    Good morning everyone.

Nan2, I would always be in favour of a pub meal

Plant, it sounds as if little H is settling well, and enjoying her swimming too!

Daisy, you did have a productive day. I suppose dogs get a bit stiffer, like the rest of us. I know cats can suffer with arthritis as they got older, making it harder for them to groom themselves.

Oma, I have bit of a love-hate relationship with my varifocals! I hope you get the glasses sorted soon.

Library this morning. GS1 this afternoon. The aim is to get him back into school, working up to being there full time. Not today though for some reason.

      Morning everyone

Its quite foggy here at the moment.

      Gem
Do you think now he can here he will be more responsive to school or will the gaming console still have that pull for him,
Its so difficult for you all , you can’t really give advice can you.

We were talking to MIL yesterday about this,
She thinks Finn is too clingy with Martin and he should be a bit stricter with him.
We told her under no circumstances say anything to Martin
Its their child their choice , she said well they are making a rod for their backs,
Its their backs their rod and he’s still a baby,
Its ok if they ask for your opinions otherwise say nothing .

      Nanto
Enjoy your pub lunch , saves the cooking and washing up 😁

      Plant
Im so pleased H had a good day , she’s a very easy going child isn’t she ❤️

I have opticians Again at 9.40,
Im sitting with a heat pack on to try to loosen up before I go , it’s worse on a morning ,
I don’t want to take pain killers they make me drowsy and I’m tired enough,
I will take some when I get back .

Hope everyone is having a good day one way or the other and feeling better those that are under the weather ,
Gem is your cold developing or just snuffles? Xx

Oma, very wise words regarding MIL and Martin. We just have to keep our thoughts to ourselves unless advice is sought!
I think GS does want to get back into school. I hope so anyway! DD told me yesterday he wouldn't be going today, something about things not being set up yet.

Cold isnt too bad, just a bit snuffly and slightly sore throat, but not bad.
I hope the pain eases for you as the day goes on.

Good Tuesday morning, everyone. It looks like another dull, overcast day for us - but at least it's dry.

Nanto, is this your local pub you're going to? I agree, I'd never say no to a pub meal. It's great to have a break from cooking, and thinking what to cook as well!

Oma, that's very good advice to your MIL about Finn and Martin. Fin's still a baby, as you say, and Martin is a source of security and comfort to him. Where's the harm in that. Some children never have that sense of security and love. I'm so sorry you're still in a lot of pain. Roll on Friday and the Physio appointment. Take care. xx

Gem, fingers crossed your cold doesn't get any worse. There are some horrible bugs about. It sounds as though GS's school are putting various support measures in place for him - I hope so, anyway.

I'm going to go and do some shopping today - my list has been growing and I've been putting it off for a while. OH has someone coming this morning, so it's a good time for me to be out.

          I'll catch up again later.

Oma, Good advice to Mil, does Martin have more to do with Finn? I hope you have more success with getting the right glasses.

Gemini, what a sweetheart your GS3 is, he loves his GM. I do hope GS1 is confident about returning to school.

Daisy, I know you are not a keen shopper, I hope it goes smoothly and you find what you need.

DD, Sil returned safely late last evening, he has just been in with 6 bottles of wine for me, good wine for £5 a bottle! I am sure they are looking forward to seeing H later when she returns from nursery.

Martin absolutely dotes on Finn and Finn is very much a daddy’s boy.😁

Ideal time to be out of the house when OH has a pal calling ,

Been to Opticians had yet another eye test and decided to go for distance and reading glasses , so had to choose a frame for the reading glasses

Had eye scan again and she insisted on putting eye drops in so she could see the back of my eye.
Ive had two bleeds in one eye and one in the other ,
That one I know of as it’s been there years it’s with my diabetes, the two new ones she said could have been caused by the change in my BP drugs or a strain even blowing my nose.
Anyway I have to go back in two weeks to have it checked again.

I was there almost 2 hours going from room to room getting different tests, back and forwards to waiting room etc
Then I had the long walk back to the car.
on the plus side I got £55 pound back from them .

Im ready for a Nana nap that’s for sure 😁

Another busy day for me. I went to do some shopping and as usual I park behind DS2 and DIL2's shop, so always call in. DIL was on her own and having internet problems, which causes all sorts of difficulties, not just card payments. So I stayed and dealt with a couple of customers while she was trying to get it fixed. It looks like they need a new router, so that will be a couple of days I suppose.

Then I went round the town, partly to have a browse, and I got a 2025 diary, a new lipstick, some cards and a few other odds and ends. As always I got fed up before I'd really finished my shopping! I got home about 3 o'clock so took Eva out for a walk immediately and then swept up a load of leaves from the side path and in front of the house. It's a good job the garden bin is emptied tomorrow as it's now full!

I don't know what I've done but the knee I hurt months ago is painful tonight.

Oma, your optician is looking after you very well, even if you were there such a long time. How was your back with all the getting up and sitting down in 'funny' chairs then having a long walk back to the car? Did you get a Nana Nap?

Plant, I'm sure you're pleased that DD and SIL are back home, and no doubt the wine will be very welcome.

Good morning everyone, Daisy, you did well with your shopping!

Oma, I hope your specs are soon ready for you and that your sight improves with them.

It was a lovely sunny day again yesterday, I decided to get the windows done, I had to wait until the sun had gone from the front ones, they are all clean and shiny now. There is a window cleaner comes once a month, not expensive really, €25 for both sides, my neighbour has had him a while, she was telling me that more than half of the people in the flat have him, he has been to ask me, I don't mind cleaning windows, in fact, I enjoy it! As long as I can do it myself I will do it, it is always more work to do the ones indoors as I have to move all the plants etc.

I then went to DS's on the bike, it was lovely going, whilst I was there the sun went, it was much cooler on the way home. They were telling me about the UK and the pub lunches, how cheap it is to eat out in the UK compared to here. I agree with them! DIL had been to London the day before they left for the UK, she was showing me photo's of a gala dinner she had attended in Greenwich for the Royal Navy, their table was just a few feet away from Princess Anne, she had quite a few photo's, she was surprised that there was hardly any extra security, they had to show their passports and invites, the walk straight through.

I have circuit training later, I hope it doesn't affect my butt this time.

Good morning Lizzie and all who follow.

Had a lovely pub meal yesterday, friends went with us.
Said friends invited us to theirs in the evening.
It was quite mild and we sat outside watching fireworks.
                    Made a nice change.

                    Lizzie, I like Princess Anne.

Oma, that was a long visit to the opticians, but they were being thorough.

Daisy, hope you have an easier day today.

Haven't decided what dinner is yet.

                      Good morning everyone.

A meal out and fireworks later is nice day Nan2. We didn't see any at all this year. I usually look out for them.

Oma, and Daisy, wishing backs and knees well again.

Good to kn0w you are well stocked up with wine now Plant

It must be expensive to eat out there Lizzie!

It is the kittens second jabs this morning. We take them back to the Rescue, rather than our local vets, as this second part is already paid for. I have sold my mum's once-worn black Pavers shoes on Vinted, so will drop those at the box on the way home.

This afternoon I plan t0 visit my friend and ex neighbour, T. He phoned me a few days ago to tell me he had had yet another hospital stay and was now in a nursing home for respite. I'm hoping he will soon be able to return home. I will go to see him at the nursing home this afternoon.

I hardly dare switch on the TV, in respect of what the news on the American election may be

                        Morning everyone
I slept quite well last night , pain woke me a couple of times but I managed to drop off again,
It doesn’t seem as intense this morning, fingers crossed it’s on the mend.

                        Lizzie
gosh €25 euros sound a lot to me but you live in an apartment and I suppose things are more expensive where you are.
We pay £5 for both front and back of the house plus the front & back door.
Our window cleaner uses a extendable brush and I think it’s deionised water no chemicals and dries crystal clear.
Be careful at training this morning.

                        Nanto
I like princess Anne, she doesn’t get the credit due to her ,
I read the other day that she is recycling her mothers coats and wearing them herself.
Good for her rather than wasting money buying more 😁

                        Gem
Hope the kittens take their jabs well.
Poor T hasn’t had a good time of it lately has he. I’m sure he will be pleased to see a friendly face.

                        Daisy
At least you got a few things while shopping, hope they get the internet sorted , it’s a inconvenience when it goes wrong especially for a business.

                        Plant
Pleased DD is home safe and a nice gift for you all that wine😁
I bet H is excited when she sees them 😁

B off down to Leeds today.
He is going to fit a key safe on the inside of GSs garage to put a set of spare keys in.

GS has managed to lock himself out twice and DD has had to travel down late at night to let him in .
The garage is empty he doesn’t use it so not locked .
B will take him and Lucie out for lunch before he comes home.

                              Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

Lizzie, I hope you get some sunshine today to show of your sparkling clean windows. A lot of people in the UK are grumbling about the price of pub meals, but all costs have gone up and if pubs don't put their prices up as well they will go out of business. I think it's worth every penny when someone else has supplied, cooked, served and washed up a perfectly decent meal. I like Princess Anne as well. She kindly asked a body guard to move so I could get a good photo of her at the New Forest Show one year.

Nanto, how lovely you are making the most of the mild weather - it's a blessing at this time of year. Have you decided on dinner yet. I'm going to make a chicken casserole.

Oma, it's good of B to go and put a key safe in for GS1, and hopefully if he uses them he will remember to put them back in the safe. Fingers crossed that finally the pain is easing off. Please be good and don't risk making it worse again.

Gem, I do hope the kitties are ok with their injections. Is that the last ones? I bet the rescue centre will see a change in them - I bet they've grown quite a bit already.

A usual Wednesday for us. OH has gone to play cars with his Last of the Summer Wine pals. Eva and I have got dog training this afternoon. I'll take her for a little walk later - my knee's not too bad but I don't want to make it worse.

I'm so glad I swept up all the leaves yesterday as it's rained in the night.

Oma, hopefully you are on the mend.
                                Safe journey for B.

Lizzie, 58 euros seems a lot for windows cleaning.
The price of pub meals has gone up, but so has the cost of living.
We never complain about the prices of meals out.
                                For me, it beats cooking.

Daisy, hubby decided of thin fries, egg and beans for dinner.
