Quiet day, GD1 is making a cake with H, GD2 still in bed fighting the virus, her OH looking after her. I was late up and had a quiet morning. Weather very dull but dry. I am hoping GD1’s other half is going to do a small job for me but no sign of him yet!

Nanto, where are the vouchers from? Are they from your shopping?

Gemini, a quiet day for you playing with your kittens? How is GS1 after his op?

Oma, what a shock V is going to have seeing what state the house is in.

Daisy, sounds like a busy day for you today if it doesn’t rain.

Plant, GS1 is fine thank you. Still finding things loud but that will pass. The kittens are very funny and keep us on our toes

Fish and chips for tea tonight!

Lizzie and Plant, the vouchers are from doing online surveys.

The lady on the till in Asda had never done one of the vouchers before.
She soon got into the swing of it,by the time she finished, she was an expert.

        Gem, glad GS1 is ok.

I didn't get the turkey from the farm shop,as i didn't want to have to order it.
We got a large turkey crown from Asda, they are easier for carving.

My plans for this morning didn't go to plan at all!! The dog food company always puts up the order they're doing the deliveries on their FB page. As usual we were near the end and this generally means sometime after 11.30. I'd just posted this morning when the van drew up and suddenly I had two large plastic trays of frozen dog food sitting on the garage floor! So I had to set to and empty then defrost the chest freezer. I haven't done it for ages so there was a lot of ice to melt and scrape off, and a big puddle of water to mop up as well. By the time I'd done that and played freezer tetris to get 24 kg of dog food in it was lunch time. Then I had a little nap, which got longer than usual, so the gardening got left.

I took Eva out just before it went dark, and saw another lady walking her dog. We had a bit of a catch up, so it was really dark when we got home - luckily before any fireworks started.

Finger crossed I can get out in the garden tomorrow.

Gem, my OH thought it was Sunday as well!

            Good morning.

Oh dear Daisy, trust the dog food to come early.
I want to tidy the drawers in the big freezer, hoping I've got some room for some homemade ready meals.

            No plans for today,as yet.

We had a lovely carvery dinner yesterday, so having a smaller meal today.
Just doing a few chips, birds eye cod fishcakes and beans.

              Good morning everyone.

              That's a beautiful graphic Nan2.

The best laid plans eh Daisy!

This afternoon we are going to Vue cinema to see a streaming of Phantom from The Royal Albert Hall, which I am looking forward to.
This evening two friends are coming round for a drink and catch up.

Despite having sofas and their bed downstairs, the kittens are now sleeping in the corner between the bathroom door and the banisters at night. It can't be that comfortable. Our bedroom door is next to the bathroom and they seem to go up there at night to be close to us. OH moves them to go to the bathroom during the night but I come downstairs to the loo!

                Nanto
We seem to be on the same wave length with meals another one I love is fish cake and beans 😁
If B wasn’t making a roast tonight I think I would have had that .

                Daisy
Isnt it typical when you plan something and everything works against you 🙄
Its done now , next time plan to defrost the freezer the day before delivery 🤣🤣

                Gem
You are typical cat mummy , rather go downstairs to the loo than disturb sleeping kittens 😁
enjoy your cinema afternoon and catch up with friends.

I keep meaning to ask has the situation with GD and creepy boy settled now?

                Plant
how are you today , how is GD is she any better?
Is it tomorrow H starts the new nursery?

                Lizzie
I was reading yesterday that some charity shops in Cornwall are not taking any more donations for a while
They can’t get rid of the stock pile of unusable clothing items, so have no room.
I think it had something to do with the recycle companies.

Well yesterday afternoon in my wisdom I decided to lift the ironing board off it’s hanging rack behind the cupboard door and lift the steam tank iron out of the cupboard and do some ironing.

Really really bad idea , I am suffering this morning
Getting showered this morning I just wanted to sit on the bathroom floor.
If I had done that B would have had to get the fire brigade out and get a block and tackle to get me up🤣🤣

I cleaned my teeth sitting on the loo then it was a carry on getting dressed ,
What I should have done was put a dress on rather than trousers , but I’m dressed that’s the main thing ,
B is calling me his little crippled onion 🤣🤣
Im not fat just 6ft too small

                  Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I love that beautiful, serene swan. I hope you find room for your home-cooked meals in your freezer. Ours is a chest freezer and I stack the dog food on one side - apart from bags of bones which are always awkward shapes. Then keep what I call serious joints of meat in a basket at the bottom. There is a method, but it doesn't look that way! I like fishcakes and treated us to some Thai salmon fish cakes the last time the fish man came. They are so quick and easy to cook and are really delicious. A proper treat.

Oma, what were you thinking about putting the ironing board up etc. Please try and take it easy today, and definitely no more ironing. I had to laugh though at the thought of the Fire Brigade coming to rescue you with a block and tackle! My OH has called me many things, but a little crippled onion isn't one of them! . .

Gem, enjoy the live streaming, and seeing your friends this evening. I wonder how long before the kittens persuade you to give them a bed in their preferred place! It's not just devoted cat mums who go to silly lengths to avoid disturbing their furbabies. Eva likes to sleep next to our bed so she has a bed, a pillow and a fluffy blanket on my side. That means if I get up in the night I have to get back in to bed from the bottom end, shuffling my way up and then rearrange the duvet.

No plans yet for us today. We've had a lie in so the day is only just starting.

Good morning, DS1 and family have arrived home this morning, they really enjoyed their week in York, loved the apartment, very close to the city centre. They went to Durham on Thursday, all enjoyed that as well.

It is a lovely day after a cold start, I went on the bike to the gym and could have done with my gloves.

Oma, leave the ironing!! The charity shops here usually accept clothes, I did see they aren't accepting childs car seats, chairs etc. In fact DIL1 had given me bag of wooden clothes hangers to either keep or take to the charity shop, as I have all I need I took them, they weren't too keen, one man had a look and saw they were good quality so he accepted them. Maybe because I had taken so many other items.

Gem, watch what you are doing going downstairs in the night! That is one of the things the fall prevention warns us about.

I ordered a jacket, I have enough winter ones, this was more for autumn, like today, it arrived yesterday, a lovely jacket, olive green, a good fit etc, wind and waterproof, then, I read the label. It can fade in the rain!!!! 3f891596-d041-4441-ac8b-6da4f8ea0913.jpg

                    So, it will be returned!

Lizzie, how ridiculous, a waterproof jacket which may fade in the rain! I think they often just state these things just to cover themselves, just in case.

Oma, when my sciatica was really bad I always sat on the loo seat to brush my teeth, and on a chair to do my hair and maje up. Just find the easiest way to do things - and leave the ironing board alone!

At last I am showered and dressed, being very lazy today. No plans as such but I might, might, clean the sitting room windows inside, they are not included in my GD’s cleaning. Or perhaps I wont. GD2’s partner is a very good cook and I shared a rice dish with them last evening. All four of them are vegetarians plus H of course.

Daisy, I am sure Eva likes being close to you. You feed her, walk her and train her, you are definitely the leader. Our dogs used to sleep in their own bed in the utility overnight. The bed dog we had was a border collie.

Gem, I love watching Phantom, seen it several times. Love the music. It will be great to see a live show.

Oma, I know how you feel, I am guilty of thinking I will just do that when I shouldn’t. Try to be sensible so you will be better sooner.

Gem, enjoy Phantom, and this evening with friends.

Lizzie, that not much use is it,a waterproof jacket that may fade in the rain.

I've made a bit of room in the big freezer,,and it is only a bit of room, so i can't go overboard with making meals.

Another dreich day as they say in Scotland! However, I did manage to get some bulbs in pots. They're the drop in tray ones, so no digging required. i put all the stuff on the storage chest and the pots are now in the shed out of reach of greedy squirrels. Had to sit down when I came in though, I think I'm finally beginning to realise just how much this pain is taking out of me. I do feel for Sum1 whose pain must be a lot worse than mine. I've been practising going up and down stairs with one crutch and banister to help. It's still a bit scary. And I'll also have to remember that I can't bend down to pick things up from the floor, so I have a grabbber to help me, that's great fun. It's like those fairground machines where you try to pick up a toy and it falls off just at the last minute! Frustrating to say the least!

my freezer is well stocked up now for the coming weeks. DD is a good cook, but I'm sure he'll appreciate having something ready to stick in the oven.

I have a tick list of things that need to be done over the next couple of days, Seems to get longer every time I look at it!

Oma, Hope you're pain soon eases and that your GD2 soon feels better Plant.

Have a good evening ladies. x
