    Falls do knock your confidence,
I bet you got a telling off from your DD😁
It's just been on the news about the red health warning with the heat ,
Will it be anywhere near you?

    Gem
I hope the timing works then you are not backwards and forwards picking people up,
    Enjoy your Aqua and reflexology.

    We have the dog unexpectedly,
DD having a proper roof put on her conservatory and they turned up unexpectedly this morning,
Lots of banging and doors open so Storm is safer with us .

We did intend going to a few door places later but it can wait for another day, there is no hurry.

B did the porch roof for me , he wanted to hose the bottom of the drive where all the dust is on the road from the work that was done ,but realised there is a piece missing from our big hose so he has had to go to B&Q for one

      Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, those two little birds have reminded me to update the news on the maternity ward - I'll do that later.

Oma, you're a glutton for punishment doing heavy cleaning in this weather. At least it should be cool in Iceland. Or is it? (We haven't got any local branches.)

Gem, your day needs split second timing! I hope it all goes to plan and OH doesn't have to wait too long for her scan and blood test.

Enfys, Your gardener will appreciate your thoughtfulness. It's hard to watch someone else work, isn't it. I'd much rather do things myself, but it isn't always possible, especially at our age, so we have to gracefully accept the help and relax. Accidents, falls etc happen so quickly and unexpectedly, so I can understand your DD keeping an eye on you. I keep saying I'll go to do the shopping, but having it delivered is such a convenience, even with the bizarre substitutions. It's certainly getting hot today!

Plant, I hope the hospital trip went well and they are pleased with your progress.

Our hospital trip this morning went well. We didn't have to wait long. OH is now "watching television" (having a doze, really). As always he feels drained and a bit light headed after the injection. I quiet day should help. It's very warm here, 27C at the moment and forecast to be 31C this afternoon. I'm glad I watered all the garden pots last night.

        Hallo everyone, Daisy, Wednesday???

It is still very warm and will be all this week. I have been to do the coffee, I made a chocolate marble cake early this morning as a treat for the men!!! It went down very well!!!

Oma, do you ever relax and think " the house is for my pleasure" and not the other way round??? It took me years of therapy to realise that, honest it did, now I realise what a fool I was!

I have been to have my eyes tested, all is fine, so I hope the headaches are from the allergies!

I am going to the pedicure at 4-30 as my toenail needs a look at, the young lady has 15 minutes over a few times a week for people like me!!!!!

DS1 is on his way to Dortmund for a few days for work, then, they leave on Friday with GD2 for the UK, Chris Isaak concert (I am jealous) then Harry Potter studios , Oxford etc etc. They arrive home 10 days later then make the same journey a few days later for Wimbledon!!! I am not jealous about that though!!! GD1 goes to Greece on July 1st for 10 days with her friend, it is all go. I asked how they were getting to the airport, the friends parents are taking them then DS1 is picking them up when they return, they are going to Zakinthos.

I did some shopping on my way home so I don't have to do that, it is only a 5 minutes bike ride to the pedicure, in the same building as the gym.

Oma, we’re on an Amber heat warning here, it’s currently 31 , I’ve just been outside and it’s unbearable. There’s no air it just feel hot and heavy. So I’m in the lounge, fan on, windows shut and curtains drawn and it’s feeling ok. Plenty of ice in the freezer so it’s fine. I really don’t like it though 😎

We are just back from surgery having my leg dressed again Called at bedding shop and chose a new bed. Bit of an effort but DD and SIL did all the arrangements, I just tested it, very difficult with bad leg. It has been obvious for some time that I needed to do so. I am hoping to get back in my bedroom soon but it has a step up to get into my bedrooms.

Enfys, gardening is a bit of a no no with this heat, personally I don’t feel it has been as bad today. Just keep that oven off.

Daisy, pleased the hospital trip was not too long, pleased to hear OH is having a nap.

Oooo Plant, a new bed. Hope it gives you some good sleeps.

Daisy, glad OH is ok. I have kept meaning to ask you how things are in the maternity ward.

It hasn't been as warm as i expected today.
Apparently the temperature tomorrow will be higher.

Haha. Well it will be Wednesday the day after tomorrow. I'm just a bit early.

Enfys it certainly was hot today. My phone says 31C and the garden thermometer said 32! But the weather ap on my phone also says the light rain will stop in 15 minutes! You're well organised with the curtains drawn, the fan on and plenty of ice.

Plant, buying a new bed always feels a bit of a gamble. I'm sure you've chosen well, but we've made a few mistakes over the years. I hope your new one is extra comfortable.

Nanto, I think it was quite a lot cooler and more comfortable for you today. I was glad I didn't have to go out anywhere this afternoon.

                  Good morning.

Its forecast to be a lot warmer today.

We are going into town. We'll part company when hubby meets his pal.

I have fresh salad stuff on my list and a few other bits.

Take care ladies in the heat.

                    Morning Nanto,Ladies,

                    Nanto
We were just saying we will have salad today , it's too warm to cook anything else,
                    Enjoy your look around town.

                    Plant
I hope your new bed is very comfy ,
Like Daisy we have had some bad ones over the years ,
But at one time you didn't lay on them to try did you, not like now it's encouraged you test them out to get the right one.

                    Daisy
You can never depend on the weather app can you ,
We have had the same blasing heat and sun and the App tells us it's raining 😏

It's hospital visit day for us , but I need to go to M&S for golden kiwis , MIL loves them .
It's already very warm isn't it.

Oma, I expect the Kiwi fruit refreshes Mil’s mouth, I haven’t had one for some time. I presume the golden ons are sweeter.

I have had my bed for a very long time, I was going to change it anyway before I had the accident. My DD and Sil took me to a bedding shop on the way back from the surgery having my leg dressed. I am at the hospital today, not sure who I am seeing. Managing, with DD’s help o get into the shower, quite an effort, I am very nervous.

Plant , I'm sure you are nervous after that nasty fall ,
I imagine you are very cautious now,

Yes the golden kiwis are much sweeter ,
We are just back from the hospital ,
She ate them as soon as we went in.
It's very hot in there , they have the windows open and fans going but it doesn't seem to be helping much.

Hello everyone, a bit late for good morning!

I hope you find the shade in town Nan2.

I hope you are not too long at the hospital Plant, and that your leg is healing well.

I feel for those of you down south in the weather Red Zone. Its bad enough here! Take care and keep cool.

All my plans went smoothly yesterday, then after my reflexology GS1 and I just chilled out together all afteroon.

Library this morning. There is no air conditioning and it gets so hot. I left after an hour. I had done most of what I could do anyway, and it was just too hot for a voluntary role!
I have my massage appointment this afternoon. I am not looking forward to the drive in this heat. I have had lovely break at home with the fan on though, so will start off cool!
OH is on the golf course, a competition. I can't imagine how they are coping with that

Hello, everyone. I'm a lot too late to say "good morning", but I did try earlier, but got interrupted.

Nanto, salad sounds the best idea in this weather.

Oma, yes, the weather app can tell you some big porkies! Golden kiwis sound delicious, especially in this weather. Would your MIL enjoy chopped up and chilled melon or water melon? I don't understand why hospital wards don't have air conditioning, and only small opening windows, if any. When it's hot it must be uncomfortable for the patients, who probably don't drink enough water anyway, and very hard for the staff with those awful polycotton uniforms. Perhaps it's not so bad if they can wear scrubs, if they're allowed to.

Gem, how did OH get on with the golf competition today? Was there a breeze out on the golf course? It must have been stifling in the library this morning. I hope the drive to your massage appointment isn't (wasn't) too unpleasant. Does your air con just need regassing or is it a more serious problem?

Plant, I hope your hospital appointment went well and your leg is healing. I can understand you being nervous in the shower though. Have you got grab rails or a shower seat? That might help you feel more secure. When does your new bed arrive? Will you get new bedding as well?

Our garden thermometer (in the shade) reads 34C. I was glad to get my hair cut this morning. OH had someone come and sort out an electrical problem with his kit car, but otherwise we haven't done much. A few days ago I got Eva a cool vest, I thought it would be useful for hot days in the caravan. You soak it in water, squeeze out the excess so it doesn't drip and it helps to cool the dog down. This afternoon the daft animal went out to sunbathe! She came in panting like mad, so I put the cool coat on her. She lay on the kitchen tiles for a few minutes, stopped panting, and went outside again! She's back inside now, and asleep.

My DIL1 is on holiday in Portugal and it's "only" 27C there!

Well the temoerature has certainly ramped up today.
It wasn't too bad when we first got into town, just before 9.30.
When were coming home a couple of hours later,we were thankful for the air conditiong in the car.

Daisy, we haven't done a lot either.
Hubby, painted one of the garage doors yesterday, and he is doing the other one now.
Fortunately,at this time of day,our garage is in the shade.

Oma, hope you have a good visit with MIL.
