    Good morning everyone.

Nan2 that sounded a nice meal and social afternoon.

    Hard frost here this morning.

We need to drop the kittens off at the vet at 9.30 and collect them around 1.
I should be fine to do the school run for GS2 as usual, but SIL is working from home and on standby in case of any delays.
We have to use the vets the cat rescue use so it's a half hour drive. In future of course we will use our local vet .
They are being remarkably playful and good natured considering they can't have any breakfast.

      Morning ladies

      Nanto
A busy day yesterday so a deserved quiet day today.

      Gem
I hope everything goes well with the kittens,
They probably just think breakfast is late 😁

Storm has had his treats and now asleep at my feet right next to his comfy bed , but no prefers my feet🙄

I'm going to give my kitchen cupboard doors a good clean today , I haven't been up to it these past two weeks,
I like to keep up with any grease that may have gotten onto them.
B said we have hardly cooked how can they be dirty , he has a point but I will feel better when they are done.

SIl wanted to book for Sunday lunch for us all but we wouldn't be up too it and my mouth is too sore so will do it for next week.

      Hope everyone is ok xxx

        Good Friday morning, everyone.

Gem, I'm sure P and M will be ok, but you will feel happier when they are back home. Perhaps that's common with animal rescue places - use their vet. I would have preferred to use our own vet when Eva was spayed, but we had to take her to the rescue centre's vet. Have you worked out a system for keeping them apart when M is ready to play before his sister? S must have been so pleased to be out on the golf course!

Nanto, what a social whirlwind, and so exciting to see the house your niece and her boy friend are buying. Is it a modern house? Enjoy your quieter day.

Oma, don't do the kitchen cupboard doors if you're tired. Just a quick wipe over will probably do. I'm sorry your mouth is still so sore, you must be fed up with it. Storm loves your feet much better than his bed! xx

I've just had a hectic hour - all the bins around the house needed to be emptied, and then the sacks put out for the binmen. I also did next door's as they are away. I was just doing the kitchen bin when the phone rang, and I spilled all sorts of stuff onto the kitchen floor. It was the heating engineers asking to rearrange the service booked for today. I'd just got back into the house when Sainsbury's arrived early, so took that in - just got to put everything away now, then I'll get breakfast, hopefully.

Gemini, I hope all goes well at the vets, your little girl will be a bit sleepy and will need a lap to cuddle up on. Pleased to hear you enjoyed Macbeth.

Daisy, a bit of whirlwind start to the day for you. I expect you were a bit worried when you found OH was not in bed. We have had the same husband and wife window cleaners for years. Not too bad a job for them as we live in a bungalow. Sil or DD make them a hot drink.

Nanto, It is nice to hear young folk are getting on the property ladder. My GD2 and her partner have just moved into their first house.

Oma, I am sure your cupboard doors don’t need cleaning after a couple of weeks with not much cooking. I hope you feel up to Sunday Lunch with the family soon.

Kittens home safe and sound. Moses pretty much as normal, Poppy quiet and avoiding us. Hopefully she will feel a little happier in time. OH will have to be solo nursemaid while I go for GS2.
He is a naturally loud volume child, so I will have a word on the way back about toning it down a bit!

            I'll check in again later.

So pleased they are safely back home ,
I'm sure little E will be extra careful and quiet after your chat 😁
He looks so cute in his glasses doesn't he , how's he doing with them is he still happy to wear them?

              Daisy
That was a mad dash just as well you were home for the delivery,
I'm sure you got a fright when J wasn't in bed, I'm used to B getting up during the night,
              We usually up together 😄

              Plant
It's reassuring when you have the same people for years ,
We are the same I don't know what we will do if our window cleaner retires.

GS been for lunch , he's just gone and taken Storm home with him saves coming back later.
I got my cupboard doors cleaned ,
I then cleaned the filter out on my washing machine ,
It's right at the bottom behind the kick plate , nor easy to get too.
Not to bad really I found a 5p in there and one of GSs guitar plectrums ,
How that got there I have no idea.

I suppose I should clean my washing machine filter out although I had all my appliances cleaned not long ago.

Our niece and her boyfriend both own their own houses. They have both sold them and are buying one together.
The house they are buying has a shared drive so we wouldn't buy it.
I know not all shared drives cause problems, but some do.

Gem, hope the kittens are home, and hope all went well.

Daisy,be careful or you will meet yourself coming back.

Nanto, that's exactly how I felt this morning - in danger of meeting myself coming back!! All is clam and serene now. It's lovely to hear about youngsters buying houses these days. It's out of the question for such a lot of young people. A modern, very small two-bed terraced house down here would be about £240-260,000, out of reach of a lot of young couples.

Gem, so pleased to hear the kittens are back home. I'm sure tiredness will catch up with M eventually, but it must be reassuring to see him so bouncy. Poor little P. I expect she was under anaesthetic for much longer than M so it could take longer to clear her system. I'm sure the vet will have given them pain relief as well.

Oma, at least you found money in your washing machine filter, even if it was only 5p. Was GS1 pleased to see you after not being able to see you last week?

Plant, are your GD2 and her partner settling down in their new home?

Oma it was GS2 today not GS3. The 2 year old is not as noisy as the 8 year old
He was as quite as it was possible for him to be. I think the cats appreciate the extra quiet now he is gone
Moses is completely fine and poor Poppy is getting there.

Oma we haven't cleaned that filter for ages. I wonder what we would find?!

Good morning. Doesn't feel as cold this morning.

Oma, I cleaned the washer a few days ago, but hubby does the filter.

Gem,hope the kitties are fine this morning.

We are going to Wakefield today.

Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

I hope you have a good trip to Wakefield Nan2.

No hard frost as there was yesterday morning, but I think we are forecast some colder weather soon.
Kittens seem to be eating well and Poppy much more herself. It's just restraining Moses' boisterousness around her now! He can go outside from today , but she has to stay inside for a week or so. We will let him race off some steam in the garden later, although I know he will miss her company.
No weekend plans for us, as we want to be around for the kittens.

                          Have a good Saturday ladies.

                            Nanto
Enjoy Wakefield no doubt you will be having a lovely lunch out 😀
I don't think I would buy with a shared drive either , to many risks of disputes etc .

                            Gem
It will be strange for poppy when Moses is outside and comes in with all these strange smells on him she can't get to yet.

                            Daisy
It's so hard for the young to get on the property ladder prices are so high , I think that's why so many are waiting later to get married than they did in our days.

                            Plant
The filter on most machines is right at the bottom , not something you should be attempting,
You have to sit on the floor and put towels under to catch the water ,
If you want it doing get GD to do it , plus it's hard to turn the cap to get to the filter.

It's so dark and dull out ,
We have a man coming to check the tumble dryer, between 9-10
I have only had it a couple of months and the door has dropped you have to lift it slightly to close it.

I'm not sure id DD is coming this morning she probably will apart from that a free ish day.

Good morning everyone, it was a bitter cold wind yesterday, luckily the wind has dropped, it is still cold though!

I won't start on house prices here, how the next generation can afford to buy, or rent, I do not know. There is at least a 10 year wait for a rental, GS's 2 partners daughter is still living with them, 3 years now with a young child, it looks like another 3 or 4 at least. I hear so many worries etc when I am doing the coffee, they are told to get an urgent form and think they will get the first house, no way, it takes years!

I want to get some alterations done.

Gem, I hope all goes well with the cats, a young neighbour has 5 0r 6 cats, they never even go out on the balcony.

I will get the alterations done.

                                Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto, have a lovely day out, but wrap up warm!

Oma, how are you and B now? I hope your mouth is less sore and you can eat properly. I hope the man fixes your tumble dryer - you need it this weather. It will be nice for you to have a catch up with your DD. Does she bring Storm with her?

I can't do the filter on our washing machine - OH always does it - and you certainly need towels at the ready. I agree, we would never buy a house with a shared drive or access. And we have never bought leasehold either.

House prices are a nightmare, and round here a lot of private landlords have sold, meaning there are more people chasing ever-more expensive rental homes, but the supply of properties available has gone down. Your GS is so lucky to have his flat, but the situation for young people who don't have family help is dire. Lizzie, it's sad to hear that the situation is no better in the Netherlands.

Plant, yes, I agree with Oma - the filter is very hard to get at. Hopefully someone can do it for you. It's horrible weather, but are you getting signs of spring in your garden yet?

Gem, pleased to hear the kittens are doing well. Moses will be calmer if he can run off his energy in the garden for a while.

Lizzie, have you got a lot of alterations to do? Do you enjoy that as much as making something from scratch? Keeping so many cats in a flat must be hard, but I presume it's not safe to let them out with traffic and everything. There was a lady in the flats where my cousin lived who had two cats and she had a sort of cage fixed outside her window, so her cats could sit out there in the sunshine. It was as though they had their own personal balcony.

It's dark, dull and damp here. I think OH had a better night - he's still asleep. No plans for me, I'll just go with the flow. Plenty of things I could be doing, but I fancy a lazy day!
