps old things for messy jobs. Two pairs of scruffy trousers really need throwing out, but he won't part with them, and one had a broken zip and the other a hole in a place where a hole shouldn't be for decency's sake! With my limited sewing skills I'm trying to repair the hole. Darning it would be easy, but it would look very odd, so I'm trying to patch it from the inside and then hoping to weave the remaining threads into the patch. In other words, cobbling it together! I did the patch today. I'll see how the next stage goes tomorrow.
It was quite chilly when I took Eva out, and I was very glad of a cup of tea when we got back. It's getting dark very early now.

Good morning, if I lived closer Daisy I would patch the trousers for you!!
We actually had the sun yesterday afternoon, I managed to do the windows outside, it took me twice as long as usual, but, I got them done. My neighbour M walked by with her dog, I asked her in for coffee later so she came, I have a "new" Nespresso and she asked how it worked etc as she fancied one, I told her I had an old one in the top cupboard, why I save things I do not know, I told her if it worked she could have it, I got it out and it worked! It was GS1's when he had the labatorium in Botlek. She asked what I wanted for it, I told her nothing so she rushed home and got jars of face cream etc for the GD's. I had to go out later so called at the Lidl and got her some cups to start off with.
Later in the evening I received a message, telling me all about the Nespresso machine etc and what a good neighbour I was, I had to laugh as it wasn't for me but she was telling her daughters!!! I told her it was a good thing she wasn't saying anything nasty about me
.
We had to vote on Wednesday, up to now no one I have spoken to is pleased with the outcome!

Daisy, it was just little jobs busy yesterday.
Then I had to break off to put the asda delivery away. Hubby helped to put some away, but he doesn't always put them where they go.
Why do men like to hang onto clothes that are well past it. Hubby has a couple of the shirts he wears for really dirty jobs. They are so thin you could read a newspaper through them. Don't get me started on shoes.
Going to change the bedding and clean upstairs.
I think rain is forecast about 12ish so should be able to get them out for a bit of a blow.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning ladies.
Early check in due to a three year old staying the night
Daisy, I think the days of drying washing outside will be over for a few months very soon !
Nan2 my mum used to complain about my dad not wanting to throw clothes away and saying there was plenty of life in them
Oh dear Lizzie, not a very successful vote if people aren't pleased with the outcome. Very good the neighbour was saying nice things about you when she sent the message by mistake
Still no internet. Sky are aware of the problem, which they say is outside our property. They hope to get to it today. I hope so too.
Hairdresser at 10, then I leave at 10.30 for my 11 am aqua class.
DD should be here by then, but if not little E will be fine with OH.
This evening we are going to 5 30 showing of the Downton Abbey film. It finishes at 8 so we will pick up a takeaway on our way home.βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Morning ladies
Daisy
Well you know what my B is like with gaffer tape and slippersπ«£
Some t-shirts are not fit for the wash but he hangs on to them for doing jobs in, he never does though.
Gem
I want to see Downton too but we never get around to going,,
Enjoy and your take away xx
Lizzie
Just as well she wasn't calling you π€£π€£
I wonder how many people have done just that , oh the embarrassment π
Nanto
Men never put things in cupboards like we do , B can't understand why I feel the need to sort it out all the time.
It's a bit dull and damp here also.
Well we got MIL home yesterday but it was a nightmare
At one point I wanted to take her back or leave her on a church doorstep for them to take her in.
SIL was in phoned to say MIL could come home could we go for her,
Bearing in mind this sister lives up the road and was there with her DS and his car,
But for some reason we had to go,
Got all the way there and she couldn't come out till oxygen had been delivered and set up,
So we waited and waited eventually they rang and SIL went to let them in and get sorted,
Got her home and all hell broke loose ,
She hated the size of the machine and the tubes hated where they had put it ,
She was sending it back wasn't going to use it etc.
It was no bigger than an overnight suitcase and tucked down the side of the sofa.
Finally got her over that and settled put her TV on and it said suspended due to unpaid bill,
So I rang other SIL who deals with it she said it's direct debit,
Then she looked and Virgin hadn't taken a payment since end of July for some reason,
So B had to ring them go through it all and pay the outstanding bill to be reconnected all the while she was shouting obscenities about she pays her effing bills they all effing idiots etc, in the background,
He couldn't hear properly so I had to tell her to shut up.
Then she didn't want the meal I had put in the oven,
Luckily I had also taken her a beef sandwich so gave her that with a cup of tea,
Apparently it wasn't beef it was horse meat, but she ate it.π
Eventually got her settled by this time it was 8.45
We hadn't had anything to eat and we were worn out,
We came home and opened a tin of soup.
I was in bed by 10.30 I was drained.
The car is in for a service this morning so his sister will have to deal with her today, I've got the dog also so can't go.
I hope I get my dues in heaven considering I haven't throttled her yet π₯΄Im not fat just 6ft too small

Good lord Oma, she's lucky someone hasn't strangled her, and you are top of the suspect list!!
We have intended to see the film since it came out. I think this must be the last week as it's only on once a day now.
Little E playing happily with his cars and garage. He's not keen get dressed, but his mum will be along in a while so it will be her job

Friday greetings, everyone. It's dark, pouring with rain and chilly. No way can I use the word "good"!!
Nanto, I hope you got your bedding dried outside. I've got a load of washing in the machine, and I think I could have put it outside to wash, it's raining that hard.
Lizzie, from what is being said here, it looks as though your election was a close-run thing and you will have a coalition. Well, the neighbour's mistake over who she was messaging proves (not that you needed proof) that you are a fantastic neighbour and friend. I wish you lived nearer - my repair to oH's trousers won't be very pretty, but they are just for scruffy jobs.
Oma, I'm so sorry, but I had to laugh at MIL's antics yesterday, and so did J! If it was a script for a play it would be hilarious, but as it is, I think. you and B deserve medals for your tolerance and patience, and your dues in Heaven. I hope the car service goes ok.
Gem, I hope little E got dressed ok when his Mummy arrived. He was having too much fun to leave off to get dressed for you. I hope your internet is restored today. It's such a nuisance when it goes down. I should think you'll be more than ready to relax in the cinema this evening and enjoy the film.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has to smuggle worn out clothes out of the house! OH's wardrobe is full to bursting with things he hasn't worn in years, and he hangs on to scruffy clothes until they literally fall apart. Oma, I think of B and his slippers everytime I see anything held together with Gaffa tape.

Daisy,I got little E dressed before I left for my aqua class. OH said DD arrived not long after. He wouldn't speak to DD or give her a hug as he didn't want to go!
Another energetic and exhausting aqua session, all this exercise must be doing some good!!

Oma, what a nighmare with MIL.
Gem,hope they get internet sorted.
Lizzie, that was king of you to give your neighbour the coffee machine.
I got the bedding out for nice blow. Brought it in when the weather looked a bit iffy.
It just needed airing off a bit.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
