We've just got back from our day out seeing friends. We've had a lovely day, but it was an extra long journey back due to a road closure. OH and I are both shattered, and I'm off to bed. I'll write a bit more about our day tomorrow.
Gem, sleep well even though you have to get up so early. Have a safe journey and a fantastic holiday. What time are you due to arrive?

Morning Nanto
Hope you get the gardening done today ,
Gem
Its Sodβs Law , same happened with B for emergency dental appointment, when We were away,
They rang to say they had a slot that day π
Daisy
Good to hear you had a nice day , I hope you slept well.
GS coming for breakfast before work and men coming to do my door then itβs hospital tonight.
B might have to go himself my back is playing up and Iβm a bit uncomfortable at the moment , I will see how I am at tea time,
Good morning, lots of flights delayed at Schiphol as well Gem.
It is dull and very humid, a shower forecast at 11am, but, they have been forecast a few days and never fall here, I bet this one does as I will be on my bike.
Oma, I hope your back pain soon eases.
Nanto, my neighbour doesn't know about the photo yet, I am waiting for her to walk this way then I can give her it. She is one with "instructions on use"! I get on fine with her though.
I am going to circuit soon, I have told the trainer about my knee so he will keep an eye on me.
GD1 is probably leaving the Lidl, she has been there over a year and they have had 6 or 7 managers in that time, all with different opinions! She is probably going to a warehouse that only deliver food orders, they have no shops, just the warehouse, it is very popular here, very! I see the special delivery vans all day in the village.
Good Wednesday morning, everyone. It's dry but a bit chilly here.
Nanto, I hope you get that gardening done ok today.
Gem, how frustrating to be sitting on a plane waiting to take off. I hope everything else goes smoothly.
Oma, how is your front door looking? I hope you're pleased with the new smart colour. How is MIL? Take care with your back - sitting on uncomfortable hospital chairs might not be a good idea if it's no better tonight.
Lizzie, six or 7 managers in just over a year must be a nightmare for your GD1. I bet each new manager wanted all the previous manager's ways of doing things changed. But she's gained good experience, and going to a different sort of environment will do her good. Your neighbour will be so thrilled with the photo. It was a lovely thought (and action) on your part.
OH went out first thing this morning - the new season of Last of the Summer Wine has started! The group who worked on OH's kit car are now working on one of several classic cars owned by someone else in the group. They all have a lovely time tinkering, talking cars and sharing their different skills. Eva and I are back at dog training this afternoon, after a long break. Goodness knows how we'll get on today!

I have just got home from the circuit training, the SIL of the friend that has had the open heart surgery is one of the regulars, I knew the friend had the operation on Monday morning and that she was rushed back into the operating theatre yesterday with an internal bleed, this lady was telling me that it is not looking well at all, the son that lives in Norway has arrived now, she is in touch with her eldest brother and he said it is 50/50 at the moment so we are all hoping that she does pull through.
Lizzie
I hope itβs better news about your friend in the next couple of days.
The other friend will love the photograph , how kind of you .
Gem
I suspect your in the air and almost there now after the delay.
Daisy
Door is lovely , we have to leave it open a couple of hours then B will put the new handle and letter box on ,
I will take a picture when itβs all done.
MIL was walking a little yesterday , hopefully they are doing the same today with her.
We got the gardening done, despite DS2 and DiIL paying a visit, then nephew popped in for a cuppa.
A couple of hours ago,we had a few spots of rain, not much though.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
Lizzie, what a worry for the family of your poorly friend. I do hope she recovers.
Oma, what a gorgeous shade of blue - it looks very Royal! It looks as though the painters have done a good job. Nice to see B, even if it is only his reflection. I hope your MIL has been helped with her walking again today. I'm sure Plant's GS (the physio) would say that's what she should be doing.
Nanto, you did well to get the gardening done with two lots of visitors, and dodging the rain as well. How was the lattice pie?
Gem, I hope you're settled in now and in holiday mode. Relaxing, drink in hand, watching the sunset from a balcony, etc, etc.
It was busy at dog training today. Eight dogs, including one new one - such a little cutie who reminded me of Hairy Maclary (from Donaldson's Dairy), even though she's a little girl. She did very well for a first class with us. Eva had a great time but came home exhausted. She went straight to bed and I had to call her for her dinner. Unheard of normally.
OH and his pals had a good day - he and someone else made a mudguard!
The weather forecast for the south looks dire for the next couple of days, but come hail or high water, I'll have to do the washing tomorrow morning.
