    I think it is only right and proper that we should welcome Oma's new-born GG nephew into the world with a wee dram or two.

    It's quite late, so I'll have a small brandy, or if someone twists my arm a large one, and some olives, please bar person.

          I have just rescued this little guy who was 'helping' put up the decorations. The staff didn't seem too pleased

              I never made it here last night!
              I have just called in to check the decs though and very lovely they look. I'm glad to see mulled wine is back on the menu too

                It looks bright and festive, Gem. Perfect to get us in the mood!

                Being as it's December, I don't think it's too early to start on the mulled wine. Perhaps I'll try a couple of those delicious-looking appetisers as well.

                                It looks fabulous, Gem. Well done to everyone. We seem to have been very modest imbibers during Covid, but perhaps it's now time to live a little!


                                I like the Martini Bar in the Snug. I think I'll have a vodka martini (I used to love this years ago) and just some light snacks from the buffet.
