All this chat about physio's, I have had pain in my left knee a while now, I just called in at the physio and made an appointment for tomorrow, I do wonder if it is arthritis in my left foot the same as my right? Then I will be walking wrong, I will see what they have to say tomorrow.

Sorry, I was crashing in on Plants thread!

WG, I thought you must be going private, I would still be waiting for my knee if I hadn't!

I hope the unexpected lunch out goes well Daisy

I hope it cools down for you soon Lizzie.

It's so dull here today and it rained on the washing this afternoon! It's warm though.
No one to have coffee with at the pool today, so I came home after the class, had my shower then took myself out for lunch to my favourite cafe in the village

I'm going to put the finishing touches to the Minutes now, I don't want them waiting for me after my holiday
The salmon which I didn't have yesterday because I was at DD2's will be our tea tonight.

Been dull and miserable here. No gardening done, its drizzled on and off for most of the day.
Not to worry, tomorrow is another day.
According to what i saw on the net this morning,we are having a heatwave, starting on the 5th.

Daisy, nice to have a surprise lunch out.

I'm sure this changeable weather doesn't help with our various aches and pains! We had a bit of sunshine today, but mostly more of a sea mist, but quite warm - I didn't need a coat or jacket.

Lizzie, I do feel for you in the heat (much as I like it myself). I hope it cools down soon. How was the soup? It sounds delicious.

Nanto, I hope we get the heatwave as well, and it lasts at least a few days into our holiday!

Gem, did S enjoy the golf? What a pity you didn't manage to have coffee after your Aqua class, but treating yourself to lunch out was a good idea. It sounds as though you are well-organised for your holiday.

WeeGranny, you and your DD must have enjoyed having a chance to have a little wander, and to explore more of the town. A new dress and coffee and cake - definitely a good way to spend the day. Thank you for the paper details. I'm only just starting to try watercolours, and I'm confused about paper types. I always use canvas or canvas board for acrylics. By the way, the 300 g/m relates to the 'weight' or thickness of the paper. Ordinary paper you'd use in a home printer is usually 80 gsm (sorry, I know I'm a nerd!!). I read somewhere about cold pressed paper but have no idea what it is or why.

This morning I thought I might just have time to take the two dogs for a quick walk round the block before DIL1 and her Mum arrived. They arrived just as I was going out, so they came with me. Then we had a quick coffee at home, and realised we were due at the pub in less than 5 minutes. Anyway, we have a nice lunch and natter. Both the dogs went to sleep under the table. After lunch we took the dogs back home and went to one of our local garden centres (no dogs allowed) and had a browse round. I found a lovely bowl of deep pinky red cyclamen to take to our friends' tomorrow, and bought a few bulbs for our memory garden.

We came back home for a cup of tea and a hot cross bun, and more chat. So we had a lovely day. OH was pleased to have got the springs done on the kit car, although we was very tired.

Tomorrow we're going out for the day to visit some lovely friends in Somerset. So quite a long journey, and some other friends are going with us. We're looking forward to see them, but I may not be online, or at least not until the evening.

              Good morning.

Wow Daisy, that was a busy day for you yesterday.
Have a lovely day with your friends, visiting other friends.

We might get the garden done later this morning when hubby gets home. Depends on the weather.

I've planned an easy dinner in case we are gardening.
We will have fish fingers, crispy sliced potatoes and beans.

              Plant, how are you today?

Lizzie, very warm weather for you, we could do with it being a tad warmer.

Good Tuesday morning, everyone. It's been raining here and is damp and dull. The sort of day when you've no idea what to wear because it is actually quite warm.

We're leaving at 9.30 to go and see our friends. We're looking forward to the day out, but I need to get a move on to get ready and take Eva out for a walk before we leave.

Have a good day everyone. Hope to catch up this evening.

                  Good morning ladies.

                  Enjoy your day Daisy

I hope you get the gardening done Nan2.

OH enjoyed her golfing days but it must have tired here out. She slept through a lot of telly last night!!
She has all day today to do her packing, although knowing her she will do some garden jobs too.
Library for me this morning. We have an early start tomorrow so won't be late to bed tonight.

                    Morning ladies.
Exciting Gem , I hope you have a lovely relaxing holiday soak up some sun for us 😁❤️ give S a big hug from B and myself xxx

                    Daisy
Have a lovely day but no doubt you will be shattered tonight after that long drive there and back ,
                    A happy tired though 😁

                    Nanto
Hope you manage to get the gardening done ,
Are you doing anything particular to it or just general maintenance?

                    Plant
How are you today? hope you managed to sleep once you got into bed ,

We off to IKEA this morning then after lunch I’m going to wash the front door and sweep around as they are coming to spray my door tomorrow.

MIL was ok but still no physio since last week , no helping walking etc, we tried to talk to someone on our way out but everyone was busy.
Martin is ringing this morning try to get some answers.

Shes not getting any sleep either ,
There is a lady with dementia in the bed opposite and she screams high pitched all day and night , then she tries to get out of bed and take her clothes off.
Poor woman it isn’t her fault but she really should be in a side ward,
A nurse has to be with her almost every minute,

We are only their for a hour and that was enough for us , we could hardly hear or talk to MIL she screams so loudly ,
If that was us we would have lost our voice by now .
The least they could do is sedate this lady at night .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma, your poor MIL having to put up with that noise

Have a lovely holiday GEM. I have those wipes you recommended, very good.

I slept late, so late with painkiller, not good. Managed to get some breakfast

Plant Im glad you got the wipes, they really are good. I'm so sorry you are still suffering though.

Oma there was a noisy lady with dementia opposite my mum in hospital. In the end they moved her to a single room.

Very busy library morning! I'm having lunch now then packing. We need to drop my car into the garage at some point.

                          Gem, have a good holiday.xxx

I have just done my good deed for the day, the grandfather of the neighbour on the corner, she has no internet or whatever, he had a shop here in the village many years ago and on the local historical site there was a photo of him on his cycle, the first one in the village at the time, 1891. I copied it and mailed it to a print shop near me and I just went to pick it up, he printed 2 out for me so she can send one to her sister in California!

IMG_3263.jpgOn the same site was a photo of myself and hubby number one, at a wedding in the town hall, I couldn't figure our how or when then my friend posted that it was her wedding, she married my BIL at the time and as she wasn't then 21 her parents had to sign for them.

I have just ben to the physio, a nice "young" girl. She took me down to one of the men to make a scan, there is fluid in my knee, probably that is what causing the pain, for the arthritis in my foot I have an appointment with the podo therapist.

That was very kind of you Lizzie.

I was certain that after waiting weeks for a physio appointment and possible injection in my right knee that they would send me one for the time I was on holiday. It arrived today, for halfway through my holiday

Thanks Plant, and surprisingly they responded straight away with a new appointment!!!
It is for the Monday after we get back which means me missing aquafit, but I daren't refuse this one.
