It's not comfortable sitting when you are cold and it takes ages to warm through doesn't it,
    Hope you won some games.
    Was lunch nice?

    Gem
You are right sitting around would bring on other problems,
I find when my hip and back is hurting just getting up every 30 minutes and having a shuffle round helps ,
It is painful getting up sometimes but stops you seizing up.

Oma, the new washer has had a good workout then.
Our flush whatsit on the upstairs loo broke about 3 weeks ago
Hubby had a spare new one in his plumbing gear.

Wasn't expecting any visitors, but sis in law and hubby arrived about 4ish.
They said they were only having ½ an hour. They stayed for 2½ hours.
We always find plenty to talk about.

Plant, you've had a busy day, but I hope you're all nice and warm again now. I think if somewhere is a bit on the chilly side it gets to you when you're sitting rather than pottering round.

Oma, hopefully all your domestic gremlins have now had their fun in your house and will leave you in peace now.

Gem, how are you feeling after your massage? I hope you didn't get stuck in heavy traffic going home. You're right about the gardening, it will have to wait for the weather to improve, although it was less cold today.

Lizzie, your doctor is doing a good job, being so thorough. I hope the shingles heal up quickly.

Nanto, My OH is the same - he's usually got just the bit you need when something breaks. He keeps a lot of stuff I think is rubbish, but it often comes in handy, like it did for you today. I'm sure having good company is good for our well-being, and your sister-in-law and her OH must be good company.

My day didn't go as planned. Dog training was cancelled because P, the trainer is ill, poor lady. I hope it's not the same lurgy that my OH has just had. So I switched my day round and cooked a chicken and vegetable casserole for mid-day, gave the kitchen a good clean and took Eva out for a walk in the afternoon.

OH has a hospital appointment tomorrow morning. He has had a sort of mole under his eye for a while. The first time he was referred to the hospital he didn't even get an appointment with a doctor. Eventually he went back to the GP and started the whole process again. It's only been about 2 years, but tomorrow he sees an actual doc at the hospital. We've no idea whether it's just a consultation (they photographed it a some months ago) or actual real treatment. Fortunately it's the local hospital, so we haven't got to trek into Southampton.

          Good morning.

Daisy, hope Oh's appointment goes well.
Hope the dog trainer is better soon.

My hubby has his annual MOT at the clinic this morning.
          No other plans for today.

The weather is supposed to be milder today, hope it is.

Dinner is chicken and bacon lattice, some form of mash and veg.

Asda shopping coming between 9 and 10.

            Good morning everyone.

Those teddies are having fun Nan2

I hope OH's hospital visit goes smoothly Daisy.

Little E day today. No golf for OH as there is a big competition on, so the ladies can't book their normal Thursday spot .
We have no plans so we shall see. It's dreary weather though and half term so things are busy, so we probably won't go out .

I hope everyone is well today.

              Morning ladies,
Damp this morning but not so cold,
The scrap man picked my old washer up at 5.30 this morning so that's out of the way.

              Daisy
Hopefully J gets a proper consultation today and treatment plan one way or the other.
Hope the dog trainer hasn't succumbed to this horrible virus, has J stopped coughing yet?
Ours is going a bit each day.

              Nanto
Hope Hubby's MOT is quick and you get a visit free day, although it is good when they are good company.

              Gem
Have a lovely day with E , I'm sure he won't mind staying in ,
Will S not be meeting her golfing pals for lunch instead of golf?

We off to MILs soon with food , we haven't taken any for weeks being poorly but she's managed ,
His two sisters have stepped in and made her stuff,
But she complained it's not the same as ours, fancy telling them that, so ungrateful she wants to think herself lucky they did step in.

When is Easter this year? Anyone have any idea I never know .

Oma, Easter is late this year, Easter Sunday is April 20th.

It is "warmer" here this morning, well, +4 is warmer then -4!!

My doctor phoned yesterday and she has had to contact the specialist digitale as it isn't an emergency, I should hear today or tomorrow, it is easier at the moment, but, last week it was completely gone then returned again.

Daisy, I hope all goes well for your DH.

Gem, enjoy your day with GS3.

I am going to get cleaned through, well, that is my plan.

I'm far too late to say "Good morning", and it's much less cold but bucketing down with rain.

Gem, if your weather is half as bad as ours, I doubt S would be playing golf anyway - everywhere is soaking wet again. I hope you're having a good day with little E.

Nanto, how did your OH's MOT go? Hopefully everything was ok. It's all very well having regular check ups, and I know it's the sensible thing to do, but I do think they bring their own little worries beforehand.

Lizzie, +4C sounds almost tropical after the last two or three weeks of minus temperatures. Let's hope the shingles are getting better again, and/or the specialist will have some advice for you.

Oma, I hope you haven't had any more domestic catastrophes today! Was your MIL pleased to see you and grateful for the meals you took her? I agree - you'd think she would be pleased B's sisters had cooked for her while you and B were poorly.

I'm hoping our dog trainer hasn't got the same lurgy as J had. H'es still coughing occasionally, usually going from one temperature to another. But he's back to normal otherwise.

The hospital was very efficient. OH saw the consultant dermatologist who explained that the growth was a Seborrhoeic Keratosis, and completely harmless. It had grown in length (like a little wiggly tail!) and had been interfering with his vision and catching on his glasses. But the tail has dropped off!! leaving something that looks more like a mole. The doctor says his body is fighting it off and it will probably shrink further until it leaves a slightly grey-ish patch. So nothing needs to be done, thank goodness.

We stopped in the hospital cafe for a quick coffee and ended up talking to a lady who said she was 88. She mentioned she'd left her dog in the car and was telling us about her (the dog). She was a beautiful border collie and the owner was saying where she walks her - my goodness, I hope I can walk that far at her age! Anyway we had a lovely doggy chat and she ended up saying thank you for the company. We went on to the garden centre nearby to get bird seed and socks.

Socks are the bane of our lives - they either leave marks where they grip too tightly or fall down under your shoes, but I found some in the garden centre recently that are perfect - ladies' and gents' versions. Talk about first world problems! But it doesn't take much to make us happy.

I got wet walking Eva this morning, and then again at the garden centre, and it's still pouring with rain. I hope Eva doesn't want to go out again today, but I'm not holding my breath.

Sorry I am so late to the chat, after a busy morning, I sat down and promptly fell asleep, not good, I have a muzzy head now. After my busy day yesterday I must have been tired.

Daisy, shame your doggy class was cancelled, I hope your instructor hasn’t got the dreaded virus. Like you I am having a problem with socks. Just bought two packets of navy and black longer ones and both too tight.

Oma, you are certainly giving that washer a good test. Your Mil apparently prefers your visits and food but doesn’t stop her being unpleasant at times. At least you stand up to her.

Lizzie, Pleased to read the shingle spots are not as bad, perhaps your doctor will be back to you soon.

Gemini, A day at home with little E sounds good.

                      Good evening ladies.

Plant, a rest day after a busy one is a good idea.

I'm so glad your OH's growth was nothing to worry about Daisy. We had better weather than you today!

Lizzie, you are keeping them busy with your shingles!

Oma, so rude of MIL, but probably not a surprise. She is very lucky that you all look after her so well.

A lovely day with little E. The sun came out and it was actually very mild today. We all went to the duck pond, armed with duck food, then to the preloved children's toys and baby equipment shop. E choose small toy and played with it a lot today. Then to the bakers shop and home. It was nice to be out. This afternoon it rained torrentially for a while. We were glad we were home!

Daisy, i'm so pleased all was well for J.

Nurse was happy with hubby this morning.

Gem, glad you had a lovely day with E.

Oma, MIL was her usual charming self again.

Lizzie, you'll be glad when the shingles clear up again.

Plant, you must have needed that sleep.

Weather was a lot milder today. Sunny this morning.
Like Gem, we had some heavy rain this afternoon.

DS1 called in for a cuppa about 11.30. Him and hubby started working on something in the shed.
So he stayed and had dinner with us.

Plant, I hope you can sleep ok tonight. You must have been tired after lunch and needed a rest. I'm glad I'm not the only one to think most socks are unwearable!

Nanto, glad your OH's check up was ok. What a nice surprise to see your DS1. I'm sure he appreciated the chicken and bacon lattice pie. Are DS and his Dad making something in the shed?

Gem, what a lovely time you had with little E. I bet he was excited feeding the ducks. Then getting a toy and cakes must have felt like the perfect day to him. He'll sleep well tongiht after all that excitement.

I was right. Eva did want her afternoon walk, despite the pouring rain. I was pleased it was milder though.

Getting wet three times today has tired me out! I've just finished the Sainsbury's order for tomorrow morning, and I think I'll have an early night and try and finish the book I'm reading.

                          Sleep well, everyone.

Breezy this morning, mild again though.

Hubby's pal rang last night. He's not 100% better but he's getting there. He wants to meet up with hubby this morning, says not getting out is really getting him down.

No plans for me, just a few jobs to do.

Pork chops for dinner. Probably have some baby potatoes and veg with them.

                              Good Friday morning, everyone.

Nanto, it's much milder here as well, but cloudy and wet underfoot after yesterday's rain. It will do your Hubby's pal good to get out for a while. They obviously enjoy each other's company.

I've got no plans for today either, but after Sainsburys have been I'm going to get on with some much-needed housework. Unless, of course, there's a better offer. It's too wet for gardening unfortunately. I think OH is going out for a list of things from places like Screwfix and builders' merchants.

I hope everyone is waking up to a good day.

Nan2 I hope your hubby's friend is on the mend, it sounds promising, he must be worried about him.

Daisy, I hope you get a better offer than housework

I have a free day. GS2 is doing something with friends today so he came on Tuesday instead. OH will be playing golf this afternoon.
I need several birthday cards and some general shopping from Tesco. If I can't get the cards I want there I will go to the card shop in the village.
My turn to cook so I'm going to make chicken casseroles, one for tonight and one for the freezer.

Mild here. I hope you all have a good day.
