From Mimi: (Copied from Temporary Chatbox)

Daisy how is GS1 now ? I think a trip to A and E wouldn't have done anymore than you had done, plus all that waiting would have only upset GS1 even more. If it looks as if you want a second opinion on it you could always pop him to your local pharmacy and ask the pharmacist to have a look at it he/she would soon advise if he needs to see a Dr about it.

Did I miss an issue with chatbox 2 I didn't notice any gremlins, but then I not as technically advanced as our ladies on here who work hard to keep our forum up and running. Thankyou for setting up this temporary chatbox .
Yesterday I got really fed up with weather , in fact I had a little sulk about it, I wanted to sit out in the garden and enjoy the lovely flowers and just listen to the bees busy working while I read a book but consistent rain put an end to all thoughts of that. Are we ever going to get any summer I wonder ? (Personally I blame the kiddies, weather was lovely till the day they all broke up for the holidays) 😉😆
Hope every one is well and enjoy the day even if you have to do it in the rain

Mimi - I've copied your post from the temporary Chatobx, now this is working ok. Hope you don't mind.

Good morning from me! Granny Mary - thank you - you can go and get yourself a coffee now and relax!

GS1 seems fine, thank you. I haven't checked his war wound yet, but the pharmacist is a really good idea if it doesn't look too good. It seems from an experience visitors had here recently that our surgery sends non-registered people to the local Minor Injuries Unit - and a 4 hour wait is not unusual! Not ideal for a young man who finds waiting very difficult. But the patient has eaten a huge bowl of cereal and is now doing more soldering in the summerhouse!

Nanto - it does feel like Autumn is creeping up on us. Booo hooo.

We've got no plans for today yet except to take Eva out for lots of exercise - the poor dog didn't go out yesterday with all the dramas and I can see she's got itchy paws.

I hope the weather is better for Gem, although I think she said the forecast wasn't great. Safe journey to Qwerty today - follow the sun, Qwerty. xx

Gem - make the most of today's good weather.

Oma - I was doing some work on GRU yesterday when GS1 took a bad tumble - he was practising somersaults off his bed, landed badly and literally took the skin off his shin. He was hysterical, and in a lot of pain, so by the time I'd calmed him down enough to deal with it I was a nervous wreck too. Then a friend called round who happens to be a first aider at his works and said we should take GS to hospital!!!!! But the idea of taking GS to a busy, noisy hospital which is a long way away would be horrendous. He's noise sensitive and can't do waiting and was still on the edge of panic. So I decided to go for the mother's standby decision - "wait and see" as opposed to the childless corporate first aider whose first response is 'hospital'. Fortunately I think the wound will heal over ok - it looks nice and clean - but it's a battle to stop GS1 checking it out every 5 minutes, bless him.

Hopefully today will be less fraught. LOL

It sounds as though GS1 really needs his lie in today - he's a busy lad.

Daisy, hope GS is ok now.
Another busy day for me. Did housework at parents this morning.
Came home, and helped hubby with his latest project. Posted a photo.
Before it was his idea of a cottage garden effect,to me it was just a mess.
            Looks so much better now.

Japanese garden?. Actually a few boulders might take off the bareness

Nanto - it looks very neat and tidy now. I'd love a Japanese garden. I did look into it when we did our front garden 18 months ago, but to get it 'right' sounded quite difficult and not cheap, plus to be authentic you should rake the gravel regularly to keep it in the right patterns. But I find them so beautiful and peaceful. One day perhaps.

Gem - glad DD2 is back on good old Yorkshire soil. Dinner sounds yummy - I'm on my way! LOL

GS1 is much better! The wound is drying up and he's happy to let me put a clean plaster on it regularly. We've been out with Eva today, so both GS and Eva have had a good run round. OH has now taken GS to pick up some electronics things off Freecycle - he's a very happy bunny (GS, that is!)

                  Hello again!

                  Busy day for you Nan2!

Daisy, I'm glad to hear your GS is healing well.

That was a good day. This morning we walked right around the large lake and through the wood. We also sat on a bench overlooking the lake for some time, chatting. Back here for lunch then we drove to another beach. We sat a while amongst the dunes, but mostly we walked. We rewarded ourselves afterwards with a cuppa and slice of cake at a cafe.
In for the night now, pasta and the TV soaps
