B did right Oma, your MIL should be in some kind of care home, as for the oxygen, does she still smoke?

A lady opposite here died last week, she had COPD and should have been on the oxygen etc, but, she wouldn't stop smoking, her choice!

MIL stopped smoking a few months ago so they should allow her to have it at home now.
I'm going to ask when I go in this afternoon.

She should get it at home then, I hope she does, for all your sakes!

I have just done one of "yours" and cleaned all the doors in the hall!!!

          Good Saturday morning, everyone.

We've got hazy sunshine, so we're going to carry on with the gardening while we can. I'm going to take the tomato plants out of the troughs and OH is on weeding duties. I'll catch up with posts later. xx

              Both very lovely looking Lizzie

              Don't overdo it Daisy!

Good for B, Oma. What makes her own DD think you should go to the hospital rather than her??!

Little cutie has gone home. He had a bath this morning, did some painting and lots of playing. DD and SIL arrived just as he finished lunch.
              Nice dry day here.

Well, the family thought I should have a family day for my birthday, so that is what I have been doing today. DS cooked a delicious casserole and DD supplied the veg. GS1 and his family came which H was very happy about. GS3 (who you met in B’ham) was able to come too. So I have had a lovely family day.

Don’t forget the extra hour in bed, I am already a late riser now.

Oma, I don’t know what to say about the situation with your Mil, whatever the medics arrange, she will not co-operate. Well done for standing your ground with her. Do you think she gets frightened when she is on her own and her breathing gets bad, if so, perhaps she should be thinking of going into care.

Gemini, so your little cutie has gone home now after a lovely day with his Grandma.

Daisy, I didn’t think it was warm enough and dry enough to spend time gardening, although the sun did pop out for a short time and GGS managed to find a dry spell to go out in the garden and kick a ball around.

Lizzie, Oh yummy, that pie looks delicious.

                      Morning Nanto,Ladies.

It's a nice bright but cold morning for us,

                      Lizzie
B makes a lovely Dutch apple cake and a German apple strudel cake both delicious 😋

What a lovely time you have had and to see the Children too how nice,
They really love you don't they 😁

                      Nanto
You know it's never a quiet day at yours something or someone will turn up.

I bet E is already waiting to see you again,
He is a darling isn't he,

We went to see MIL in hospital yesterday she was fine apart from her oxygen levels she isn't poorly as such.
She was confused about what tablets they were giving her ,
So off I trot to see the ward sister and get some information,
They sent for the pharmacist to come down and go through them with her while we were there,
I also asked for a assessment for oxygen at home so they have requested a visit from the respiratory team who should come today or tomorrow,
She hasn't smoked for 3 months now so the sister said she couldn't see why not but it's not her decision.

I then had to go to the shop downstairs for some sweets for her ,
B's younger sister is going in today and his older sister on Monday so unless they send her out and we have to collect her we have two days off.

We are out with the family for brunch this morning.

Good morning Nan2, Oma and everyone else.

Oma, enjoy the brunch and well deserved time off your MIL!

No plans here until late afternoon when we are going to DD1's for a family celebration of GS1's 13th birthday last Tuesday. He has requested take away pizza so we have placed our orders.

GD was 16 earlier this month, during her mock GCSE exams. Her party was last night in the garden with event shelters , lights, music etc. As DD said, there are advantages to having an event organiser and musician as parents

                          Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Yesterday turned out to be quite busy. I'd just finished emptying one trough of tomato plants when it started to rain, so we decided to use the green tomatoes and make chutney. I'd got all the ingredients in ready. It turned out to be a bigger job than we'd expected and the 2 hour cooking time given in the recipe was nearer 4 hours, but we made 10 jars, so I hope it's ok! While it was bubbling away on the hob I took Eva out for a good walk. There were lots of people and dogs about with it being half-term, the week-end, and by then it was sunny again. We're not used to so many distractions.

By the time we'd had dinner I was ready for bed!

It's nice and sunny this morning, so we can get on with the garden jobs.

Nanto, I hope your day is nice and relaxing.

Plant, what a lovely early birthday for you.

Gem, I hope GS enjoys his birthday get together, and his pizza. Did GD enjoy her late birthday celebration? Her GCSE mocks were very early. I don't know when our GD1 has hers, but I think it's after Christmas.

Oma, enjoy your family brunch. I hope your MIL can learn to use the oxygen at home. Otherwise, I think this cycle of panic and readmission to hospital might just keep happening.

Lizzie, the white kangaroo is amazing. Is it albino? We get white deer in the Forest, but they're not albino. It's a gene mutation that runs through the herds and crops up now and then.

Daisy, I dona't think it was an albino as there were a few of them.

Daisy, I think the mock exams were ridiculously early! I will find out today how the party went.
                              Sunny here too

Cold here now. The sun was shining earlier, so i put a load of washing out.
Started looking a bit iffy here about 20 minutes ago. Just got the washing in and then it started raining.

                                Oma, enjoy family brunch.
